Suyo Modern Peruvian Restaurant Review - Vancouver Foodie (Not Recommended)

Here is my review of my dinner at Suyo Modern Peruvian Restaurant & Bar, located at 3475 Main Street, Vancouver, B.C. We had the chef's tasting menu at $189 per person, a little expensive considering this is more than what 1 star Michelin restaurants charge in Vancouver. For the Peruvian experience, I actually prefer Ancora.

I appreciate the effort. As a peruvian who loves Lomo Saltado, it is that dish that gets me to be biased and love Suyo. Yeah, it is a bit too pricey. The customer service makes a huge difference.

Interesting. I went in October and really enjoyed it. I ate a la carte since as you noted the tasting menu seemed a bit pricy for a non-star restaurant. I'm not surprised that it wasn't "strong recommend" but surprised at "not recommend". As you said definitely a bit overpriced, but besides that I really enjoyed it

El Dub: yes, I am a bit surprised also since same owners as Ancora, which I really like. I think it was more the price of the tasting menu....would go back to try a la carte...maybe that would be a better experience. Cheers!

wt: I didn't know that! It is strange as Ancora's decor is more upscale but I believe the pricing at Suyo is higher and a bit more fusion. Perhaps it was just the tasting menu and I would have a different opinion if I just ate off the regular menu. Please like, subscribe and keep watching. Cheers!
