Saurapods were carved or drawn by several civilisations all over the world, the dragon is a good case to ponder as countries like china, europe, the americas depicted the dragon as fire breathing, with wings and highly dangerous but how did these ancient civilisations know what a dragon looked like or even that it was dangerous?

Next Saturday at a Christian youth rally, a girl asked one of the boys, "Well, what about dinosaurs?" He clicked on the Job ref and she was amazed! He was so excited that he could answer her.

0:17: 🐉 The Bible talks about dragons in the Old Testament, indicating they were real creatures.
3:34: 🦕 The main reason why people deny the existence of dinosaurs is due to the influence of the evolutionary worldview and secular humanism, which does not align with the biblical timeline.
6:59: 🦕 The presence of dinosaur bones in specific rock layers is determined by the presence of index fossils, leading to the arbitrary definition of those rock layers as dinosaur rock layers.
10:17: 🐉 The video discusses the presence of dragons in the Old Testament and the shift in translation of the word 'dragon' in modern translations.

Behemoth couldn't possibly be a Hippo. The book of Jobs describes it as lying under the lotus trees , something a Hippo physically cannot do. Also Behemoth is literally means " beast beast " meaning something monstrous. Let's now cross reference to the Epic of Gilgamesh where he reports encountering a giant lizard / reptile " eating trees ". Notice eating trees.
Yeah .... then we have the flying fiery snake of Isaiah the Hebrew word is Seraphim which means " to flutter to and fro ". Snakes don't flutter to and fro , meaning it's an airborne reptile .And ' Tanniyn ' translated in modern Bibles as Jackal to sound less mystical . The Bible reports of the sun standing still - so how is any alteration to make it more acceptable to modern ( atheist ) audiences ?

Why would Revelation say dragon, even if it is a metaphor, if people in 95 AD didn't know what a dragon was?

    • @Transblucency
      @Transblucency Před 9 měsíci +13

Because the term existed in Greek mythology, describing large constricting serpents (which are a real thing and, if you think about who it describes in Revelation, is a much better metaphor).
Greek drsgons tend to be serpentine in nature but are occasionally chimerical - there were meant cases of chimerical dragons that had the heads and torsos of sea nymphs.
Other dragons include things like the Lernaean Hydra, which grow two heads for every one that was cut off. I doubt Bodie and friends are going to claim that any dinosaur had that power.
I think a particularly good refutation to the dragons as dinos that lived concurrently with man is that we did live concurrently with a large number of now extinct Pleistocene megafaunan mammals, like saber toothed tigers, mammoths, gliptodonts and giant sloths. We are able to get tissue samples and even short DNA chains from these creatures but we don't have equivalents from dinosaurs that arent songificnatly degraded.
It may be possible to breed something very close to a mammoth based on DNA samples. This is (sadly) not an option for any dino species.

@@user-kl3vd4ov9r We dont *know* the half lifes, but we can calculate them with a low degree of uncertainty. Since youtube doesnt like links, ill just quote the calculations posted on hps, which go way over my head. Tho do expect some messed up math syntax. If you care, you can easily enough google for the explanation yourself.. which clearly you didnt.
"In the case of 238U and some other long-lived radionuclides, one approach that has been used is to separate a pure sample of the radionuclide in a known chemical form, weigh the sample, and then measure the activity, A (disintegration rate). The half-life is then determined from the fundamental definition of activity as the product of the radionuclide decay constant, λ, and the number of radioactive atoms present, N.
One solves for λ and gets the half-life from the relationship λ = ln2/T1/2. The number of atoms is determined from the measured mass of the sample, its fractional mass content of the radionuclide, and Avogadro’s number, No = 6.022 x 1023 atoms g-1 atomic weight.
For example, suppose we isolate 5.00 mg of pure 238UO2, which contains 4.41 mg of 238U. The uranium decays 100 percent of the time by alpha emission. If the 5 mg were deposited in a thin uniform layer and counted for its alpha activity, and we obtained a count rate of 16.9 cps with an alpha detection efficiency of 0.315 counts per disintegration (Bq-s), we would then calculate
      A = 1014 cpm/0.315 c d-1 = 3219 dpm = λ N = (ln2/T1/2)(4.41 x 10-3 g/238.03 g/g-atomic weight)(6.022 x 1023 atoms/g-atomic weight).
      If we solve for T1/2 we obtain T1/2 = 2.40 x 1015 minutes = 4.57 x 109 years.
This would compare to the presently accepted value of 4.468 x 109 years. [..] The estimated uncertainty in this value is approximately 3 x 106 years."
End of quote. You can also cross-confirm dating methods. Radiometric dating is always accurate for a range of ages. We can calculate this range very easily if we know the rate of decay, since all that remains is stochastics. If you have two dating methods A and B, where A is accurate from 10.000 years to 1.000.000 years and B is accurate from 100 to 100.000 years, you can know that one of them is accurate, if the other is accurate, if their results match within the expected margin of error, for the shared range between 10.000 to 100.000 years. You can continue this in both directions, and you can also cross-confirm radiometric dating methods with (all) other dating methods, such as ice core samples, cave formations, plate tectonics, or even just tree ring counting. The TL;DR version is that, unless you want to claim that every last dating method humanity has ever used is incorrect, radiometric dating is accurate. They all tell the same story, and they all line up. Not to mention that there is also easier ways to disprove a young earth, if that's your main concern, since pretty much every field of science that deals with the past at all, and pretty much every dating method we have, allows us to reach the conclusion that earth is far older than 10.000 years - not to mention the universe itself. There is even living organisms that are thousands to tens of thousands of years ols, which should not exist, if a flood happened. Which it did not, obviously.

You can see the large scales protruding from its back... the problem is, they aren't scales. They're just decoration, which is clearly evident when the entire carving is viewed-- those 'scales' are everywhere, all over the animals, and all around the border of the entire piece. When you look at only that one animal, and see those 'scales' on its back, yeah, it looks like a stegosaurus, but like I said, it's just decoration and those 'scales' cover everything.

There’s too many depictions of them for them to be just a myth. The idea came from somewhere and we know how pagan the Egyptians were in Old Testament times. Same for the incans, mayans etc. Now it’s much harder to prove than this dragon thing. There’s bones for these dragons/dinosaurs and no physical evidence for fallen angel gods but I personally believe that they existed and probably built the pyramids with their Nephilim offspring

*Me and the Dinosaur* About 65 years ago, my father took us to see dinosaur tracks in the Paluxey River. What is now called "Dinosaur State Park". My dad knew the owner of the area and he let us play in the tracks al day long. Mom had made a picnic lunch it was fun! We were the only people there. It's not really a river, more of a wide creek with water you can wade through. But it wasn't just Dinosaurs tracks, there were HUMAN tracks! We didn't think anything odd about it. My sister was jumping in the dinosaur track and I was in the human tracks. If you see it, actually see the tracks, even play in the tracks, it's something you don't forget. Years later I saw an article that many tracks had been removed! WHY? Why would scientists do that? If something is there, it's there! Why destroy it and say "supposedly"? It was sad to hear about. But I know archeology has proven a lot of Biblical stories to be true. Whatever the mainstream science community wants to believe, they did exist with mankind. Ancient species of humanoid are starting to be discovered in China and around the world, 750,000 years+. so it is possible. There was a line in a scientific article years ago that admitted the humanoid footprints existed alongside the dinosaur tracks but refused to say "human" instead saying "Tracks of an unknown bipedal creature with distinct digital formation......." I had to laugh, couldn't say human or humanoid. In any case, maybe someone will let the truth be seen before it's destroyed. In my case, I thank my dad for letting up have an incredible, rare experience!

Well done video! I want to ask this question and would appreciate an answer. In the oldest depictions of dragons most of them don't look like they are spraying fire. They look like clouds of mist or smoke in stone metal and paint The rest of the depictions are fire , by the color etc. So could they be spraying an acidic, caustic or poisonous mist? Also without context, of an actual animal, them fiery could refer to the animals color or to the pain caused by whatever they actually did breathe out. What do you think about this theory?

I'm Japanese but I heard from a Chinese historian, in China, before the Qin Shi Huang Dynasty, the king was a person who served the only God in heaven. He was the first person in China to declare, "I, Qin Shi Huang, am not one who serves a god, but one who stands above all gods. I stand above everyone.'' and dragons were introduced on the national flag and in various other places. This Chinese dragon was a terrifying, ruthless, and dominating image. There was no image of God's creation, that they mate, raise offspring, are adorable, or that they are controlled by humans.
I feel like the rulers of the air want to instill in humans the image of an angry, carnivorous dinosaur with wings.
Even if you look at fossils, there are no dinosaurs that looked like carnivores and had four thick legs with wings.
Also compared to today, people sometimes see UFO, but it may be because we don't feel strange about flying metal vehicles such as airplanes. Similarly, it is possible that during the age of dinosaurs, there were people in a spiritual state who saw flying dragons that resembled dinosaurs.

My favorite one is the cockatrice. Ancient description describe it as being have reptile, half bird (usually half chicken). According to the “mythology”, the cockatrice is the result of a rooster or a creature that looks like a rooster laying an egg on a dung heap. The Bible states they lived in dens underground. I’ve pondered this a lot and realized it matches an extinct creature. The Oviraptor would have looked like a half reptile, half bird creature, looking very much half chicken. Their nests are very reminiscent of dung heaps and they have been found to live in burrows underground. I firmly believe that the cockatrice is the oviraptor. They are a perfect match. And according to the mythology, the cockatrice had either toxic breath or a toxic bite. So I think it is safe to say that the oviraptor could spit venom. Jurassic Park wasn’t too crazy with the venom spitting Dilophosaurus.
I’d also like to point out the Electrac Eel.

“Nobody believes the Bible means what it says, they believe it says what they mean.”
I find it ironic and iconic that we have the rights to believe a barren, desolate, burning, and lifeless earth would be better than its current state. We just can’t grapple with the fact that we shouldn’t be able to convince others to believe the same.

In the event of the apocalypse, the earth will be barren, desolate, burning and lifeless. There are many who don’t give God the option of not bringing this destruction. And make it their mission to convince others of the same thing.
If they couldn’t condemn to hell, those who can’t believe that, do you think they’d want to just let it be? Or would they want to kill them? As supposedly the crusaders did.

Glory, Honor, blessings, thanks and praise to the Lord my God,
for healing my heart during a heart attack!
    On March 26th 2022,
    just past midnight,
I was laying restless in bed,
and I had a heart attack.
My arms and legs became tingly and numb,
    then my chest got tighter,
and then my heart felt like it was being crushed.
So I sang out to God and Jesus,
    about my pain, my feelings,
    my faults and my inabilities.
As I sang, I began to feel like a river,
and a hand was on my back,
it's fingers where skimming the surface,
    separating the waters,
    causing ripples through my body.
Then the hand reached inside my chest,
    lit my heart on fire,
and the heat moved like waves through my body.
    When I was done singing,
    all the pain was gone,
and I looked at the clock,
    it was past 1am,
I had been singing near an hour.
Then the voice of my guardian angel called my name from above,
and there was a hymn of energy in the air,
the same hymn I hear in my dreams of God.
Hallelujah to the Lord my God for healing my heart!
Hallelujah for His son Jesus for saving my soul!
    Hallelujah for every day!
    Hallelujah for every breath!
The Lord is Faithful and true!
May the Lord Bless your hearts,
so that you have the will and strength to turn from selfish sins,
and flee from the slaveries of the flesh!

    • @trulyso734
      @trulyso734 Před 9 měsíci

Interesting but I believe the 'dragon/old serpent' for satan is allegory. That fallen creature, the rebel angel (satan, the devil) transformed himself entering the body of the snake.. which was initially a created animal with legs such as perhaps a great lizard. It was only after being used by the devil for his scheme that began the downfall of humans to sin (ie to disobedience/betrayal of confidence putting enmity or breaking the close bond of intimate fellowship between the humans and his and her Creator God), that God cursed it to the ground so it can only crawl on its belly around the ground all the days of its existence from then on.
Since both dragon and dinosaur fossils are found and can be deemed Pre Global Flood from the Days of Noah, I imagine logic might follow that Noah's descendents who migrated to different locations/regions of the post flood world first lived to pass on the story of those terrifying creatures that had gone preextinct off the face of the earth.. (as well as those hybrid part angel part human giants whom God had also destroyed to rid of that corruption incidentally)..
Then over time, that got further embellished into legend, given Godlike honour due stories of its mystical powers or cartoon 'friendly' flying sea serpent dragons and land dinosaurs.
So now I'd say today's archeological digs are most probably bone fragments from God's great reset flood. Beyond that, any current day sighting claims of these creatures yet alive are likely only from inspirational recreations I think.

@@salvagemonster3612 It’s not a fable, it is a historical fact! You do not have eyes to see, nor ears to, or the understanding as the Bible tells us. You like most people buy into mans dogma, because by not doing so means you must believe there is a Creator God, and His name is Jesus! Because of mankind’s sin(yes you also must acknowledge man’s sinfulness), we are fallen from our original position. But as most people who don’t want to give up their own will, and surrender to the Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ. You must have a heart change in your spirit of who you are. I can show you all the physical evidences that verify the Great Flood of Noah, like every mountain range has fossilized sea life, to include giant clams(some the size of golf carts, or a small car), closed(when mollusk die they open)! There is a road that leads from the Mediterranean to South America with right angle stones, and can be seen via satellite 🛰️ 📡! The Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans are essentially giant sink holes, when the earth cracked open like Genesis tells us, and the water came from beneath(the earth being mostly land at that point, and most of the water was subterranean). When the water released, there would have been void left so the land would have collapsed. This would have caused the formation of the mountain ranges we know today. We also find that in Alaska buried vertically, are trees( not fossilized) that dwarf(being over 600 ft tall)the redwoods of California. This is what you would need for the keel of the Ark, which would have been approximately 515-537 feet long. This would depend on the cubic used, Moses being educated as an Egypt. I could go on, but unless you feel the tug at your heart from the Holy Ghost/Spirit! Here’s one more bit of information that may help? The original Hebrew, and Greek languages that the Bible was written in, and are numerical in nature. For millennia scholars, have studied this undeniable design trait in the Biblical texts. The order, and structure is so precise, that it is mathematically impossible for any person on earth to have written any part of scripture without the guidance, direction from God! The chosen writers were basically secretary’s taking dictation.

In Numbers he is offered thirty two Midianite virgins, who are never heard from again, so we can assume they were eaten, like all of the lambs, calves, and first born children that the Bible also states are food for Yahweh."

That 25 ft monster might kill half a dozen men trying to kill it. The world pre-roman era was filled with monsters, the Romans weapons would have been better at facing them and it is probable many species we have no idea about were driven to extinctions or near it. It's the remnants of so species that possibly became the monsters of the middle ages. We forget that for most of human history man wages war against nature. What species exist today are the survivors of that war.

When I was growing up in southern California, the LaBrea Tar Pits were a natural phenomenon that had a related museum of alleged dragons dug up from deep in the Pits. Has anyone related to these remains as species of dragons?

There is so much that the government has covered up from us. We may never get to see the best things that have come out of La brea and other archaeological sites :/

      No, how would it fly?
Mythical dragons are way outside the physical proportions that would allow for flight.
You'd do better arguing for Pterodactyls.....

As for firey flying dragons I would check the translation against the Greek and Hebrew . I dont doubt the implication , only the exact wording. . (Might change the visual).

I watch many NDE reports. And one Lady sayed that the Designer of the Movie Avatar need to have insights to the Heaven. Because the "Dragons" in Avatar actually called there: Mountain banshees (Na'vi name: ikran whihch means Predator like a Eagle today), are looking the same. This is a amazing thing. So when i go in Heaven we can see all the Animals that once lived here (in sinfull nature= as calm and peacfull animals. Man iam excited for that.

That’s a whole lot of pagan nonsense. There’s literally no conceivable reason to trust NDE experiences from people who aren’t saved by Christ and are subject to demonic encounters like you are clearly describing.
I’ll pray for you! GOD Bless! ❤

@@narrowistheway77 Yeah there are NDEs which are talking from a God person and that they is just there like it is normal and dosent need any attetion to it. But there are NDEs which are full of Jesus and all of what is there. So you need to sort out what is from god given to tell us and what is not supporting god at all.
