So, ya think ya bought a cheap chainsaw fer notsomuch? Well, I got mine, an 18" Poulan Wild Thing, fer FREE at the Roadside Mall! All she needed was a new filter & fuel line kit ($10 on Amazon) and a new chain (around 20 bucks @ Lowes,) 'cause I was too lazy to sharpen it meself.

I have one of the two nuts, holding down the plastic chain guard, striped and in the down or on position. How can I get it off?
I am actually not sure what you could do there maybe try and cut it off and replace it. I wouldn’t know really what to do without looking at it
