Ain’t no way ain’t no freakin way
Thanks for the review guys! Was looking foeward to this one from y'all. Also my vote would be the 2nd photoshop rendering with the slit style front grille.
Oh wow, your front end design 💯 over Nissans.
How is nobody talking about Yuri's drifting. Yuri the 3 consecutive drift around the new Z looked amazing man! Gotta give credit here, that was some clean sliding.
🤷🏼♂️
@@TheStraightPipes more importantly , 0:15 what happened there lol . I buy salvage cars what is the location
probsbly because he owns a drift modified 350Z and drifts it, its on his gram
It had me sucked in like the bagel from Everything, Everywhere All At Once.
@@pkoya341 I’ve only got out 3 times with it before my back started hurting
The backend looks amazing. Glad to see you guys finally drive the car.
Not sure that makes up for the half finished front end lol
Was wondering where you went I thought Bald made you disappear this time, like we suspected you did to him months ago 😆
can we just talk about how perfect of a circle Yuri made with his second round of donuts haha
I was actually really impressed when I was filming them - Jakub
A grinding manual gearbox in a brand new car? That is like the ultimate deal killer. I can already picture the service department telling you it is user error.
The same thing happened in the Throttle House review.
@@THESLlCK Throttle House had the same problem with second gear. Maybe to the press car is a lemon?
@@THESLlCK Nop, even James and Thomas from Throttle House mentioned it.
EXACTLY who would buy this??🤣
I get the feeling the entire car is a hard pass. Seem like new makeup on a very old car. The engine is the only real big change.
The revised front end you showed is literally so much better it is criminal. The Customized Proto front end or whatever. Just perfect for the car, really rounds out the vibes the rear is putting off in a much more cohesive manner imo.
Nah it looks awkward
@@ld9387 more than the factory kit? I couldn't disagree more.
You guys need to send your Nissan Canada rep a bottle of the Armada cologne.
Get ready for Kicks burnouts
That Fairlady design is how they all should have been, that's gorgeous.
Needs a targa/t top version like the Z from the 80's. And the Fair lady front end does look a lot better
I think this’ll pull a lot of sales for Nissan, especially considering Supra pricing is more expensive, at least in Canada, compared to this.
Supra is 45k here🤥
@@user-mr4id9nj9g With a 4 cylinder. But an LSD.
it depends, I think the Nissan is the better one, but the supra is better in everyway besides being a BMW. There is more overhead in the supra, for anyone who is interested in modifying. Most importantly is that the engine is very good for tuning. The block can handle 600hp with the stock turbo just fine and could go past 1000hp with better parts. The twin turbo VR30in the Z, its starts to get dicey if you upgrade the turbo and push it past 600hp. This info is according to the tuners at AMS performance. Despite this, I would choose the Z over the supra probably but in my opinion it's not the better car. I don't think anyone who cares about having the highest numbers on paper will mind paying several thousand extra for much more performance
Imagine if playboicarti was full mexican and a youtuber.. well i smoke weed on my CZcams channel.. that’s basically me😭😭
Since they're all sold out already, not sure what the production volume will be
I personally have always liked the look of the z, but if Nissan made a body kit like the one they previewed in Tokyo it would probably sell a lot
In that show they said that the front end specifically can be optioned in the future
I love the standard front end, but I definitely need to see that Tokyo front end as either an option or aftermarket bumper, or maybe even a later facelift lol.
That front bumper is the way it should have been. The production front end is good, but the one from Tokyo Auto Salon was much better.
Nah, they need the Hycade Nismo now that's a body kit I would want.
OMG I have been waiting for this one! WOOT! Excited for the NisMO for sure! Great video Yuri and Jakub!!
The grinding gearbox is a hard pass on a brand new car. Seen various car reviewers have this problem
Good ol modern Nissan quality
It could be the same press car? But yes I wouldn't buy a 1st gen if the press car already has a problem because I drive just as hard or even harder on my cars.
@@wolftec5000 my clapped out 2000 civic doesn't grind gears lol should not happen on a new car. Maybe a lemon? But why would they knowingly give them a lemon seeing as they're going to show their impressions to millions of people
@@joel9405 🤣I hold Nissan, Subaru, other Japanese brands to a lower standard than my Toyotas and Hondas. Where I expect 200k+ miles of reliability If a Nissan lasted 100k without problems I would be happy.
Its a big problem when both the auto and manual for the Z car sucks. Nice going Nissan
Yes!!!! Finally!
I was waiting for you guys to review this car! Thank you
We were also waiting
Really love and appreciate the super honest review! Just adds much more credibility and trust for your guys channel.
Thanks we try
I had been waiting for the review of this car, as always amazing videos, keep up the great work.
A great golden video with you two together, doing your best stuff.
That phone call! 🤣
They must have been tracking us! 🤣
4:25 Carlos Ghosn still controls Nissan from the shadows 😳
Technically the A to Z plan was Ghosn's idea, but it was too little too late, since they arrested him before he could present it, and then he smuggled himself out of Japan.
@@LouisSubearth Ghosn was good for Nissan, saved them from bankruptcy and they treated him poorly, trash company
THANK YOU so much including the metric system convertions👍
I clicked the like button before watching the video just because of this intro i love you guys keep moving forward
If the front grill was shorter but wider to fill in the space and the lights were squareish it would be perfect. The split design might not work once number plates are mounted.
The fair lady split bumper from the auto show in Japan has a plate 🤷🏼♂️
@@TheStraightPipes the plates on the Fairlady blocks the grill. I'd design it so you can fit slimline plates on the bar without blocking the grill.
@@somerandomfella zip tie plates for a Z is my fav
The bottom section could easily be painted to match the body color.
@@TheStraightPipes Who runs a front plate on their sports cars? lol. Just leave them off and take the warning.
I agree with Jacob on looks. And also I wish they gave us the front look of Japanese Fairlady Z.
FINALLY. ive been waiting for this video for what seems like ages... such a cool car.
There's something about this video...where my WIFI went slightly slow for a few moments, where there was the interior shots of you guys driving that it looked like it was filmed 10-15years ago....Kinda matches this Z...
Funny, but amazing video, loved the filming
I really really like how this car looks, especially in blue. Seems like they mostly got it right
the blue in person is amazing
@@bchandy98 I’m jealous you’ve seen one in person!
I absolutely love the blue, personally I'd go for a dark blue tho with the matching blue interior, either that or the dark red with a matching interior, I forget the color name tho lol
Yuris 350 is tight as hell. Sick oem + spec.
Yesssss I love it
5:05 oh man! after looking at that old 2000's 300Z I will definitely look for a used one exactly same color as the one you showed here, it is amazing! I forgot how cool they look
I finally saw one for the first time on the road , same color. In love with it!
Been waiting for the Z review! Such a sick car 🔥🔥
Samsung galaxy Z fold and flip 💚
Heritage box ticking and cool AF to have as an option, it's still a Nissan, it'll have issues doing oddball stuff, just like a 240Z did, so you feel you bought genuine 🧐😉 gotta say that square intake is wrong, the rest is great. Love the channel 🇦🇺🇨🇦
I'm seriously loving the honesty in this review and that you listed the negatives of the car first instead of just hyping it like everyone else. New subscriber! Btw ppl have been saying the fuel cuts off during turns because of a poorly designed fuel pump not the actual traction control.
Yes it's horrible, hence buy the supra
@@roboticvenom1935 i cant live with the insanely horrible visibility of the supra or else i would.
Welcome to the channel
Most waited review from you guys 💥
So I’m seeing some red flags here. The transmission synchros are already grinding, and hard/unpleasant shifting. Nissan blocking drifting and turning off TCS. Sounds like this 1st revision of the new Z is going to have failing transmissions (manual).
We spoke to USA journalist friends who were allowed to drift it and do whatever. They didn't have any problems with the trans. Not sure what's going on with Canada and these Canadian units 🤷♂️
SG also found it has the same fuel cutoff issues on the track, apparently since the 350Z.
Edit: My point is that it has issues. TSP literally tested hundreds of press cars from other makes, and some are beaten to death and doesn't have these issues.
@@squidwardshouse67 Actually we're the first ones in the Canadian model. Look at the mileage on the cluster. These are brand new
@@TheStraightPipes I mean, would that be a reasonable explanation for why? break-in? Or do car companies generally not care about that for press fleets?
@@TheStraightPipes Goddamn you’re right. Now I’ll take the opposite stance and say the car isn’t broken in yet 🤣 Or Nissan put a shitty manual in
The call from Carlos killed me :)))
I can't say I'm surprised by the infotainment lag you guys mentioned on the backup camera. The Q50/60 has had that problem since they released
I've been waiting for this review! Woop!
the cutest Z

Mmhmm that front pump face just ….. too cute lol
Saw a clean stock 350z recently. It looked like a cute lil car for a teenage girl. Back in the day I thought they looked so cool
@@androiduberalles oh no I can’t unsee that emoji on the it 😂
Cannot wait to own the new Z! not sure if I should wait the following year, as first year releases are usually the "test" releases so you know there will be improvements next year 😆
Dig how you dudes geek out like best buds about cars. Glad you found each other. lol
I have been waiting, oh, so patiently for you guys to get in a 400Z!!!
Yuri really should get into car designing because that immediately made it better.
He’s done this before too with minor details and nails it.
The way you described the gearbox is exactly how the MT-82 is on the Mustang
Yuri, mad props on the wheelin' skills my G! Damn!
I ordered the Z in the GTA and we can definitely take it drifting if you can help with the tire situation! Dealer guy said maybe next month, but there's no guarantee so I can keep you posted.
Damn the channel is obviously making some good money. Because Yuri just bought a house in Toronto, a CX5 and now is offering to buy the new Z. Damn!!!
I love the new Nissan Z, they did such a great job on it with the design it just looks good.
I love the new samsung Z fold and flip !
I had a 2006 350, the transmission was exactly the same in that you had to manhandle the stick into second and other gears (but it didn’t grind). I actually always loved that about it. It’s not a forgiving transmission and that’s what made it engaging.
Awesome video
Hopefully they resolve the transmission issue quickly. Btw really excited for when you guys get a new type R I'm really excited about that one.
i mean if honda can get away with 2nd gear grinds for years i'm sure nissan won't be in any hurry. just youtube search savagegeese type r grind..
@@aaromon43 Honda 2nd and 3rd problem on 6speed is old news. My 2006 si had it, so did 2007 s2000 had it too.
I had an old Elantra years ago with a beta 2 swap and bolt ons and it grinded into 2nd every time. 210k miles on that transmission when I cooked that engine and the grinding never got worse over all those miles. But it’s still disconcerting, if they had to beef up the 1st and 2nd synchros in that “old”transmission to handle the extra torque, it’s gonna mean short transmission life for those who look to the aftermarket for more power.
I feel like this car is too full of issues for a new car, but I suspect it will still sell enough for a second gen refresh that addresses its issues with styling and performance.
FINALLY BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
This video and the Throttle House dropping at the same time, that's a good Wednesday!
Do you guys hand over the vehicles to them or them to you, since you're always so close, you're both near Toronto and always have the same press car?
the vr30 engines makes around 350wtq and 370whp to the ground
with an aftermarket exhaust and lower downpipes these figures are closer to 390whp and 400wtq on a stock tune. engine is underrated as we knew from the q50 q60 platforms and current dynos of the new z show the same numbers.
If the front end had the look of the thumbnail, I'd seriously consider this car.
yep!
There will be aftermarket bumpers, its a z
Lmaoo ew that bumper bar is ugly lol looks sooo tacky..there will be way more aggressive front bumpers than just a line
Finally! So excited to watch this!
What a thing to wake up to after a hangover
I'd probably go base model since I'd like to learn how to modify stuff
350z still one of my favorite cars, but this with the 240z-esque bumper you showed looks awesome!
Yuri doesn't look like himself without his glasses.. but thats probably just me 😂😂
Anyways.. Love the new Nissan Z. I would appreciate it if you guys do the '23 Kia Telluride X Pro vs '23 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek comparison review.
Also.. Its kinda weird that they dont let you do burnouts, drifting or even off traction. I think its because they realize they installed wrong tires
The telluride is way better 5hen the Nissan Pathfinder mate. The Nissan Pathfinder is not at the top of itself category per any reviewer, motor trend, car and driver, they all rate it lower. Nissans products are generally under, their new sentra is well priced though, it almost won mototrend car of the year
I been waiting for this bros!!!! Nissan really did sum special with this car!!!
I’ve been watching this channel as an non-subscriber. I may finally select “subscribe”Lol. Awesome review, as usual.
Man they should have rounded them front lights or set them in some. Something. I love the tail end though.
yuri's photoshop is ON POINT! ❤🔥
Thanks :-)
thanks for the review of the Nissan Zed
the legend is back
As a 370 owner the 1st to 2nd gear shift still being an issue is glaring to me and kind of throwing me off about the car. After so long something like this experience literally at the beginning of every drive should be addressed no?
Car seems like a nice upgrade once aftermarket becomes saturated.
Problem is the supra is the smarter buy. Significantly better engine, way more tuning potential, way better automatic transmission (and likely superior manual trans), lighter, better platform, better handling, better brakes, no horrible fuel cutoff at the track or spirited driving when tank is 50% or below, better built interior, etc. All for similar money
If you get the base model Z which is significantly cheaper you get ass brakes, open diff(WTF), super Spartan interior, the exhaust sound is even worse, and speakers are ass
If you're upgrading you'd grab a used supra, most likely
@@roboticvenom1935 unless you took one look at the supra and said "fucking yuck" like heaps of people did.
Plus if you're in the market for a Japanese sports car you're hardly gonna look at a BMW playing dress up
@@iguana51 "heaps" just false lmao?
"Market for Japanese sports car," what type of bullshit limitation did you just do? No, people are in the market for SPORTS CARS, if Hyundai made the BEST sports car for 30k, people aren't just gonna buy the BRZ because it happens to be made by Subaru lmao, they're gonna buy the Korean vehicle(notice the Veloster N and Elantra N get rave reviews and selling out everywhere, competing with Japanese civic type R for way less).
The supra literally beats this car, savageese the most technical reviewer and in their review they had both these cars on the TRACK said as much, supra is better overall no question.
Of course they're gonna look at the BETTER CAR, you're saying BMW can't build a good sports car haha? The Nissan Z is a sad sports car, it has fuel cut off when you're driving hard/on the track if you're gas tank is 50% of lower, no joke look it up it's embarrassing, this makes the car nearly undrivable in such a condition. We can go by each points, interior, fit and finish, engine, platform, weight, handling, exhaust, it loses on almost all.
@@roboticvenom1935 no, you missed my point, BMW absolutely and objectively makes great cars, but there are also absolutely JDM purists in the car community who will literally only buy Japanese cars, there are also Japanese patriots, just as there are American patriots who only buy Ford, GMC, etc and there are Australians who only buy Holden's
I'm not putting that limitation on people at large.
BMW can make the best supra ever, but the people I'm talking about will never consider it cause it's not made by Toyota.
Elantra n and Veloster n and to a degree even the i30n are all amazing cars and Korea is putting out some great stuff across the board but again, the specific people I'm talking about won't even register it as an option, because type Rs exist
Honestly I think they should have put the V8 and drive train from the Lexus LC500 in the new Supra and it would have broader appeal
I also take your point, the specific people I'm talking about is a much smaller minority than I'd originally given credit for
@@roboticvenom1935 NISSAN won't ignore a fuel delivery problem, and I think you should take a break from praising BMWs in every comment.
You guys had a perfect opportunity to do grand tour burnout drawing with that drone view 😂
Enjoyed the video. To be honest i am not crazy about the looks. Do prefer the look of the front end on the Fiarlady you showed in this video. But the overall car seems to be lacking somehow. Just my opinion which of course only matters to me. Keep up the great content.
I love the Photoshop montage, it always cracks me up
I’m baffled by how much love this car is getting especially for the engine. I have a 2017 Q60 RedSport and I think it looks way better and has a better interior and the same drivetrain, exhaust, etc. I mean I love that the Z is back and it looks good and I hope they sell well. But i think the RedSport needs more love. Althooooough I’m sort of glad they don’t get more love cuz people always trip on my car cuz you never see them.
No manual though, right? That alone makes it worth picking up the Z
As an Infiniti, it should have a better interior, exhaust, and a more comfy suspension though... right? It's a luxury sports car.
@@slow_bike_show the new supra has a manual and is undoubtedly the superior vehicle, buy that
@@roboticvenom1935 oh man if I had the dough...🤣 the supra is drop dead gorgeous.
And that Q60 handles way worse and is significantly slower and costs more..
In 2017 it was good but quickly because worse then competitors. The Q60/50 red sport has an outdated interior so it doesn't look as good as competition, outdated features(like wireless connectivity), worse performance, and worse handling, and has a much inferior automatic transmission vs competition (it's very old, and slower) and is overpriced that's why it gets slept on.
The 49k m240i smokes the q60 red sport, m340i also dogs on it completely, Kia stinger also beats it speed wise and is more practical with a more updated interior (hence it gets better reviews and always wins over the q60/50 in comparison tests), same goes for Audi's competition. Mercedes, not so much they're too bent on using 4 cylinders.
The front end is so close to looking good, but it’s just not quite there.
Yes it is !
Nah, it is there.
It looks terrible. Like a catfish
@@Postingam2 100% bro...ive said the same thing.. that headon view is the angle nissan messed up on and it looks unfinished, missing cooling ducts for the front brakes, the spots are There, but just blank like an unfinished render.. same with the nose. the grill and lights look fish like...not at all appealing headon... a catfish is spot on

I like the Datsun styling but that top half of the black "grille" would've looked cool if color matched.
Round headlights would've been cool too I think
Feels good to be excited for new manual cars. This, the Supra, and the new 86 are all hot.
Wow now the thumbnail look like the old original Nissan Z
Kinda feel like they could have done a better job on the headlights, the old car has a better front end.
Good job with the donut, Yuri!👍👍👍😍
Shoulda kissed the bumper eh
That exhaust note!!!
What I learned from this video: Yuri got a 350z, he likes to drift said Z, the 350z is the best Z car, it's cool, it can drift, and sounds good. They also had a yellow car that they were driving while talking about Yuri's 350z; I guess the exhaust was too loud in his 350z and messed with the audio for talking?
Hello - Jakub
もしグリルが気に入らなかったとしても、アフターマーケットでカスタム品は絶対出てくるから、それ以外が好みなら買いだな
I still think you should include the vehicles weight just after the "Horse Power & Torque" part. It tells so much more about what you're feeling.
Amazing car love how Nissan going in right direction.
A black one would look great to mask that massive grille
To answer the question in the thumbnail…NO. It’s a glossed up 350z. The 1st gen F Type has a greater chance of being a classic.
To be fair, the F-Type is a Jaguar so it has the same chance to be a classic as the XKR or any other Jaguar. The Nissan Z cars have never been particularly exotic or special, and have usually been fairly close to their Skyline or Infiniti underpinnings AFAIK. Even so, the 240Z, 280Z and so on (Z30 series) are classic cars now. Less so, the 1980's Z31 but I think they are getting to classic car status too. :)
changed up 370, actually.

I like this car but from the front it looks like something from Roblox lol
Mid Console looks slapped together with the HVAC vents above it. Looking like a Christmas Tree with how the vents stick out further than the infotainment screen. Should have dropped the size of the grill and allowed the front end to hang lower a bit but overal definitely a great redesign
Supra >
4:25 I laughed seeing Carlos Ghosn's picture🤣
I somehow still prefer the looks of the 370z
The 370z Nismo is one of the best looking modern Zs for sure. I like it better than this redesign.
Man there seems to be quite a bit off with this car. I don’t understand how anyone can spend money on this with the transmission issue
One issue with the transmission in a car that has been utterly flogged by every journalist. Hardly a lot off.
@@harrye.512 car was revealed over a year ago. Why the hell would Nissan give journalists a car that has an issue? It’s not like it magically teleports from one review to the next without someone from Nissan handling it
I haven't had the best luck with these engines. Had mine replaced 3 times in my Q50 red sport for owning the car for less than 3 years.
the 2003 350 Z 20 years later is still the sexiest of the serie
It took me a little time to warm up to the Supra, but the manual Supra, to me at least, it light years ahead of this in style. The only real complaint I ever heard about the Supra, other then no manual until now, was the wind buffeting issue, and of course its a BMW. But if I am going to spend the money, I would stretch a little more and definitely go Supra over this. I would also be concerned with the fact Nissan has struggled mightily in resent years and be concerned with corners being cut. The fact that more than one reviewer has now mentioned the issues with grinding in second gear is a major concern in my eyes
The drift look sick!
That call from "Nissan Canada" with Carlos Ghosn as the contact photo ... HA!
