Try some PNG Coffee Today www.missionarybushpilot.com/coffee
Is there a chance for global sales of this coffee? I’d love to try some, but am in the Uk 🙁
Ryan you have the best flying job in the world !!!
How often do you have to stay over when landing away? !

@@2cvstan995 Me too in Australia.
This was some superb decision-making you showcased here! I especially loved how you described your reluctance to fly that departure "with people" if you weren't absolutely certain about the departure. Then you scouted it to ensure it was flyable. I hope your passengers appreciate how conscientious you are with their lives. Really great watching your airmanship here; thanks so much for posting1
I totally agree with you! Superb risk management by a great pilot.
I grew up in PNG as an MK and watching this 20, 25 years removed feels absolutely therapeutic. Also, i had so many questions and curiosities i never got to ask the pilots, and to get to hear the inner thoughts and decision processes like this is just immense to me. Thank you so much for doing this.
Avoiding mountains in daytime vfr, no big deal. Scattered clouds, daytime, no big deal. Mountains +scattered clouds - now that's a different story!
The time lapse footage of the return flight is great!
Brings back memories...I spent several days in Haia back in July 2004. I was on the first supply flight to land in three months due to weather. Hiked around with a local brother named Henry, went snake hunting, etc. One of the two elders gave me a couple spears, which I still have. Wish I could go back someday.
Keep safe. You are a grand example of that for the rest of aviators that don't get this experience...
Not succumbing to the pressure of “having to land” taking your time, outstanding outstanding video
I've said it before but I'll say it again, man i love these fast forward return flights! So cool.
I need a cup of coffee after that! 🤣🤣😂 Wonderful video. Great for instruction
A fine demonstration of pilotage! Haia is a challenging place to land - it looks deceptively open on approach but the nearer and lower you get the harder it is to see the runway even on a clear day. That was really gripping watching as you tried different approaches - the successful line up the river may have been clear of low cloud but the ridge on the left and the hills on the right make it really quite claustrophobic. The speeded up return flight gave a good demonstration of how the clouds and weather vary so much in a short distance. Excellent video - thank you.
That really looked like a bumpy ride after takeoff, going over those ridges.
We missed watching you work. Absolute joy to watch and you teach solid skills.
The relief in your voice once on the ground is palpable. You are one hell of a pilot and a credit to your company. Keep up the good work.
Neat one Ryan. The time-lapse return flight at the end of your two most recent videos is an neat way to end off
I don’t think I’d ever feel safe in a little single prop. I don’t even like prop aircraft in the first place! But you make it look so easy! What beautiful views too.
Seems like it's never boring flying in PNG.
nope, always changing
An excellent flight, a lot to deal with Ryan. But you handled it so professionally.
Roger
Great airplane, awesome pilot = successful mission! 👍👍
It was obviously a real nightmare for you Ryan but for us it was just spectacular to the extreme👌That was years of PNG experience at work, awesome video👍I'm sure that would have stressed Brad out big time😂
the wx actually got better for brad
Thanks a lot for this video - absolutely great airmanship. As I told in some earlier comments, I'm only a Simpilot, but try to do it as real as it gets (Vatsim).
Yesterday I took of (x-plane) in EDDS Stuttgart Germany with an A340 loaded with 30to of virtual cargo and 15 "new pilots" for PNG heading 16h to AYPY Port Moresby - callsign ANG1603. Yes only 15 Pax cause of the MTOW and 159to of fuel needed for this trip.
ETA around 1215z in AYPY today. Hope I'll able to take some video of the arrival, but not shure, cause flying an A340 as a "single pilot" is a heavy workload to land it.
God bless you and always happy landings
Always so interesting to watch Ryan, really appreciate you sharing and always pray you land safe.
Once again, every approach is like watching a high wire performer.
The viewer (i.e. me) is with you every step of the process .. at times even gasping for air, until you are safely on the ground.
Clearly God is your co-pilot and He has gifted you with amazing ability in such dangerous surroundings and demanding conditions.
Thanks for another spectacular flight.
Happy to see you back in PNG flying, Ryan. Awesome videos as usual. they just keep getting better and better. thank you for sharing. Followed you while you were on furlough and your awesome bush flying. Pretty exciting. hope you and your family had a good rest. fly safe and God be with you.
Stunning Ryan
I keep coming back to watch your works Mr.Ryan, beautiful flying as usual. I always feel impressed for the people in remote areas that having airstrips.
"Where's the runway? Oh, there it is!" Been there, done that. 🙂
Love these new outros!
Some good decision making there - well done!
Beautiful clouds, and great judgement calls. Thanks Ryan!
Loving this new style of finishing the video with the return leg - gives a great feeling of completion
Good job Ryan!
Another great video.
That was great!
Man I’m lovin’ those end shots!! Very cool indeed.
Great job.
I always enjoy the videos, looking forward to all the new ones there.
💯🙌 Thank you Ryan
Impressive skills Ryan . . . Enjoyed your production while sipping PNG coffee out of your coffee mug. Thanks, Bob
Thanks for the support!
Great job again landing, and showing and telling, and being understanding with all those children in your way. Great job be safe in joyed the flight with you great video. have a good one see ya on next video bye.
Wow! Another incredible video. You really do visit some wonderful places but they are not the easiest to fly I'm sure. My heart was in my mouth with the low clouds, mountains and really difficult terrain but, as always, you handled it all perfectly.
Beautiful ending! Thank you!
So many changes weather wise! Constant variables to consider. Amazing vfr flying. Thanks
Love the videos, really enjoying them, thanks for taking the time to share these.
Great video.
great video as always Ryan. Especially loved the Kodiak's max performance return flight with the Darkstar performance envelope. All seriousness though the timelapse at the end gave the video a bit more of a completion feeling.
The time-lapse of takeoff was awesome. Nice creativity
I'll try to recreate this flight in Flight Simulator. There's always something new to learn from your videos. Thank you and take care!
I’m so impressed with your very diligent decision process. Especially the low pass to fly the missed approach path while light and high. It’s easy to see how you can get in trouble really fast if you don’t consider all the contingencies. Praying for God’s protection for you and your family.
Good morning from Minnesota USA!! Really fantastic display of analyzing the situation and decision making!! Well done!
Another amazing video! Thank you! I enjoy the new return flight clips at the end. A good addition
Awesome Job Bubba. That landing gear takes a hell of ah workout. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks buddy. Every flight you make is breathtaking and the way you capture and display it is amazing. Love🥰 the job you do out there. I wish you many blessings.
nice job..wow
Loving the time lapse 2nd leg at the end of your vids!
Great video. Another solid short field landing (on a 1600 ft grass strip!) with hardly any float and just enough flare to plant your mains first... well done. I'd love to hear you call out what your eyes are on as you're coming in on final. That must be such an awesome experience for those kids.
Those arrows you are overlaying are VERY helpful to follow what’s going on, thank you!
You are the best Rayan
I liked the last two minutes the return trip in speed shot
I hope you can add it next time.
Thank you
I will try to if I can in the future. A lot of People enjoy that part as well
for some reason, i couldn't help but smile at the difference in tone so close together:
*urgently* SINK RATE. PULL UP. SINK RATE.
*calmly* five-hundred.
great decision-making, great flying, always love your videos :)
Great video! The time-lapse return flight was cool!
Really enjoyed that
Amazing landing! I was a little worried, but you were fantastic!
You had me on the edge of the seat. Nice job taking your time and flying by to verify your final decision to land.
Wow awesome
That was very interesting. Thanks for talking us through your thought process
Glad you enjoyed it!
GREAT video as usual 👍
Fantastic job on explaining everything.
Glad you liked it!
I've always wanted to be a pilot become across your channel really gives me the in-depth what it takes. I have all the mechanical and psychological abilities to fly, it's the instrumentation that terrifies me. My old school ability to calculate that's what allows me to be able to survive. But maybe that's why all the help through instrumentation keeps you alive, The only reason I say that because of the major failures on commercial airlines or terrifying to hear after the fact when the airplane landed and you can see the aftermath. But like water the air can be just as dangerous and you have to respect that. I think that's why I've become to enjoy your channel more than some form of pilot debrief. Now I can see why through strenuous regiment You have a better chance of success although I sometimes wonder relying on your equipment can sometimes be your detriment. This is where I lie when I trust of my equipment to a certain point, then I have to trust my instincts overall because I'm not going to let a machine dictate whether I'm going to survive.😊
Thanks.....
Thank you for the timelaps of the flight back!
You literally have one of the best jobs in the world... thanks for sharing a great video and for walking us through all of your procedures, thoughts, and decisions. It is really awesome to fly with you. Be well... 👍🙂
You are a brave man
That wet runway and that weight made her look heavy on take off to my eyes! Love the thought process, good to see your literally right back on it, its like you never left and flew that paper aeroplane for a while :D
I'm really digging this trend of showing the takeoff from the strip at the end.
Returning video is Excellent Sir...
That was crucial!
A work of art; showcasing everything I love about the channel.
Amazing!
Thanks!
Thank you for another interesting video. I am so impressed with the way you go about your business.
You never cease to amaze me with your flying and decision skills
Another interesting & Informative video Ryan. So many factors to consider. Surely beautiful country to view.
Glad you enjoyed it
Ryan, wonderful flying and great decision making. I am so impressed with your skills and commitment to getting the job done safely.
Awesome!
Thanks!
Tank you gor sharing your decision making process, God bless you all
one of your best productions actually
wow thanks!
Nice job!
thanks
Ryan --you are an inspiration
Awe just came across your channel. My brother had accepted a job in PNG 10 years ago as a missionary pilot unfortunately while he was fire spotting in Alberta Canada his plane crashed...😞but I'm happy to see what conditions he would have been piloting in. He had done mountain flying in Venezuela prior to his passing but very similar conditions. I believe they also had put wing extensions on the plane there. Very challenging flying to say the least and all the best.
Exciting ride. Make my IFR in the states look pretty easy
I wonder how Brad went, the patchy cloud looks like it was lifting when Ryan took off for the Goroka return.
I liked the hyperlapse at the end.
Ryan this one was so challenging i commend you very much for a run round.
Nice work Ryan, Best wishes, Brian I got some Atherton Tablelands cold drip coffee (Robusta medium roast shop at Kuranda where it is roasted, Next time you are in Cairns I could drop a couple of litres for you to try ... (talk about coal to Newcastle)
I usually do not like background music on youtube videos... mainly due to poor selections, played to loud and it usually covers up natural sounds however, you music selection at the end was spot on to set the exit mood of your flight... good job!
excellent video
Glad you liked it!
Man that approach looks like a nightmare.
You are a heck of pilot, Ryan! Did Brad get in?
yes he did get in. the wx got better
Great video! Great pilotage. Did Brad get out there?
Hi Ryan
Could you explain the proper way to do a traffic pattern in this aircraft as far as power management and timing etc?
Thx Lee
Love watching your videos. What is the shotest landing you've had in the kodiak 100? Thank you
I like the way you put passenger safety above completing the mission. What di you tell Brad?
