EXCELLENT instructions! Easy to follow. Perfect camera views. Step by step. So good that I had to leave a comment -- which I rarely do. THANK YOU!
Side Note: Hubby said he couldn't remove the tree stump because the blade was too dull. So a year ago I bought a new chain. A year later the chain was still in the package it came in and the stump was still there. Today I changed the blade and tackled the stump thanks to your video.

I actually had the adjuster screw on Husqavana come loose and that part that gets threaded by it came off. Found the part but now the darn adjuster screw won't come out. Guy I have to get rough with it to remove the screw. Almost looks like Husqavana put some type of washer inside to stop the screw from coming out. Thanks for the video.

I keep the chain sharp and correctly tensioned. I haven't lost the adjusting screw, but I see how it can happen. Every once in a while I'll look down and the adjusting screw is spinning. The chain doesn't loosen and the bar nuts are tight to the clutch cover. When I take off the cover I can tell that the pin on the adjusting mechanism has disengaged from the bar. I don't see any damage anywhere, there's no obstruction, and neither the bar holes nor the pin appear to be worn. Any idea for why this occurs and how I can prevent it? Thanks.

Hey Don I noticed you using a tool to take off those first two nuts with a tool that looks like something that comes on a skidoo or generator for the spark plugs.. Why didn't you use a ratchet and socket to take those off?

  • @revanravia

it gets a spark, its a Homelite. we figuered it out, it was the plastic tighting knob, it striped it self out from haven to retighten it every few cuts. Im just gonna order a new panel for it. do you think it could be something else?
    thank you

I have a Poulan Pro and the chain adjuster is on the bar. I have noticed that after 5 or 6 hour of cutting the chain becomes detensioned quite quickly. Ever seen one of these? Any ideas as to why this might happen?
