    Hola gran trabajo, que es esa pieza que pones entre el motor y el husillo??? Una especie de reductora?? Que centralita has usado para conectar al PC?? Gracias

    Sorry to ask you a question on an old vid, but how do you attach shaft to the shaft adapter? Glue, thread, press fit or maybe somethong else? Thanks :)

      @stijnsprojects  Před 7 měsíci

      You mean the connection between the motor shaft and the ball screw? I used a standard jaw coupling, these have a screw to clamp it to the shaft.

      @@stijnsprojects Sorry for measliding question. I meant piston shaft to the ballnut adapter. I have this dillema how to do it on my project. My first thought was threaded connection but I dont have a lathe with that large through hole to thread the shaft, so i'm looking for alternatives. Thanks.

      At 8:51 you can see how I connected the tube to the steel piece that bolts to the ball nut. There is an interference fit between the tube and the steel piece to ensure its straight and its welded on the bottom to secure it without deformation.

      @@stijnsprojects Thanks. I've seen it but now I know the details. 👍

    That was inspiring and excellent to watch , as a machinist in another lifetime :-) i can only dream of having a shop like that for DIY ....Exceelent workmanship and design . Congratulation on Job well done (Calvin AKA Wannabeaflyer Xsimulator ) :-)

    Best regards and blessings, can you help me build one? I'm not good with blueprints, could you tell me what to use?

  • @IAmTheSupremeEmperorOfFails

    I’ve been looking at building a rig for a while, where can I buy the electrical stuff and what moters should I go with?

    • @stijnsprojects
      @stijnsprojects  Před rokem

      Now that I've had my rig for a while, I think there are better designs. If I would make a new one, I would use RV030 gearboxes like dofreality but I would stick to brushless motors because they are so powerful. I bought my motors on Hobbyking but they are discontinued, I don't know what is a good price/performance replacement at the moment. Things like limit switches etc you can buy on AliExpress or eBay or ... .

    What Motors do you use for the actuator? Volt/watt/RPM?

    • @stijnsprojects
      @stijnsprojects  Před rokem

      These are Keda 6364 190Kv BLDC motors, they were sold by Hobbyking but are discontinued.

    Are these small motors good enough for the long term..... Can you upload a long term review of your rig please?

    • @stijnsprojects
      @stijnsprojects  Před rokem +1

      The size of the motors is good but if I would build it again, I would take lower Kv motors and run them at a higher voltage. I choose these because they were a very good deal at the time.

      The parts are not that expensive, but the work hours count up to a lot.
