    I am subscribed to 2000 English learning CZcams channels. She is the best . #1. I’m Not kidding. She doesn’t play games. She makes a video to teach real things instead of those catchy trendy English Chanel’s videos that all they are interested in is in more subscribers. Thanks teacher. Don’t give up. People will be discovering you soon after your channel CZcams algorithms start being recognized. You deserve 1000000000000000000000 subscribers.

      You are very sweet. I appreciate your kind words and the feedback. To be honest, my family has been going through some difficulties lately, so I have not had much time to make videos these past few weeks. I hope to make some more good ones soon. :)

      In the sentence:
      "I saw a man dancing at the party.
      Is it a simple sentence or a complex one? My doubt is: Should I consider 'dancing at the part' participle phrase or participle clause?

    It is really helpful for using compound and compound complex sentence. Most of the errors are committed on such sentences in essay writing. Thank you mam

    Its one of the most fastest growing sport still its not popular with young people yet .
    Despite its growing popularity , its not an Olympic sport yet but still I do think it would be soon.
    Are those fine mam

    • @LearnAcademicEnglish

      Your sentences are missing punctuation. You wrote these:
      Its one of the most fastest growing sport still its not popular with young people yet .
      Despite its growing popularity , its not an Olympic sport yet but still I do think it would be soon.
      Here are the correct ones:
      It's one of the most fastest growing sport. Still it's not popular with young people yet .
      Despite its growing popularity , it's not an Olympic sport yet, but still I do think it would be soon.

    My favorite sport is soccer. I used to play it when I was young, but since I am older now, I just enjoy watching games (matches) on tv.
    I like watching European tournaments, because the European soccer clubs are very high level, and many of their players are the best in the world.

      Thanks for sharing. My husband and older son love to play and watch soccer, too. 😀 Your writing is perfect. One tiny correction: no comma before “because.” You can see a comma there sometimes, but according to the grammar rules, we don’t use one before most subordinating conjunctions.

    Thanks teacher for this great lesson and I also have some difficulty about the verb “help”, I know that we can use infinitive with or without to after help but I wonder if we could use gerund after that verb too? Could you please explain a bit regarding this? And if we can use gerund after that does it have a different meaning than help plus infinitive ? Thank you so much.

    • @LearnAcademicEnglish
      @LearnAcademicEnglish  Před 2 lety +2

      Good question! Yes, we always use the infinitive or base form of the verb after the verb help (Can you help me carry this? Can you help me to register for classes?). Usually we drop "to," but both are possible. In this case, we cannot use a gerund.
      However, you will see a gerund after "help" when help is a noun, like this: I need help fixing my car.

    in my exams this sentence was given to correct, ' my favourite pizza topping is mushrooms they are really tasty i also like pizza with olives' and i corrected it this way "My favourite pizza topping is mushrooms. They are really tasty. I also lilke pizza with olives." how is my correction ? some students are saying i should have put semi colon after 'mushrooms'. i need your thoughts

    • @LearnAcademicEnglish
      @LearnAcademicEnglish  Před 2 měsíci

      Either one is totally fine! The semi-colon makes sense because the two sentences are very closely connected in meaning. However, your correction is correct. Another way to correct it would be to add a conjunction: My favourite pizza topping is mushrooms because they are really tasty. I also like pizza with olives.

    Is the sentence is wrong:
    Despite its growing popularity, it's not an Olympic sport yet.
