the skill, training and character needed to achieve this is quite something! Great work man!
It was very enjoyable flying vicariously with you! The topography of the land is amazing!! Also, enjoyed your walk through the village; it reminded me of my time in Madagascar.
Great flight and I like the fact that you talked your way through the entire flight like a great pilot talking out loud about the situation and dealing with all the events occurring and possibilities and options, as well as added ATC and other radio chatter...
The hike to the missionaries house was great, but the flight back to Goroka and manuevering through the clouds was fun and exciting for sure. It was also cool to hear NTH on the radio during the flight. Thanks Ryan!
I always like the landsacpe you´re flying over. Being a geologist and a pilot too it´s of course overwhelming for me.
That landing… beautiful… smooth as … and the front wheel perfectly on the center line… looks like you have done this before. 😁
Enjoying the PNG "retrospective"! Oh, and Ryan, had my first cup of Goroka Coffee today, tastes great - many thanks for bringing it all the way back home for us!!!
Awesome
Hell yeah this is better than Netflix
Nice & clear out of Diningat & then on to Ramu , then it's a blanket of cloud to Goroka. You do it well Ryan. Good to see a landing on 35L..Thanks again for another great ride.

Another great flight, Ryan! As others have said, I learn a lot by listening to your thought process! I know the ole disclaimer is that we shouldn't consider flight videos as 'training'.. but I swear, with as many of your videos I've watched for so long, and that you talk like a flight instructor, I think I could sit in the jump seat of the Kodiak with you and actually fly a few of these trips. But the P&G visual acumen required and routing and all the rest.. that's what takes a long time - of course. But as far as the basics of flying the Kodiak and radio calling. BOOM!
Really impressive approach. Great to hear your thought process. Many a pilot might have diverted. Great flying
Really brilliant real-world flying! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute and instructional too. Fantastic scenery, and great camera work and editing. Definitely be watching more!
Awesome flight! Think I had just as much fun watching as you had flying. Very good aviator you are, sir!
Experience paying off for mountain flying. Great job on approach to landing, thanx for the video, another smooth Ryan landing.😃👍👍
A proverbial 'greaser'! Perfec'!
Great info and kind of reminder of earlier days in a C 152. Thank you!
Thank you, Ryan. Yes, it was exciting.
Thank you for doing Gods work. You are a blessing!!
Another brilliant video and great insights into a commercial bush pilot's life. Very cool that you've done all of the MSFS stuff too👍😊✌️
Great job getting everyone safely at their destination! 👍👍
That's very cool you provide the info for MSFS flights. Ive been on MSFS since '83.
Wow... so close to the end of the runway for take off! I couldnt do it.. Excellent video as always
Hello from Minnesota USA! Another great episode!
Your videos are amazing
Thanks
Really enjoyed that one. Just now setting up the new computer and installing the simulators. Your add on package is on the top of my check list. Most of my flying is beta testing my stuff, but when I do some free flying, your routes will fill the ticket nicely. Love the Kodiak anyway, so it'll be a natural. Thanks for your work and dedication. Most appreciated sir.
"Glad that worked out". Haha! we all do. That was stressful to me. Good job! Thanks for the video!
Exciting flight! I'm always impressed with your skill as a pilot! 🙏
Kim Fischer......unskilled pilots don't last long in PNG.
Looked very relaxed making your way in. Nice flying.
thanks Ryan for another good flight, best wishes and take care
Not even 10mm off centre….perfect as always
Thanks
Alway great watching you fly the Kodiak. Safe travels.
Wow... My best friend, Nice video... Beautiful place Enjoy watching this video... Have a nice day.
Hi Ryan, when are you back in PNG? We all miss you being over there helping these small communities. I hope you return soon!
No place for mistakes! Amazing!
That was great flying, I would have diverted. Flying into a milk bowl is just my forte..
Nice, fun video to watch. Great landing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for a nice flight. I love your thoroughness. Also the resolution of the videos are very sharp.
Thanks
Another great takeoff and landing!!
As always
By the way I already received the Bush Pilot Checklist. Light on it is perfect
Thanks
Awesome, great to hear
Nice work! Keep it safe!
Hi..Ryan,thanks for sharing,I always enjoy your flight so much 💕 👍👍👏👏😃😃😃😃have a nice day 😊 😀
What luxury it is landing on 35L for a change ! :)
Greased that landing.
I REALLY enjoyed that one!! I like where you have to make decisions concerning go/no go situations. Interesting how you used all available information sources to make an informed decision (and a correct one I might add) To me, that is REAL flying!! Thanks for letting me come along again.
Great landing
Thanks for another great clip! One question I wonder: The grass at most mountain strips is always in perfect conditions like on a golf court. Do they mow the grass by a grass mower powered by gas and hand? Do they use frequently road rollers? Is it possible for you, that you create a clip about airstrip maintenence in this rural places in Papua?
ANC you did it all. Great job! You and Citation Max are both my inspiration for building my sim. Touch. Say it. Do it - with a check list if you are a newbie like me and or from memory like the pros. The only way to fly.
Thanks......
Thank you Ryan.
Great flight! Awesome editing!
Excellent job
Amazing flight, Ryan, glad to see you once more ☺️✌️
Ryan you are a rockstar pilot my man!!!! Enough said.
There are a lot of GA/Commercial youtube channels out there. A handful of those are permanently on my short list (blancolirio/mentour/gryder/bertorelli/mcspadden's air safety/etc..) This channel is special for me, maybe because of the detail I get to see and hear, the awesome situations I get to witness, but most precious of all, for me, is hearing the train of thought, in and out of the plane, checklists to landing and everything in between. I'm just fascinated by it and can't get enough of these. It's also interesting to me that someone can at the same time subscribe to a church and probably must accept some amount of superstitious nonsense (I don't get it, but I don't judge) and simultaneously fly highly technical brown-pants routes on a daily basis, -without- panic-blurting out a single reference to jesus/god (that I noticed so far). Anyhow, thank you for all the hard work.
Hope you guys are having a good furlough! Blessing…
So far pretty stressful, but it should calm down soon
Awesome job brother
Be nice to declair a maximum performance takeoff when you do it!
Sheesh, I wish I were there with you in the right seat…
10:04 Cruising past mountain peaks while dodging clouds is scary!
This is so bad ass, flying such a sophisticated aircraft into such a primitive place…
Great
Brilliant stuff. Thanks for taking the time to put this sort of thing together. Love it.
Best flight yet for me, great flying, thanks...
10 POB. I'll bet you wished that you had a cabin door :)
Great video, I'd love to be in the right seat with ya! Private pilot working on my instrument rating, this would be some great experience!
Great video 👍🙏
Rockstar!
You got a lot of run time down there mixing terrain and dodgy VFR.
You were lucky that yound the wide open gap in the clouds.
You made that look easy. Thanks again for sharing your time and! KANSAS USA
Cool
fly nice trip 😊👍🙌🙌🇫🇮
like a butterfly with sore feet :)
Great flight and very well handled.

Wheels off the ground literally seconds before you're off the edge of the cliff. Let's just say an aborted tekeoff would be 'interesting'. Enjoyed the video as always.
Yeah, it would be super scary
COFFEE - that Goroka Coffee is some of the best this Coffee snob has ever drAnk! The only thing I do NOT like is.... I am out and there is NO place to get more. #HelpMe
Sorry. I do have some my
Hagen coffee on my site now. That's just up the road about 4 he's from Goroka.
I find it remarkable that they have electricity and you get texts in that area.
Great video! Quick question about Patreon. How would the flight plans work for Xbox users? Are the printed out where we can manually enter them? Keep up the great work!!
Anyone else stop getting notifications for Ryan's new videos?
Thank you CZcams for not showing my videos to subscribers 🤦♂️
@@MissionaryBushPilot love you anyway! We know when and where to find you either way! Are you back in the states yet Ryan? Whats the next step for you with the heli plan going by the wayside?
same it took 6 months before i got one again
I was once foolish enough to be winched off in a glider when there was a layer of fog about 25 feet thick. Because the sun was visible from the ground, I assumed the reverse would be true, Wrong!
I landed my low performance glider by reference to airfield furniture showing above the fog. I was amazed after landing to find that I had landed back at my launch point. Never again!
Hey there, strangely T/O speeds calculated with 5400, even though the calculator showed 6400...landing later on again in the 6000 range...Could have been a bit slow on departure...? ;-) Cheers, good for all of us that worst cases rarely happen...
Good catch! I think it is probably a misstatement. He's apparently flown in and out of there before, so much of the audible checklist we heard was from past experience whereas the calculator was to be sure his wheels would leave the ground in the distance allowed.
Just curious Ryan, have you ever had live animals as passengers?
For sure, pigs, goats, birds, a turtle once
🎥😎 Fantastic Video, 10 POB with a Vacant Front Seat first For Me "How Was Your Cof G🕵⚖ ?
Super nice video question how many languages do you speak
What headsets are those and how well do they attenuate the engine noise?
Bet you're going to miss this kind of flying :-)!
Yeah I do
WOW!!!!!!!?
You left PNG ,back home?
Yes, back in the States
@@MissionaryBushPilot must of been a cultural shock going back lol
@@MissionaryBushPilot Ryan go back to PNG. You are dearly missed over there and the Kodiaks are missing you.
Visibility ok?
👍🏴
Didn't you have option of an ils approach or a gca approach?
-$2.99
That would be no, and no. The only ILS in PNG is Port Moresby. And GCA is a military thing.
Do they have landing lights or strobes?
Nope, nothing
@@MissionaryBushPilot At least the runway is paved.
dont you need a co pilot normally for flying
An aeroplane with MTOW of less than 5700KG does not need 2 pilots, unless the flight manual says otherwise. Kodiak is only 3,290KG MTOW.
Bush pilot work ......hum hum .....be careful ....
