'A privilege': Swimming with endangered whale sharks in Qatar

  • Qatar's waters are host to some of the world's largest gatherings of whale sharks, the biggest fish on the planet.
    The gentle sea giants spotted in large numbers off the Qatari coast gather to feed on the abundance of fish eggs in the waters.
    Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker got exclusive access to head out to sea and swim with the endangered species.

    It is not about the temperature but also the food supply in that area are sufficient.

    Amazing! Our 7 year old and 9 year old just swam with Whales Shark in Cancun. We just posted a video! It’s so awesome!

    Please make a report about the kafala system practiced in Qatar where guest workers are treated like modern day slaves.

      I checked that up and it is true.i realized My family members are also subjected to this system as well. Are they overexploiting u badly too in qatar?

      They have changed that. There is no kafala system anymore. Maybe try to be updated.

      @@Qthetar , Sure, officially it has ended but in practice it still continues. It is
      reminiscent of how slavery officially is abolished in Mauritania and other muslim countries but in practice still continues.
