I work at an echo dealer I see this problem daily. It,s the ethanol fuel doing this I also replace a fair amount of gas tanks to. It,s really nice to see you back glad the new internet is working better
Nice fix, here is upper state N.Y. we had a little snow last night but I think I had better open up my shop and get busy as I still have 2 snow blowers and a gas powered skill saw to repair. You have an excellent channel.
I’m sure glad that the newer Echo machines use stainless Torx T27 fasteners. That was the only complaint that I had about the older machines were the different sized Allen head screws.
3 and 4 mm that’s all
No comprende the "I" start,, never seen that before,,, is that echo specific?
Thanks for sharing the knowledge young man.
Great video as always MM1, glad to see ya back at it , I have missed your videos
Great video. Got my replacement tank all ready to go!
am glad to see you post small engine videos.
Thanks. Stihl makes good stuff. Thanks again
Thanks for sharing your knowledge on small engines
Love Echo chain saws and weed eaters
Just started following. enjoying the videos
I wonder if this is my problem or if its my primer diaphragm gasket... i thought it was my primer but i see gas leaking without pumping it
I have an Echo SRM 225. When priming fuel will leak out of the vent. This is with a brand new carb, new fuel line kit, and tank grommet. It did this with the old carb, fuel lines, and tank grommet. Replaced them since the trimmer was two years old. No change still leaks out of the vent. Why is this happening?
You likely crossed the fuel lines. Fuel flows from the filter in the tank TO the carburetor, then TO the short pin on the purge bulb. The large pin on the purge bulb flows back to the tank without filter. The vent hose is a separate hose to the tank without filter. Watch this video czcams.com/video/3hYoo775X8U/video.html. The video starts slow but explains exactly what you need
@@paulmo4076 This leaked like this from the factory before I ever touched it.
I have an echo pe230 edger. It starts and idles ok and even revs up to full power when I hit the throttle but as soon as I put the blade to the grass it bogs down and dies. I checked the spark arrestor, and exhaust port... both clean... and no apparent leaks in the fuel lines. Any ideas on what to check next? One more thing: sometimes if I let it idle for a long while I can use it without it bogging down. I'm at a loss as to what to check next. Thank you.
Air leak
Hi. Question my leak is coming through the air filter. What to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍
I have same problem. Did you fix?
Ha. Can’t remember. I just lay it flat so it doesn’t leak. I was hoping the owner of this channel would advise.
I have a Stihl 94R and when I run it for a long period of time and shut it off. The damn thing is so hard to start up again. Maybe 30 or so pulls to get it to fire. And when it does I have to feather the throttle for a minute or so before she will stay going on her own. Any ideas as to what it could be. It runs smooth other then the hard to start when hot. Thanks, All the best.
Hard to tell! Is it flooding out as it sits? When you switch it off try loosening the gas cap to release pressure in the tank. Now restart ...... Does it start up? Sounds to me like it's flooding.....

@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 I thought it might be flooding as well. I have tired loosing the gas cap, that didn't help. Could it be a coil issue? It only happens when run for a long time and the trimmer gets really hot.
Why did it fire at the wrong time like that
Fires just right. What makes u think it's off?
When you pulled it off choke and let the pull rope go it fired later thats very cool
It fired when you let the pull rope go and it took a little bit
It's supposed to do that. It's called the "i" start system
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 oh ok i might get one for my echo srm 225 thanks
