I used walrein back in the day with swellow metagross and magneton for my lvl 100 matches back in 09 thru 11
I would rotate between the four but metagross was always on the team
I was very decent at competitive but couldn't ever get top 8 mostly because I used my favorites instead of actually viable meta mons
Only metagross was meta back then the rest nobody would use
Funny part was I would beat rock types with the swellow almost always plus 31 def n evs in defense and I made people rage at the fact I 1 v 1 their rock type with my flying type
Also I had kings rock because after a 1 v 1 flinch endeavor means i 2 v 1 n chucked the last mon

I used a Peliper as my flying type in one of my playthrough, switched to a Dragon type the moment I got access to it
Slowbro is the true MVP. Dishing out the final hit in both Jan and Wolfey's EK nuzlockes.
And Dusclops was 2nd last in both.
going through PC challenges Storm Silver run now and Slowbro is a beast in that. Makes me want to use him now. Literally never touched Slowbro in my 22 years of playing pokemon.
@@zachhamilton456 I used to play slowbro competitively in 3rd gen in pokemmo back in 2012 , it is a stalling MONSTER and you get attached to it real quick!
Shell armour and slack off is a powerful wombo combo
Well they had their own super stars jan had swellow and wolfey had kang and to a lesser extent medic ham and blaziken
Also dusclops did great too

That shell armor slowbro was an absolute beast during the elite four. Anything that relied on physical attacks just got intimidated and then pp stalled helplessly. Super cool with the leppa berry recycle strat too. Congrats on the win, I've been watching Pokemon Challenges Nuzlock this game for a while, its great to see you beat the game as well!

@@crispkiller6701 good question, after run 9 we started doing early resets for better natures/encounters and stopped counting. It's probably somewhere around 20/30
@@crispkiller6701 Early game RNG screwed him so badly he began rage resetting and everyone lost count lol. Best estimates are 20-30 actual attempted runs, 40-50 total resets for minor issues and testing starter RNG.

When I first saw this video, I misunderstood something in the first ~30 seconds, thought you said run 9 was a success, stopped the video immediately (before you said run 9 failed), and went back and watched all the runs from the beginning. I wasn't stressed on run 9 because I thought you'd said it was successful, and then it ended at the champion and I absolutely lost it haha.
Then I watched this video all the way and it was so awesome seeing you win. Thanks so much for the content Wolfe! Having something good playing while I've been packing up my apartment for a move the past week or two helped me a ton. Also, your editors are AMAZING. Their work on run 9 was the best I've seen in any nuzlocke videos on youtube.

Looking back, im still so immensely impressed how someone can get this good as nuzlocking THIS fast. Even with your vgc skill, your learning curve is incredibly steep and you inspired me to beat EK myself in the future.
Played this game back in high school around 5 to 6 years ago when it first came out and after finding your twitch and watching the emerald moves lose power on twitch led me to this nuzlocke on CZcams and can’t explain how insane of an accomplishment this is because I am currently replaying this game and forgot how insane it is and can’t believe you nuzlocked it congrats bro and enjoy the content. Just beat the fortree gym after prob 50 tries and reloading a certain turn till I got grit to win
I understood that Giratina cry reference on 1:52:30 and it cracked me up so hard 🤣

This series was definetly one of my favourite series of any videos i watched on youtube. Every time a new part came out I was super excited and saved to watch it during dinner with full attention (The content is just to good to have it running on the side).
