Just replaced the chain on my saw, I am a 70 year old woman......glad to have these instructions though, wanted to make sure I had the chain on the right way. Mine was a tad different because mine is electric, ,mine has a little metal bar that goes in front of the sprocket to make sure the chain doesn't slip forward and off.
You go girl!!
I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
Thank you SO very much. This video was absolutely perfect. Very concise. I was having troubles with my chainsaw for a long time, and this helped me diagnose exactly what was wrong. Wonderfully explained. Excellent video!!!
Outstanding! You made my day. Thanks for the concise and well photographed video.
Thank you. Better than the instructions in the manual.
Simple and to the point. THANK YOU
thanks very much for the factual helpful video... fast...thoroughly explained...i owe you a beer or a coffee if we ever meet...cheers
Just worked on my chain saw. Good simple instructions helped out alot. Back in business. Thx
Thanks Saved me a trip to the repair shop!
Thanks
This video is everything I needed and nothing I didn't. My buddy who I'm borrowing the saw from had put the chain on backwards 🤦🏼♂️
Handy thing do is clean the bar completely and check the oil feed is clear then run chain oil around the bar grove to protect the bar as a new chain will be dry and run hot until oil finds its way around.
the new chain is not dry it is covered in oil, or mine was.....
Thank you kind sir this helped out very much
good ,the way to teach how to do it ,clearly, buen vídeo muy claras las instrucciones, gracias Sr..... Tanks

Thanks very much. That helped me fix my chain.
Thanks brotha
Thank you!
You did it but didn't talk about it. Make sure you lift up on the bar when you when the tension on top.
Thank you sir
gracias , muy fácil de entender
I have a Poulan electric chainsaw model ES300 and need to replace the drive gear since motor runs but chain doesn't. do you have a video or instructions on how to do this? this model doesn't have a brake and looks like you'd have to disassemble the motor side (my guess). thanks for any guidance.
At 1:15 you say direction of sharp edge pointing back, I wish you could have clarified by saying which sharp edge you taking about the 30 degree angle or the hook ?
Good video
Great video thanks!
very helpful
Thanks good info
Thanks. Very helpful.
Great video
Can you please show a video on how to install the chain on Poulan 14'' electric chainsaw, I undo everything while cleaning it , Cant put it back together it is not clear enough on the catalog diagram, Thanks
New Poulan 18" keeps pissing the chain. I've replaced it 3x with a max of 10 minutes use total. I keep seeing one is supposed to lift the end of the bar when tensioning. True or false?
I have the same saw but I did everything you did and it still won’t work
Just be sure that the tanksion screw is tightened correctly. Nothing worse than not enough tanksion when you’re using the chainsaw!
Tip from an avid mechanic. Take poulan chainsaw back to the store you bought it from or calmly throw the motherfucker in the trash after you use it The first time. I went through 4 in a week and the store I used decided to stop selling them. Buy one Stihl and you'll have it whenever you need it.
Hey mark how do we do this on the pln3516f
What do I do if I didn't make sure the brake was off?
What did mark ignore comment about pln3516f model?
can i convert a 14" ryobi 42cc 35cm oregon bar to a 16" chain ctc please
Your best bet would be to barrow a 16 inch bar and see if it will turn it
What if tension screw is not working at all?
I always thought that was the oiler,
If you're like me and didn't pay attention to the tension before removing the cover, this guy has a recommendation on how to make sure you get that tennsioner positioned correctly: czcams.com/video/5SrNNjFkJHs/video.htmlm32s
does the bar sit against the wheel or no
I don't like how he says scrench
amaters
Useless instructions on which direction the chain should be installed.
Watch the video at .25 playback speed and pause accordingly.
LAME video! ZERO information how to SOURCE a replacement CHAIN! Thumbs DOWN IMHO
