@@aprilaniel1048 naah 2021 Celtics are not complete that time with brown out due to injury and kemba walker not being able to contribute to the team due to also fresh from injury. Tatum was the only one carrying that team that year. This year 2022 really showed that Celtics duo tatum and brown are more reliable to carry a franchise than Herro and Robinson. Robinson does not have even a playing time in the playoffs.

yeah they were better but got held under 100 4 time and outplayed across the board except maybe the big positions lol...then lose 3. games in a row by double digits...get a 21 to 0 run put on them the most in finals history...wiggins avg 20 and 11 on Tatum...couldnt stop the warriors third quarter not once...and outside of an outlier game 1 should've lost 4 to 1...you don't lose three games in a row with no injuries if u the better team...then he said confidently lol...thats how I know he a real bozo like Draymond said lol

This is why they went after Gallinari. I’m so glad they got him. Brown and Tatum definitely ran out of gas and I don’t blame them because they had to hard series against Milwaukee and Miami. Golden State didn’t have as hard of a challenge. Gallinari will definitely play more than Grant Williams. Grant had a couple good games but he’s not that great. He’s falling in love with the three-point shot and he’s not that good at it reminds me of Jared Sullinger
People forget JT also played Olympic ball in the summer. He definitely ran out of gas, especially after the bucks series.

You guys have the luxury of having a great rim protector in rob and a solid one in Al Horford, so Gallo should be on the floor with one of them at all times. Grants defensive versatility is gonna still be super important matchup wise.
@@Yrgzip0 he was a big part of that Olympic team too. Plus he was coming off 2 really hard fought 7 game series. Not to mention, they swept the nets but that was one of the closest and most competitive sweeps I’ve ever seen. Every game was almsot down to the wire and each game was a battle.
People are so dumb sometimes. They are stuck on Grant saying Boston was the better team. Replace better with more talented and you might understand him. As a Heat fan going to the the Eastern Finals I knew Boston was the more talented team but I was counting on our professionalism to out last them because they hadn't really shown the ability to stay focused for an entire playoffs. I thought they were past that b.s. when they beat us but obviously they still have some growing to do but anyone who thinks they won't get there is not paying attention. If Boston can keep this group together they have at least 1or 2 champions in them.

The only reason they were favored is the hate for seeing the warriors get another chip. Did the warriors play bully ball like how the cavs came back in 2016? No. It was pure skill, shooting, and unselfish play. For all we know you may not get back to a finals or even a conference finals because Milwaukee, Philly, and the heat won’t be taken down as easily next year.

Good podcast why so short though :( As a warriors fan I kind of agree that Celts were the better team, Warriors just played better and Steph’s game 4 really changed the series. Felt like the Celtics had lost their mental edge in game 6 too.
I think they had the better individual talents but Warriors were the better team.
Tatum was completely gassed too. Not saying that’s why we lost, but when that happens and your role players don’t step up it’s not a good formula for success. Hope we get a rematch soon.
They had more talent or skill you can probably argue but ultimately, talent does not make you a better team. That championship experience with the Warriors really made the difference.
Also Celtics played a very hard true series getting to the finals while Golden State did not have has had hard of a challenge. Golden State won fair and square because their experience showed up and they had a good bench. Celtics I believe ran out of gas after those first couple games in the finals. Now they solidified their bench and I really hope it’s Golden State and Celtics in the finals again but I was at one of those games in Boston and it was pretty impressive watching curry. I never saw him live. I do it is freaking filthy lol

As for defensively, for the Celtics who were at least a tier or two below GSW offensively, for their defense to keep them within range most of the games I think equates to their defense being better overall. Yeah we might be down 16 but its only 74-58 nearing the end of the third because our defense was holding down GS as much as humanly possible.

Warriors were the better team once they figured out the Celtics and it wasn't really close. I mean, they took 3 in a row and two on the Celtics home court. If they replayed this series 5 times the warriors would win all 5. There is no alternate universe where the Celtics win one of those (barring injuries)...not sure how anyone could say the Celtics were 'better'. BIG part of that is that the Warriors best player is MUCH better than the Celtics best player.

They upgraded 3 spots. Looney was hurt his first 2 seasons, so was Curry. Poole spent a lot of 2nd year in
G league. Their new players are going to surprise you. Baldwin, Rollins & Santos. Weatherspoon will take GP2 place. And the other guys on the bench are better than your bench. Wiggins, Poole & Klay will play better.
Otto was hurt a lot. Not allowed to play back to back & was on a minutes restriction . They will miss Bjelica, but I think he might be able to come back after Euro League is over. Their 2 free agents will blend well. There's still lots of time to fix C's bench. They already spent way more money than Dubs.

Literally the whole premise of the celtics run is how inconsistent they are on offense but their defense is #1.
They finally ran into an offense that didnt rely on 1on1 scoring.
So they tried to make steph beat them alone by playing down and not letting green break down the defense.
It ended with the series tied 2-2.
Then they start playing up more in game 5 to ajudst which killed them. Cuz furry struggled but they still lose by a wide margin. And the same thing happened in game 6. It wasnt about these “silly” mistakes.
Heck. Celtics turned the ball over cuz the warriors had a defensive system to stop u guys. Brown doesnt jus tmagically lose the ball when drives to his left. He gets baited to driving. And the warriors kept swiping. Same with Tatum. Wiggins had him in jail

All these excuses about the Celtics being “gassed” or having the more challenging route to the finals make no sense. The Nets were disjointed and basically a two man show. The Bucks series went 7 games without Middleton. The Heat series went 7 games and they could’ve been eliminated IF Jimmy Butler hit that shot. The warriors didn’t load manage, they were coming off of significant injuries.

As a big Celtics fan I’m not that high on Grant Williams. Reminds me of Jared Sullinger. Did good as a rookie but then realized he’s not tall enough to play power forward or fast enough to play wing And he’s starting to fall in love with the three point shot when he stinks at it. I don’t think you watch basketball that closely anymore then. Grant Williams was an elite shooter last year. Converting over 41% of his 3s. There were only 15 other players that shot the ball better than he did from 3.
