Captain John Lerro was piloting the empty ship. He had piloted ships under the Bridge over 900 times but because of a major storm and poor visibility he was having a hard time controlling the empty ship and was unable to turn or stop the ship in time once he realized the it was going to hit the bridge. After a trial he was exonerated and his license was reinstated. A short time later he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and spent his time answering crisis hotlines and helping others. He died in 2002

A new bridge is to be built, my brothering laws company won the bid what do you know. If you saw what went on behind the scenes here/anywhere you'd be sickened. The bottom line is that a lot of money is made from disasters.. Look at the actions of a human being after something like this happens and it will tell you all you need to know. Look at the vultures lining up to get the work, thats all it is to the ones that didnt lose anyone.
