I’m using this video for my homework 😭
Well, I hope it helps! 😬
Well... now I know I only speak/write in fragments and run ons 🤦🏽♀️
Does predicate is verb ??
A predicate *contains* a verb, but the two are not exactly the same thing! A verb is a single, individual word. Take a look at the following sentence:
"My brother's dog ate my homework."
The complete predicate is "ate my homework." The simple predicate is "ate." And the word "ate" is a verb.
Let's look at one more:
"Yesterday, my sister celebrated her twentieth birthday."
The complete predicate is "celebrated her twentieth birthday." The simple predicate is "celebrated." And the word "celebrated" is a verb.
I hope this makes sense!
@kspaans really tank you. I understand it very well😊😊❤️
u cool
If the coma is present b/w two independent sentences then we called this a coma splice
Exactly!
Every body like and subscribe

How about this senteces, "They will try to make you unhappy, don't let them. They will try to tell you you're not free, don't listen." Are these sentences not run on?
Hey there! Because commands (sometimes called imperative statements) are technically considered sentences, yes, those would be run-ons. The proper punctuation would look something like this:
"They will try to make you unhappy. Don't let them. They will try to tell you you're not free. Don't listen." Alternatively, you could write, "They will try to make you unhappy; don't let them. They will try to tell you you're not free; don't listen."
Either way, commands like "Don't let them" and "Don't listen" are, in fact, sentences--so they need to have proper sentence boundaries.
I hope this helps!
@@kspaans Thank you very much! Sir.
When I go. Fragment
Exactly!
Please do passage
Hey there! I'm not sure I understand your request; can you explain what you mean by "passage"?
It’s like you know like you make a message right well he wants you to to make a passage or paragraph
This helped my child so much
