No, because at that point, you could feasibly run both on a team. You would see Intimdate Cycle strats outright nullifying sword dance setups.
Gen 9 super nerfed intimidate, with Kingambit, Clear Amulet, and Inner Focus being buffed, so it’s now not worth running multiple intimidators because you run the risk of them doing either nothing or losing you games.
I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that the 2013 champion Mamoswine didn’t have EVs on it because Arash Ommati forgot. And he still won.

@@cameronmyers5716in actuallity a correctly genned mon is indistinguishable from a non genned mon. The hardest part of genning a mon from the ground up is assigning the correct pid, but once that's done the rest is way simpler to do. Simpler things like using pkhex to only assign EVs or tera type is totally undetectable unless you mess up badly like going over the EV limit
At this point, I am convinced that Wolfey makes these videos just to remember everyone how much he hates and despises Incineroar, the rest is just a cover

Only Incineroar mastered all four mechanics. Only he could stop the ruthless Lando-Ts. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

Knock off was removed from a lot of pokemon this gen, including landorus. But you know who gained knock off? Yeah they buffed incineroar. The pokemon company really does play favourites

I’m honestly surprised that there isn’t a special attack version of intimidate out there yet.
Game Freak has always seemed to favor special attackers with stuff like burn and Intimidate.
Many special attackers have also other drawbacks. Many strong hits reduce spa attack for example

@@dominicpirola8240 fairy’s are single-handedly the most broken thing since it’s existence, the argument is kinda off if you consider how many strong special attacking hits have drawbacks, such as overheat, Draco meteor, solar beam and many more

Landorus Incarnate, while worse in VGC has historically outclassed Landorus Therian in singles. It has a ridiculously hard hitting Life Orb+Sheer Force set which has gotten it banned to Ubers every generation since its introduction, while Lando-T has been an OU staple. Lando-T has somewhat fallen off in singles in gen 9, but is still quite decent in OU and nowhere near bad.
Thundurus and Tornadus Therian have also been historically better than their incarnate forms in singles. Quite an interesting reversal of their dynamic in VGC.
Update: Lando-T is currently the best it’s ever been in Gen 9 OU.
The use of Little Z's 'Landorus-T' video in this video makes me very, very happy.
I really like this style of videos where you cover a specific Pokemon, whether you talk about new Pokemon and your thoughts about them, or old Pokemon and the reasons for their viability in competitive play

the line at 17:31 is correct, as in sword and shield just like in sun and moon before, landorus wasn't legal in the first format.

Wolfey being a Zatch Bell fan, I knew I liked this guy.
I’ve always loved Gliscor, since bats are my favorite animals and arachnids as a whole are also quite high up on my list. Was never fond of Landorus-T or I, their vibes were off.
But balance-wise, I’ve learned to appreciate their principles a tad more since the Steel reign of Gen 9. Great Tusk holds the mantle well as a successor, and I’m proud of Gliscor for breaching into Ubers.

While watching this video I finally successfully soft reseted for a shiny turtwig in bdsp. It’s now summer and I started this at the end of last summer so it’s been nearly a year. I took a break but in total this took about 300 hours. I will be naming it Sapling once I’ve talked to the professor.

Seeing this happened to Landorus, the poster boy of the series first major powercreep and the first powerful Pokémon to be locked behind what was basically DLC, I don't find this sad.

G5 the most notorious mon in both singles and doubles was arguably Latios clicking DGDM. Cresselia was the most used mon all gen in VGC and Thundurus I is consistently the most used genie.
Lando didnt get its footing until gen 6 but even in the gens its the top dog you have shit like Mega Kang.
Lando isnt even a top 20 Pokemon in current gen 6 OU funny enough
Dream Radar was free, with the only downside being the time you had to put into it to earn the Reveal Glass to allow you to get the Therian Formes.
The real DLC bullshit started with Urshifu, where for the low low price of 30 dollars, you get to break the game.

landorus didnt get power crept in singles. It got AXED. It lost its ENTIRE MOVEPOOL. See Natdex, where it still has its actual moves. Lando is still #1.

Even though, Landorus-T got overthrown on the VGC side, there's still another reason it's so notorious. This cat and OU might as well have been married and while I haven't watched the entirety of False Swipe Gaming's video on Landorus, considering they mainly talk about Singles and how many times they reference Lando-T in other videos, it's safe to say that OU was the main focus of that movie.
Singles was longer, but a lot of that was because of Lando I.

I’m just gonna say it Landorus Incarnite is so fun to use in Gen 9 VGC. It does so much damage and spamming Sandshear Storm in situations where I need to kill both Pokémon is a great substitute for my crippling gambling addiction. Landorus is my favourite competitive Pokémon.

"Tornadus and Thundurus-Therian were widely considered downgrades to their incarnate forms". In Tornadus's case, this only applies to Doubles. Tornadus-Therian was an absolute monster in Singles and was actually banned to Uber's in Gen V and considered one of the best Pokemon in OU in Gens 6 & 7.
This is like saying Jigglypuff is busted because it sweeps in Smash Bros. "Competitive singles" is basically an unlicensed fan game. You all shit the bed over Espathra, for crying out loud.
The video is discussing world championships and official tournaments, singles is irrelevant

We all know Wolfe will only talk abou tthe the format he plays though, and honestly that's a good thing. People shouldn't pretend to be interested in or knowledgeable about things they are not.
Though him lying when saying "the only competitive format is doubles" always lets us know that he is aware of singles, he could correctly say "the (only) official competitive format" and be completely right, but it's definitively not the only format people play competitively and we all know it.
