I actually listened to this podcast where this dude was saying there's all this scientific data supporting breathing through your nose, and basically it's the magical solution to every problem ever. Pretty dang kooky. I wonder if that's what Joe was thinking about when he said that. All I know is that it sucks really bad to not be able to breathe out my nose, makes me feel like I'm suffocating.
As a fighter with a long-term professional goal it doesn't worry me seeing stuff like this or when someone breaks a leg it doesn't make me excited but you gotta expect the worst , I go into every fight thinking I'll get ko'd embarrassed in front of my family or worse Injured fear keeps you safe all that fear and thought gies away when the first punch is thrown, then it's just WAR
@@sonofagooniegarcia8010 If the first thing you think is "i won't be able to breath through my nose" you probably shouldn't be a fighter, as someone who was trying to make to pro before things went wrong in my life i would say that the reafirmation of feeling well fighting anyone, the fact i absolutely destroyed my opponents in amateur made me very ignorant about how much i could get hurt, the fear of being Ko'ed, actually, the fear of losing will always be there because losing would be like losing the expectations people had on you, It could be the difference between going to a good organization or not. Essentially i was always training with pros and fought in amateur with people who now are doing well in pro and never got even droped by anything in the head, just body shots from a way heavier training partner, so the Idea of how special people around me made feel actually made me forget about how terribly things could go If i messed up. The Idea of someone breaking my nose like that was something that i never thought.

For a lot of guys, going to sport is basically the only option and most athletes are super underpaid, the competition is crazy and you can't make a life without school out of sport, in my situation my father got cancer and i needed to make a choice where i could keep myself in the hightly uncertain sport path or study my ass off for a more certain future. i choose study because i would not be able even to have a house If i didn't, my coach let me train for free since he liked my potential, yet i could not make up to his expectations, life is a bitch, i may not be in a octagon or ring but the real fight never stoped. I really hope you can do it.

People often forget that if you want to be a fighter not only do you have to endure exrutiating pain in the fight and still have to keep going,but you have to keep those scars for life and some may affect certain points in your life in a negative way forever

This reminded me of times when I was sick and congested really bad, when I would sneeze it would clear my air ways for like 20 seconds. It was like 20 seconds of heaven.
When you breed tru your nose that air gives you more oxygen than if you mouth breathing! What happens when you nose breed the air gets varmed and filtrered so when it reaches the lungs it's much easier to take up the oxygen and it's also increasing the nitrogen in the body....
I had my nose broken twice once someone tapped me on shoulder as I turned around he blitzed my nose didn’t get it fixed second time someone cracked me with a nun chuck again didn’t get it fixed and now I have to pull the skin to breath out of it too.
