I didn't thought listening to my own voice could ruin another person's life, I promise I will never do it again, im so sorry
Didn't even notice the pronoun switch in the title, that's hilarious lmao
You should be ashamed
@@tabslol indeed he should
He listened to MY voice and ruined HIS life? damn bro my bad
No, you listening to YOUR own voice ruined his life
@@KaiseiKusamon its a joke
@@xxDxxism i think u missed that guys joke lol
4:15 about the average viewer watching twice, I fall asleep watching the videos sometimes because it’s very calming and isn’t loud or obnoxious and it’s just really easy to listen to.
His shorts can also be looped rather comfortably. It doesn't feel jarring or that noticeable while it is looped. I can play his shorts and accidentally loop it half a dozen times before it came to that it was looping.
The Walter White arc begins.
Obviously the voice actor geeks out about audio xd love them
The thing is, I like NileRed and his Videos are super interesting, but I like to watch them to fall a sleep to. Because its just feels like being in chemie class, while your teacher is talking and you just wannt to go home and sleep xD
Lol
Same thing pass to me in doug demuro reviews, i love cars but i cant watch those without falling asleep
@@OrlandoMGarcia okey, that i don't get.. He is so enthusiastic about evreything... I can't possible sleep while watching them
As someone who recently started CZcams stuff I can attest. The audio work is pretty satisfying. I don't take it to the extremes but it just sounds so much nicer once you've cut out your mouth noises and breaths between words. Also I start every recording session by making sure my voice is in the right tone and saying a few sentences before I hit record to minimalize that volume spike at the beginning. It's kinda funny hearing people who actually make a living off this talking about stuff that I've learned this year though.
15:27 says "like" MULTIPLE times xd
Most recognizable CZcams voices:
NileRed
Michael from Vsauce
The narrator at Kurzgesagt
morgan freeman and zefrank1
They be just milking this interview. And I'm all here for it.
Is it milking though? Cause clearly the target audience is people who wint bother with the actual podcast. So if the audience exists then why wouldnt they offer that option?
@@samuraibeluga3749 It's super convienent if you want just a specific section too - especially this section if you want to be serious about CZcams because there's four experienced CZcamsrs talking about speechcraft and how it can impact your video's audience
The original is 2 hours long and it was genuinely interesting all throughout
@@zel6010 Yeah, but the the problem, ultimately, is two-fold:
1) Rewatching: If there is a specific chapter that is not the start that you want to rewatch later on (lets say 30 minutes to an hour), CZcams isn't that great at storing where you left off (in my experience) and it really isn't worth the effort in the long run as...
2) Sections of the video being posted as an individual video cater the audience that simply don't have time (see point 1) or are not interested in seeing the whole thing. The latter is most notably seen in how stream clippers have a large audience because streams are roughly more excessive in runtime.
However, I agree that the original is definitely worth watching because you don't have to worry about consistency between videos as the transitions are seamless - especially when you aren't a CZcams premium user.
At best, it's worth treating it like how movie clips gets circulated around on CZcams but more official in that these highlight videos are from the creators so we (the audience) don't have to worry about the clip being taken down.
This is why I don't understand why people have been characterizing clips/highlights when if you search up *_any popular movie_* you will find clips.
Also, sorry for the long response!
@@MultiNaruto900 I'm thinking that original post said that they are milking the interview as in taking a lot of clips from the full podcast as a way to milk the views, but I'm saying that the whole podcast is good enough for them to do that.
can't he hire someone who he can just tell what to do and it's passive.
And then he can just wait till they say done and get the next part.
It's not the editing, it's the storytelling.
@@jobansand which he can partly put on the manslave. Basically take all the manual work out of it and just concentrate on the storytelling. It eases the mind and let's you do the work you really need to be doing. Also having a second person to bounce the concepts off helps too.
he said that there's hours of footage and points in the footage where he knows information that should not be dismissed would have to be added, but there's no visual cues to indicate that, so he'd have to monitor the process anyway, defeating the purpose of hiring the editor anyway, 2:37
@@uggranpops8442 90% of the work is done by just starting. He needs to bring someone in and then communicate to create a workflow for that.
Sometimes it's not just a money investment, but an investment in "accepting a change".
Hire someone, show him the current workflow, then discuss what kinds of work the hire can take, and coordinate a way to share the workload.
@@ayoCC valid point, never hurts to try after all
I started doing the "not using words multiple times" thing around 5th grade because of writing in school.
I agree, everyone I think has like a unique way of writing just like everyone has a recognizable voice
Dropping 'um'? Easy!
But then you notice that 'like' took its place. Gosh darn it.
Got that voice memo on repeat
There's more thought put into the editing of a NileRed video than most modern Hollywood movies put together.
12:55 not just youtubers, one of my friends has this thing, where he speaks and his attitude totally changes when he speaks to girl
4:15 I genuinely watch videos again and again to try and understand wtf is going on and I do eventually 😅
So Nilered is Chemistry ASMR?
Me listening to the entire NileRed episode through trash taste highlights
Nile Red has discovered how to write good scripts. That skill translates to good writing in general.
Nigel speaks in written language lmao
how he avoid repeating words is exactly what I do when i write stories or essays
I fucking love this channel
A 20 minute clip is not a clip, this is just part 4 of the episode.
exactly
Science Communications is its own seperate field of expertise, Nile is hard on himself but one of the best out there
Kinda weird how he won't say bottle twice but half of his sentences are combined with at least one "and" in the videos
very good insight
19:55 how many people watching this vid know what a CEGEP is? XD
When I record a video and uploaded on Instagram and when I hear my voice I'm like 😬 and I wanna be a va someday dang
I'm sure the "Freelance Video Editor that, for some reason, knows advanced Chemistry" demographic is *very* limited.
Sorry, Nigel...
Not only that, the way Nigel organize his content is so unique that it would take him longer to explain thing to a editor than just doing it by himself.
I love videos like this, stuff someone is passionate about that I have no clue of,
I would literally pay money for videos like these
Bro my voice is fucking amazing how do it ruin your life
Nile red has his channel as a front for the meth buisness
This is the exact moment Nigel becomes Nilesenberg
Tf is up with the title lol
Dam is my voice really that bad 😔
very important tbh
as a person who didn't like the way his voice sounded and did everything in his power to change it I get where these guys are coming from
20 min highlight? at this point I'll just watfh the full vid
Why wait when the link for the episode is in the description?
You have an attention span of a goldfish.
im sorry i wont speak again..
WHY NO ONE ASK ABOUT THE FUCKING GOLD?!?!
grammar at its finest
I write and using the same word twice in close proximity is the absolute worst. It instantly looks like you have a very limited vocabulary.
OMG, Nile's childhood is much like my daughter's. She got her first soldering burn at 8, learned to make gunpowder and fireworks around 9. She removed her first set of surgical staples aged just 4 and stitched me up for the first time at 11. She's 21 now and her friends are kinda freaked by her "weird" childhood.
[Insert yet another joke about the video title's poor grammar here]
For someone who doesn't like to repeat words, he sure likes to repeat "like" a lot.
Okay my friend you like.plis help
Sounds like Nile needs a film and edit crew. 🤔
depends... maybe he enjoys editing and putting the video together. If he earns enough money now, no reason to increase the production.
On one hand, Nilered might have a personal touch that can't quite be replicated.
On the other hand, the editor might be able to contribute/add things to the video that Nilered might not have thought of.
On 'the Weekly Planet' podcast - which also posts videos under 'Mr Sunday Movies' - one of the hosts mentioned how their editor managed to find/complete jokes that the host himself didn't think of.
So who knows - it could be quite a bit of work to set up a reliable team, but maybe Nilered could benefit from a crew who understand and get along with him!
Reading the title of this video ruined my life.
I agree with Connor’s flippant comment. I think it’s a bit of self-induced OCD tendencies. It seems that he is paying attention to repeating only *certain* words. Based on the way he was describing his “weird habit”, he seems to get stuck on repeating nouns specifically.
I re-listened to this, the second time paying more attention to him repeating ANY words close together, aaaaand: I’m sorry to disappoint him, but he repeats a LOT of words VERY often….
Some examples - as I have neither the time, nor the desire, to actually do a “statistical analysis” of his “sentences” - so here are a few examples I found: I, LIKE, just, and, “have to”, have, cuz/because.
Seriously though, the amount of times - and how often - he says “like” is more than even most pre-teens/teenagers….. 🙄 And the man says he HATES repeating words. It seems to be limited to: written speech (i.e. the text messages he mentions, and scripts) & recorded speech (as in his CZcams videos), not casually spoken speech (i.e. this podcast), and even more specifically NOUNS.
Just my take on this, it might be a bad take, but this IS Trash Taste, lol 😂
good
This guys literally keep interrupting the guy
Nigel talks in the same pattern as Elon Musk.
F
How did you comment 2 min before it’s posted
@@Pookus44 idk
Nigel's childhood seems weirdly normal to me.
He hasn't even died once. To me that's weird, I've also washed my hands in sulfuric acid, obviously diluted, come on, I'm not dumb, I learned to speak Danish, Swedish and English in the span of 2 years. Mind you this was 1998 to 2000 I was 6 and 8 respectively. And you might think learning 3 languages that young, so amazing... but I say no, Danish was due to my friend's family being Danish, Swedish because it is state mandatory education in Sweden, and English from Movies and Video Games... I unalived myself in early 2003... man next year 20 year unalived anniversary, legs stopped functioning properly, lived on morphine and painkillers for 10 years, because I still deemed playing sports fun... yeah...
Stopped practicing sports, got stuck on the internet...
Ngl the clickbait has been cringe lately
People unironically use cringe without the proper meaning
Where's the clickbait?
i'm going tbh, these clips are way too long. most podcast clips are like 1-10 mins, these ones are 15-20 mins. it's hard for me to get invested into like 1/4th of an episode.
Just watch the actual podcast??? Clearly this is working for them
I recommend the Trash Taste Shorts channel 👍
Why not just watch the actual podcast?
If they just show exactly the part where the video title is from then there will be no context whatsoever.
@@voltaicangelo it defeats the purpose of having a clips channel. the point of the clips channel is you give people a bite size amount of content to get them interested in the topics or the people involved. why the fuck would someone that doesn't know who these people are forego the clip and watch the whole podcast?
These titles have been weird lately, click bait then saying MY singing ruined his life lol
Juan browne @blancolirio cuts after every sentence. Its very hard if not impossible to watch.
