    3 Hot Solos On 'Coquette'
I composed three example solos on ‘Coquette’ to give you a taste of how it should sound when licks scales, arpeggios and chords come together.
In each solo, I've taken Licks, Arpeggios, Scales and Chords and connected them in a way that makes the solo flow. I wanted to show you the process of doing this so you can do the same.
In the video I play all three of the solos so you can hear the different ways of soloing over the same chord changes.
Apart from having notes that fit the chords the trick is to make it musical. I've done that by leaving space, using bends and other gypsy ornaments.
If you would like the charts and backing track videos for this lesson then join the Gypsy Jazz Club and get access.
Every month we get together online and do a deep-dive on a specific gypsy jazz topic to build your musical muscles and add new skills to your bag of tricks. This is also a great time for you to ask me questions live.
All these sessions are recorded so that you can view them any time. This Epic Library is packed with 40+ hours of valuable on-demand training.
My mission is to help you make playing gypsy jazz guitar as easy and uncomplicated as possible.
I share much more inside my Gypsy Jazz Transfusion Club online membership site.

Super bouncy, melodic solos, very much in the spirit of this piece. Thanks for this Robin - will give them a go!

The hardest part of improvising a solo is to find those phrases that can be whistled in the bath afterwards. When we find one solo, it is a true measure of it's lyrical value, but to find three solos in a row, is a miracle as rare as finding a four leaf clover. Wonderful lesson Robin, you are the best teacher in town, thanks three times.

its weird how you said your first solo "is simple and basic" but tbh
melodic creativity like that and taking ideas from exactly like you and them there eyes and making them into coquette is anything but simple and basic.
beyond the popular django shred tunes like limehouse blues and even minor swing, I think he really aimed to be melodic when he was in the mood =)
    very beautiful solos robin!
    I miss you club!

Hey, Robin. New ideas for you.
    3 songs:
    Cou cou-Django Reinhardt
In a sentimental mood - you can choose the Django or Duke Ellington version
Happiness is just a thing called Joe-Peggy Lee.

How do I know that little melody from 12:11-12:15? Is that from a Django tune?
