- Welcome back to Tech-Check everyone, I recently built the 1st PC build on the channel in the
lian li o11 dynamic XL case.
Full Pc Build along using AMD 5950x and Asus X570 MB with a Asus Strix 2080TI as its virtually impossible to get either 6800XT or 3080/3090's - I also install 10 Corsair RGB fans 3 x ML120 & 7 X QL120's and the cooler is the new Corsair Capellix 360mm AIO. All connected to Corsair commander pro, I used the trusty 850 watt power supply from Seasonic. I went with trusty trident Z Neo ram from Gskill @ 3600mhz C16 and for storage I opted for 2 x PCIE 4 drives from Sabrent (Rocket version) 1 x 500GB & 1 x 2TB - This is also coupled with a 2.5inch 2TB SSD and a standard 3.5inch Seagate Barracuda 2TB which gives us 6.5TB total. This is all installed into the Lian Li PC 011 Dynamic XL version.

I just wanted to say thank you for helping me step by step complete my first build! The detail you went into explaining each and every step along the way, made this so easy to follow. Right from which motherboard mounting screw to use, to installing all those Corsair fans correctly you didn't skip over anything. I can honestly say, your video gave me the confidence to even attempt this. When I first hit the power button and everything lit up and worked perfectly, it's a feeling words can't describe!
@daveflynn Fantastic mate well pleased and I appreciate your support thank u so much 👍 happy gaming 😀
Mate thank you so much for this. You make things easy to understand and demonstrate things normally. Not highly edited etc just raw as we normal people do at home. Looking forward to your next videos.
@Elyas A I really appreciate that mate 👍 thank you 😊
Hi Everyone I hope u enjoyed the video. Its a different feeling having to narrate at the same time as just building. I hope you either learned something new or it helped with your builds. Have fun stay safe
Great video. Just a small suggestion. It would be nice if you get a second camera and have a top angle of everything you are doing.

I'm going to build a PC in this case next week so this video really helped with how I should cable manage everything since I'm gonna run an 360mm AIO and 6 extra fans. Awesome video, thanks!

Many many good things to say about this video.
First of all it just amazing !! Need to see more long tutorial videos like this, love the way you talked, showed every single parts of a pc. Very good chance for someone like me( beginner) and even everyone who want to build a pc by their own. How the cable look like and try to learn through something like this.
Second of all, wish you a the best and keep moving on king!!!
P/s : I am going to build my pc after 6 weeks as well , wish me luck guys
I really appreciate that thank you, it means alot to me make sure to stick around as I do lots of these build and I'm glad I hoped and ps. Good luck with your build too.
I’ve decided on this case for my first build. It’s just a perfect case all around lol
I still have mine 2 years later and love it 😀

@@TechCheckUK somewhat. Same AIO, ram, and case, want to go 3080 gpu. But did MSI MPG z490 mobo with i9 10850 and 10 lian li uni fans

I feel late to this but I had a prebuilt and wanted to upgrade my PC and i just came across this AFTER i put mine together and now I am rethinking everything and will probably use this video as a guide. I wish I saw this sooner
Thanks mate I really appreciate you taking the time to comment 👍 glad it helped.
This guide really helped me with the process of this case. I’m swapping a few parts and the case of course, it went well at first pretty simple but I can’t get any power whatsoever to the motherboard. All the connections are correct, power switch is on, tried another PSU etc.
I was gonna get a new motherboard anyway, it arrives today I’m REALLY hoping it does the trick
Sorry to hear the mobo issue mate - thanks 4 tge support and watching! Just ensure the front IO connections are correct.
Nice build! I literally watched this for 2 hours straight 😂
Thank you very much I really appreciate your support 👍
Thank you so much for making this video! 😀I just made a similar build and this video helped me a lot. Made the building process much more enjoyable and easier. Just like you in the video I also had to wait for the next day for my Corsair Commander Pro to arrive 🙂

Great video mate, I've just subbed. Looking at building a PC myself next year and really like the look of this case. Last PC I had was way back in 2012 with a GTX 680. So I'm a bit rusty with all the new rgb stuff etc lol.
I'll probably use this video as a reference. Thanks a lot for taking the time to make this, it's gonna help a lot of people 👍👍👍
Really appreciate the support and any questions fire away ill try help cheers 🍻
@@TechCheckUK thanks mate I'm sure I'll have a few. I'm hoping that the 3080's will be a bit easier to get hold of by then. Definitely going Ryzen for the CPU. Probably 5900x will be enough for me.
Gonna go for full NVME storage as a 2tb drive will be enough for my needs, saves messing around with 2.5 drives and SATA cables.
It's the fans I'm most concerned about, I really love RGB and it looks a bit complicated with all the extra wires and controller modules etc lol, your video really explains it well so I'll be coming back to it I'm sure. Thanks again 👍
No problem 😊 the fan hubs and controllers are always a pain but its always easiest for wiring to concentrate on 1 at a time whether that be power or rgb do all those and then move to next. I'm still waiting for my 3080 also for 7 weeks 😪
@@TechCheckUK yeah the supply is ridiculous Nvidia dropped the ball on the 3080 launch for sure. Hearing rumours of a 3080ti version with more VRAM for next year so I may just hold out for that. But as always with PC parts if you wait for the next best thing you'd never buy anything lol. Hope you get the 3080 soon pal, your PC is gorgeous by the way. That case is a work of art and the rgb really sets it off
Great I'm planning to build in this case with very similar components so thank you for giving me such detailed instruction. Straight up subbed this channel
Thanks ThomasKLS good luck with the build any questions just ask no worries and thank you for your support 👍

Great Video!!! Currently building with the same case and 10 fans also... Really liked how you explained how to wire up the Node Cores and the Commander Pro. Only thing I noticed is your one rear fan was supposed to be an exhaust fan but looks like an intake.

This is very similar to the build im about to make. Only difference is the ryzen 5800x, 3080 and the corsair ram. This is a fantastic reference vid dude. Keep it up! 👍
@Dusk I appreciate the comments pal thanks get subscribed as I'm hoping my editing skills.improve the content will get better and better 👍
I'm changing my case from CM Storm Trooper to the O11XL because of bad radiator mounting. I'm going for Black one with minimum RGB. I ordered Grey Noctua Redux fans and I'll use 360mm Kraken Z at the top as an exhaust. Only RGB is going to be MSI Meg strip and Evga RTX 3080ti and the pump display. I love the step by step way you explain everything and create this amazing build.
Thanks mate glad you liked it and I think you making a good choice with the case change. I appreciate the support 👍
Cheers man nice rig

Hey man I really appreciate you making the build video for O11 XL. I picked up the black ROG Cert. one. I know what you mean by having the GPU in the cart and then not being able to get it. I was finally able to order mine and now waiting to get my new Gigabyte Aorus RTX 3070 and I can't wait.
@RichardWilliams Thanks 4 the support and congrats on the killer system 👏
I've got the same case and have 10 fans installed. Rad at the top, in push, fan at the back in push. And 3 fans at the bottom and 3 at the side for pull. So much space in this case, planning a custom loop at some point.
@Ben Hawes Make sure you share pics of the loop
Спасибо за проделанную работу, классно получилось. На мой взгляд данный корпус один из лучших как внешне так и с точки зрения продуваемости.
Thanks I really like the case also - i had to translate hope I got this right :)

Thanx, and glad it helped 😀
This was an amazing video! I just finished following this guide with these exact same parts! Only problem is I just realized this video is 2 years old so I presume I have 2 year old parts 😐
The only thing in this build that's dated though mate is the gpu and tbh is your playing 1440p or at 1080p u got nothing to worry about as you can play max settings in moat games. Appreciate the comment 👍
Great video
Thanks mate i really appreciate it
Finally built my new PC for the most part, only part I am missing is an upgraded graphics card.
I will admit though, I was kinda worried when I booted up without connecting it to my monitor. The RED led strip had me worried.
But thankfully now I know that only meant that It was lacking an operating system, which once I realized my hdmi cable wasn't in the card's hdmi port but in the board I installed the OS.
Though of course with an outdated GPU, the resolution is terrible, usable but terrible. Not game worthy, but atleast I can install the basics and prep for the day I can get a proper GPU for a more MSRP price, instead of a scalped one.
Thank you again for this video, it really helped me build it.
Thanks well done and enjoy all the best 👍
Great video I'm building in 5 days with almost every piece the same
@Juan Ortiz your in for a treat then as this case and config works amazing make sure to subscribe as more lian li stiff coming up regards

@Chocolate Rulez1 welcome mate and good luck 👍
Great video mate! I will be doing a very similar build myself very soon. Just wanted to point out that the last fan you installed at the back of your case was an intake fan rather than an exhaust! Keep up the hustle tho man, best of luck with your health also
Yeah thanks m8 I noticed lol I changed immediately after. I appreciate the support 🙏
@@TechCheckUK no worries x
Get well soon
Thank you 😊
Extremely helpful video. With regards to the fan speeds, are you able to adjust all of the fans' speed individually by utilizing a 2nd commander pro? I've noticed on other builds that incorporate a splitter cable (2-1) that you essentially 'link' the 2 fan speeds that connect via the splitter cable and are thus not able to.
@Dewald yes my friend really easy and individual control over all fans 😀 thanks for the support make sure to subscribe as lots new builds and content coming. Regards Gareth
@@TechCheckUK Thanks for the feedback Gareth! I'm currently waiting for my parts and I'm planning to build in 2-3 weeks time. Your vid is exactly what I had in mind and since I've watched it I just wish I had the parts already. I'll have the same case (but black version), CPU, AIO cooler and QL120 fans, but I'm getting the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero mobo, Asus RTX 3090 Strix OC, WD SN850 2Tb and 128Gb RAM...
Wow nice man I'm still waiting for the 3090/3080 feels bad. Thanks 4 the support and good luck this will be amazing 👏
I will be attempting my build soon with this case and will be using the Lian Li SL Infinity 120mm fans throughout including push/pull on the side radiator. Should be much less cables with their new system utilizing the LConnect3 controller and only one cable per fan group. I will be adding their Strimer V2 Plus cables for the 24pin and the 2x8pin video cables. Should be fun!
100% Robert lots less cables 😀 it sou ds like a beast of a system I wish u the best of luck on the build 👍
Great build! I am looking to get the same case and complete a very similar build. However there are not many nice 120mm fans currently available and wanted to use the Lian Li SL fans as they connect together and cut down on the leads. I can get the SL140mm fans though and wondered if there would be room at the top and bottom to fit 3x140mm fans in the case? There looks like there is room for them and the SL140’s clip together so would only really need to screw the middle one of the 3 fans in. What are your thoughts?
3 x 140s won't fit at the top or the bottom :(
Thanks for the video, how are your temps?
I am building the same build except I have a Aorus master MB. I am just waiting for corsair fans to be back on stock to start my build. you just got yourself one more sub.
I appreciate ya man thanks 😊 temps seem really good but with 10 fans I would be worried if not. I'm getting idle CPU 34C GPU 40 and underload and saturated CPU max 70C and GPU 79C good luck on the build Yann 👍 ps its like your own little mini heater 😀
Thank you!
No problem thanks 4 watching 😊
Im a newbie to building pcs, and i have the o11 xl as my first case. Cant wait to use this video as a reference. Im doing a ryzen 9 5900 build with Radeon 6900xt. Idk when I’ll be able to buy the gpu 😂 but I’m just gonna buy the other parts to start with
@BigMikeGaming - yeah buy what ya can and then get the gpu when u find something in budget mate 👍 thanks for your support and this video will hopefully help out when you come to building.
Thanks vor the nice Video - i learned many things about wiring RGB-Stuff on the back. The only thing which triggers me is the strong Connection of the AIO between Radiator and CPU cooler. I also ordered the Lian Li XL O11 Dynamic and took the Radiator via Push method out of the Top. Can you explain (i hope i didnt miss it in the long video) why you decided to choose the pull method into the case? Wouldnt it be more effective to PUSH the warm air out of the top? Also the AIO wires wouldnt cover the rgb RAM :/
Thanks pal 👍there is a video coming this week as I got 3 more ql120s and I replace the ml120s on rad and show you it side mounted and top mounted make sure to get subbed 👍thanks 4 the support
Hey mate played PUBG with you yesterday, Good work! Loved the video :)
Hi @Goofy plays - Nice to meet you yesterday thanks for your support
Very nice video and was interesting to see in depth more of the case. I say this as I just finished purchasing all the components I wanted/needed for the build. I am however glad I went, a bit pricey, the UNIFAN route, making so that 4 fans require 1 cable. Ordered 13 of those, so I could at the top push/pull config the new Ryjuin 360 AIO on my new 5950X cpu. Another reason this case called to me was its size, the Formula Maximus Crossfire X570 MB paired with the 3090 Strix is beefy to say the least. Was also happy to see plenty of room behind for the Hi1000 Watt psu from corsair coming in. I did get some cablemod cables for that piece though, and the vertical gpu mount for the case too. This case was out of many I looked at, the best fit for everything I needed to ensure enough room was available for my new components coming in. Going with a black/white theme, the rbg on the fans and the Memory, which is the G.Skill Neo 8x4 32 gig, will be all white and sound reactive, highlighting hopefully the components inside with a soft glow. Thank you again was very informative video!
Wow you have some amazing parts there. Yeah I wanted this case for future upgrades and the amount of room Is truly amazing. With enough fans the airflow is great and temps are practical also which is also great. Thanks for sharing your opinion and I really appreciate you watching. I hope the build turns out amazing, I would be intrested to see what it looks like when done.
@@TechCheckUK Once all the parts are in and I can get them installed, I will be taking pictures. I'll make sure to shoot you a link on here. Think everything should arrive within the next week or two.

Amazing
Thanks really appreciate 🍻
Would you consider doing a full custom loop with this build? With this case it's just the perfect opportunity and you could try and get some extra performance with the slightly improved thermals too. Also what temps do the CPU and GPU run at under idle and loads and how does the rig perform in gaming and stress tests? Cheers for the good video!
@Samuel Peter yeah its something I'd be willing to do no probs. Cpu 40 idle and max under load 77c gpu 41c and max 67c so I'm pretty happy with these tbh I really appreciate your support thank u 🙏
With your previous Fan testing, why did you go with this AIO set up? Wasn't it better to have top mounted as exhaust for both GPU/CPU idle temps/benchmarking test?
I currently have the same AIO set up but thinking of changing to top mount instead!
@Allen yes u are 100% correct see next vid

highly appreciate this video, helped me significantly with my first pc build was also curious if its possible to store steam games on a external hdd instead of using an internal hdd sounds silly im just used to doing it on console, if in the case it may be an issue I can always add a internal hdd in the future i mainly removed the drive bays to give myself as much as room as possible, but probably made the wrong decision and should've kept one in, regardless thank you for informative video.
@Woolzya yes you can mate i would personally do it with a m.2 and a type c connection 10gbps then so no issues at all but you can also do it with 2.5inch SSD also. Im so glad it helped you and i appreciate ya taking the time to support the channel - Thank you

I wondered if the mobo will support an m.2 to PCIe card as I want to add a third or more nvme ssd drives if I can. I have already filled both the m.2 slots with gen 4 drives and wanted a gen 3 nvme’s for video editing rather than going for a sata ssd?
@Stuart Douglas Thanks 4 the support lools like u will have a noce build. Yeah you can use the 8x pcie slot no problem 😊
@@TechCheckUK, thanks I thought that was the case 👍
Where did you get that large anti-static mat?
Mine is a ROG one but the best are the GN ones mate
@@TechCheckUK Thanks for the info. Much appreciated
Nice ! I want to know if the position of your fans are good for the temperature? I have same case and would like to know if I should place my fans same as you did , thanks in advance .
Hi Mate i get fantastic temps (Im really pleased with the performance) 6 intake and 4 exhaust
@@TechCheckUK how can I send you pics of my configuration?

Nice Video helps me very much i want to build next year when it is hopefully easier to get the parts my new Pc in this case but one question can u controll the front RGB (from the Case) with any Software or only the Buttons ?
@Ure2bad4me front lights can sync with icue if u cycle through light options using the button :) glad u like the vid filming another build but Intel tonight. What parts you wanting to use? regards gareth
@@TechCheckUK Thanks for the quick answer :) I think i will use the Ryzen 9 9500 on the ASUS PRIME X570-Pro or the ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming im not sure because the Prime match better to the rest because it is white too (i try to use the most parts in white my room is in a white look too) but i dont know which one is better. For cooling i try to get the Asus Rog Strix LC 360 RGB White Edition and the same Corsair Fan's like u or Fan's from Lian Li . A ROG STRIX RTX 3080 10G White or a Gigabyte RTX 3080 VISION OC 10G i will pick the one which i can get earlier both look awesome. A Seasonic Power suply with 850 and white Corsair Ram (4x8Gb) a Samsung 500mb ssd for the boot drive and a 6tb Hdd and a 2tb ssd for games.
@@KannNetZocken that sounds great mate good luck and make sure to share some photos of it once completed :)
@@TechCheckUK i will and thanks :)
Thank you for this video, had most of the same parts in mind for my build. Just have to wait for GPU's to calm down in being sold out all the time. *Wish we could be allowed to place an order and be notified of the restock, and then ask when to ship* I mean I got a temporary GPU from an older PC *GT 710*. which while it won't be able to run most modern games... It should atleast be able to allow me to install the initial software and updates. Also got to decide on the M.2 I will install, maybe the Samsung 970 or 980 no idea at the moment.
I was curious about the AIO and Lightning Nodes with the commander pro, nice to know this video answered my question.
Though I am wondering what specifically you used to affix the lightning node and commander pro to the case.
As well as things you used for cable management, well aside from velcro straps and zipties.
Thanks mate I really do appreciate the comment and view 👍the gpu will be fine I see an end to this mining debacle soon hopefully. I only used 3m tape to stick the lighting node and commander pro to the case. Good luck and thank you 4 the support. Regards tech check
@@TechCheckUK Yeah hope you are right about the GPU debacle, especially since now my main PC has been getting crashes involving the gpu I currently have in it. *it's 8 years already*
Hopefully without any limitations for gaming, since I could care less about coin mining.
@@electrobob992 we are already starting to see crypto profitability reduce and Lhr cards set to release soon we will be fine pal 👍
38:48 I was wiring up my cables and I was like what’s this extra cable and see that I also have not got enough USB 3.0 headers like yourself 😅
Lol I know right £350 quid mobo and only 1 x usb 3 header 🤣 I never use the other tbh
Have you thought of top mounting your radiator? You can hide more of your top mb cables with the radiator fans. And put your matching fans on display on the side for a more uniform look. Great vid! Watching your vid makes me wanna take a dremel tool to cut a hole to route the bottom audio/case mb connections for better cable management.
Thanks i will deffo take a look I appreciate ya time 😊
@@TechCheckUK did you ever end up trying the top mount? I'm building a similar rig and the h150i manual recommends it, just curious if there is a noticeable performance difference.
@@HadleyLevat hi pal yeah I tried and it was a negligible difference tbh and because I want to do push pull when 3 more ql120s eventually come instock it will look loads better. Good luck with ya build pal get subscribed to stay up to date loads of new stuff coming 👍
@@TechCheckUK thanks for the quick reply boss! This video has been invaluable for me, subbed for sure look forward to future content.
@@HadleyLevat i really appreciate that thank you
Would top, side and Bottom intake make a difference?
Pushing all the hot air trough the back? With the fan there as exhaust?
Hi Andy it would deffo create more positive pressure for sure. Temps are funny too much here or too less there and can be all over its a fine balance.
Did you keep the aio on the side? I've seen videos that say the AIO is best on top? Any complaints with this fan setup?
New video tomorrow showing exactly this mate thank u for the sub really appreciate it 👍
Bout to build one of these myself won the shuffle today. Got a 3080 cpming
Congrats mate 👍 u decided what other parts you will be using?
