I love this watch. I honestly get more compliments and notices from friends and strangers when wearing this more than when I wear watches that are 10x to 20x more expensive. I do think the design is amazing. The combination of the dial, complications and digital display together really make for a unique looking watch. The metal bezel makes it very noticeable in the light and more expensive than it really is. I also really like the full metal version (GM-B2100D), with the metal bracelet, but my wrist is too small to pull off the metal bracelet so I'm sticking with this one. I do agree that the day complication is difficult to read but you can tell what day it is from the position of the hand so that's fine. I don't have a problem with the negative display though, I think it looks great and very readable.
Thanks for the detailed comment. It is interesting which watches get noticed. I think the watch that folks have commented on the most in my collection is my Citizen Nighthawk, or my Bulova Lunar Pilot. The metal bracelet on the casioak and full metal square is also too large for my 6.5" wrist. Overall I agree, this is a good looking watch. I just prefer time only watches now.
which color you have mate
Thanks Kevin, good honest review!
Thank you again for the watch loan.
thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching and commenting.
thank you for this video. Im still on the fence here if I should get this half metal version vs the full metal version.
I guess it depends on how much you like the bracelet. I think there are some other upgrades with it as well.
Awesome Casioak nailed it
I agree, nice watch for the money
Hi.. you make really good videos.. can you please make few videos of different strap combinations of this this watch. Also can you please mention the strap size as a reply to this comment. It will be helpful to me. Thanks🙂
Thank you. As far as the strap size, it basically requires a casio replacement strap unless you use a strap adapter. I believe the L2L measurement is 16 mm.
It’s a little bigger than I’d like but it’s great looking. I avoid gshocks anymore, only because they make me question the need for any other watch. I’ve still got a few but I try really hard to avoid them…purely because they are too useful and inexpensive, they make my collection seem pointless.
There is a smaller version, well at least with the resin bezel, GMAS2100. However, yes I totally understand your point. A G-shock square can do everything you need, and last a lifetime as well.
There is now a unisex version, GMS-2100. 40mm diameter.
Thanks for sharing
What about a aftermarket version of this watch bezel like a mod, aliexpress etc i have a resin yellow GA-B2100.
That is an option as well, however the dial is upgraded on this one. Also, it is a little smaller.
@@WrongTimeWatch Is there a way I can work around this, like what other options could I chose from like the aftermarket G-Shock bezel like which models would work even though the dials upgraded on my GA-B2100, like which could I chose would be closer to the GA-B2100.
what is a difference between this 2100-1A and 2100-1AER
Same watch, 2100-1a is just an abbreviated form of 2100-1aer. I have seen it listed both ways.
@@WrongTimeWatch thanks for the reply
for someone who doesn't know the price
this looks like a $1000+ watch
It certainly does look more premium than the resin bezel.
@@WrongTimeWatch it looks more expensive than an apple watch right?
This casioak looks great even though it has a mineral crystal
You have to spend some big bucks to get a G-shock with a sapphire crystal. Well over $1,000.
@@WrongTimeWatch at that point by this one and ask your watch repair guy to get you a sphaire crystal
Beautiful CasiOak. I just wish it were smaller.
I don't think they have the metal bezel with the smaller size yet, but there is the GMAS2100, with the resin bezel, which is a few mm smaller.
