Guy massively overvalued all their players. Imagine being delusional enough to believe a club would pay 80 million for Ramsdale and 70 million for Tomiyasu.

@@jayjohnson7140 No it won't. No amount of inflation will get you 150 million for a second choice keeper and backup right back. The best keeper in the world in Allison cost 60 million. For that sort of price you could get a dozen top class keepers that are better than Ramsdale. This is ridiculous on another level. You'd be lucky to get 40 mil for Ramsdale and 20 for Tomiyasu.

Just to defend my Ramsdale fee…
Alisson cost £66m in 2018. Ramsdale has a new contract, is English so he’s homegrown, and is still only 25 years old. There’s not many better prospects in the sport in that position, even if he’s behind Raya for me, marginally.
To an English club, say Newcastle or Chelsea which is where I’d imagine he’d end up, he could absolutely cost £60-80m.
Tomiyasu… maybe I was slightly ambitious but I love him. 😂

I think £50m for Tomiyasu would be a very fair price - to be honest I think he’s worth at least as much as that to this Arsenal side and could offer similar value at another top club, he’s just very underrated as you said. £70m is a stretch though.
The Ramsdale evaluation is shocking. Why would a club like Chelsea pay 60 million for him when they could get a much better keeper in Maignan for that sort of money? Newcastle have Pope who's better and cost 10 mil.
A keeper's evaluation drops drastically when they become the second choice. The selling club has no real power in negotiations cause it's obvious they don't want him anyway. Ramsdale is a solid Premier League goalkeeper prone to a few errors, even with English tax you'd get 40 mil at a push.

The choices you give for each position are wrong too many times. It made it impossible to choose the best 11. No one can say Partey rice and Odegard is not the best mid 3. You made it a forced choose btw partey and rice. Partey is a better 6 because he can create chances much better while still able to play the defensive side even if not as good defensively as rice. The offensive passing breaking lines of partey would benefit this Arsenal more.

Ramsdale could probably fetch £40m for being homegrown but I don't think a team would spend more than £30m on Tomiyasu, if selling to non-English clubs then that would go down to £20-25m. I don't think any European team would spend that much on a defender unless they were a bigger name or had a longer history of playing at the very top. For example, Inter bought Pavard for about £26m and he can play right-back/centre-back and has won the world cup and numerous trophies with Bayern and has a pedigree of consistently winning things too

I prefer Raya to Ramsdale, but i disagree that Ramsdale makes a low XG higher in 1v1 situations. One of the things Ramsdale was exceptional for last season was his handling of 1v1 situations. Most of the 1v1 against Ramsdale didn't end up as goals.
Well a goalkeeping expert has said it and I used to be a goalkeeper and he's not great at 1v1s
You sure this isn’t just an version of Ramsdale in your head that your thinking of? Back end of last season honestly it was hard knowing that Ramsdale almost always let’s a goal in if the other team gets a chance.
They didn't say he wasn't keeping goals out in a 1v1 they said he makes a 1v1 easier on the attacker than it could have been.
