  • A follow up video to my previous one of breaking down the Echo SRM-210 weedeater/trimmer and cleaning it. In this video I reassemble the trimmer. I also perform some routine maintenance on it as I rebuild the Echo SRM-210 weed trimmer.
I did not show the process of rebuilding the Zama kb-75 carburetor. I will include that in another video. I used the Echo Red Armor lubricant on the gear box and cable inside the shaft. I purchased both the lubricant and Echo Grease Gun from www.propartsdi...

Well, my son and I have registered an LLC for a Lawn Care Company, we are planning to run in our neighborhood. My boy turns 16 next spring, he has a job now but we thought it would be fun to own and run our own business. We just bought 5 echo whips, 1 echo edger, and a Toro whip for a grand total of $60. Two of them run pretty well, you can imagine. LOL. I'll probably watch this video and plenty of others multiple times this winter.... I'm hoping the rebuild of the 6th one will go easier than the rebuild of my first. :). I love you tube, thanks for creating this content. Without it; these sorts of projects would be next to impossible for people like me with little to no experience.

I have two srm 210’s a 225 and a 2620 and tbh I still use my 210s while my 225 and 2620 sit in the basement brand new lol with echo you never need a backup because they don’t break and if they do the first thing that goes after 25 years is the piston ring being worn down which is happening to one of my 210s so I’m excited to finally be able to tear down into and put this new ring I had stored for it in the basement for years

Best Trimmer Ever, those machines never fail, never broke down either, It was stored with gas for 8 years non ethanol and it still ran and it’s been with us for more than 13 years and it still runs perfect no problem great trimmef

Great project, very detailed work. I wish I had more time to do this kind of stuff - it's super satisfying.

Thank you sir! I found several engine "restoration" videos here on CZcams and got hooked. They were very satisfying to watch. I appreciate you taking some time to watch this video and comment.

These videos are timeless. They become go to’s for folks needing to do the same. 👍

Thank you for watching! I know I enjoy watching other people take things apart and then reassemble. I'm planning to do more of "how-to" videos on the other trimmers I have.

Wow... This might be over my "paygrade", but I'm trying to clean/rebuild one that my father left me (bought in 2008, I think). LOTS of leaking fuel/oil all over -- so the plan is to replace the carburetor (RB-K75), spark plug, filters, fuel lines and thoroughly clean everything. I expect when I take the fan case off (and I have to -- it's gross under and around the flywheel), I assume I'll need to regap the coil with an ignition air gap gauge? What's the gap, please? Do I need to buy an Echo Ignition Air Gap Gauge P/N 91004 (#.014=.35mm)? Hope you see this! Thanks.

Hello! I actually used a generic coil air gap tool. I set it to 0.010”

  • @jrblandscapingandsnowplowi4935

Lol I see you started to tighten the head on clockwise 😁, you got it though nice job brother. Counter clockwise to tighten so it won't spin off. #LETSGETIT

Looks like, in addition to small engine repair, you also know lighting and editing. Good on you man! :)

Thanks! Finding music is actually one of the harder parts of editing. I'm trying to get a grasp on this whole video story telling thing. Need to become more organized in my filming.

@@Lawntism the organized filming is the hardest part for me. Great job though!

The srm210 was a great trimmer but i feel the srm225 is a little more powerful.
