Why would he get traumatized?
@@user-uq9eu5pf5h He tried to save the woman and ended up watching her plummet 6 stories to her death. Who would be traumatized after that.
@@user-uq9eu5pf5h Survivor’s guilt. He’s probably going to ask himself “what if I did this or that to save her” and realize he can’t change the past.
@@user-uq9eu5pf5h im with you.. I dont see how he would be traumatized for the rest of his life.
@@autosaver yea hes going to say.. Why didnt i fly up there and save her. Your absolutely right.
The warning is audible. So what about deaf people?
The attendant needs to be held accountable...

An quick animation of the event would clear up what actually happened
Yes, I'm having trouble understanding why she walked towards a moving bridge

I dont think they know
@Oye but then how did the bystander try and help her? Where was the bystander standing?
@@gavip24 I don't get it either. We need more details.
How ignorant of them to only provide cues for healthy young people. The disabled as well as the elderly are seriously disregarded in this country. Makes me sick.
How did she not notice the lights and sound???? It is still tragic but I don't get how this even happen. Its the same with rail crossings. The lights and sounds gets turned on WAY before the train arrives, or in this case, the bridge lifts up. Anyone in the middle should have enough time to get through before actually lifting. It's not like it warns people as it lifts, it does so ahead of time.
How horrific! That poor woman! OMG!
I still don't understand how a bystander could have tried to help her. Where was tje bystander? Seems like the report should have included more about that.
Yes I’m confused
She wasn't in the middle of the bridge. She was 10ft from the barrier arms. When the bridge raised up, she fell through the 'hinge' and landed on concrete under the bridge.
Would it be possible to add emergency stop buttons made accessible to pedestrians walking along these bridges? I'm not an engineer so it's just an idea but if a pedestrian got caught in the middle of the bridge rising, it'd be nice if they could have access to a button perhaps along the railing that would prevent the bridge from moving.
R.I.P. lady 🙏😇
Multiple security cameras must have been recording. What did they see?
The camera show the lady was crossing the bridge. toward the end of the bridge the bridge started going up . Camera also show draw bridge lady was sleeping and had her foot on the up button. My condolences to the family . Rip 🙏

I have always had a fear of driving over bridges above water. I fear falling into the water drowning in my car. I just winder if I died that way in a past life! 🤷 I feel so sorry for that elderly lady. What a painful way to go!! 😭
What if she was deaf?
My worst nightmare. That poor woman and so sorry for the bystander who tried to help. Traumatizing to say the least.
This is a real thing.. I didn't know that there are people in those watch towers that aren't supposed to lift it till the bridge is clear of cars and people. But i had no clue.. i heard sirens, and thought the bridge was going to lift with me on it regardless.. so I ran for my life.
I lived on an island (Alameda) in the San Francisco Bay Area. We always had plenty of warning with warning lights and blocking fences coming down. I loved living there, but l can believe her terror. Some of those draw bridges were very high.
Heartwarming story. Hopefully the people stranded didn’t suffer any issues being held up for hours on end
😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dont you DARE blame her!!! What a terrible unnecessary loss of precious life. Who is responsible for controlling the bridge? Somebody will be accountable for this.
Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
