Excellent review, this was very pro made and better than those hot shot you tube stars with millions subscribers, you got a new subscriber, cheers take care
I wasn't expecting that but thank you a lot buddy 🙏❤️
Glad you liked the video and enjoy your stay 😀
Think I've watched every review on this case on YT, or at least a ton of them, since I'm getting this case and you're the first one I've seen that ACTUALLY showed the side intake dust filters and not just mentioned them. Thank you, I just wanted to see them in a video lol.
Glad I helped man 😄 You won't regret getting this case it's amazing 🤘
Nice video, answered a lot of questions!
such a good breakdown! lian li are crazy good when it comes to revisions and flexibility. got a galahad ii recently, it's the best aio i've had in a while. still loving my evo but this will probably be my next case as i used to have the o11d xl and loved the extra space.
It's all about the extra space now, especially with new components and sizes that are getting out of control. Still would have liked just as bit more wider case, to fit 140mm fan in the back, and that much space for the GPU as well 👌
Lovely Case. Feel like Lian Li is one of the few companies that ACTUALLY listens and implements users feedback.
This is the key to success, at least the way I see it 👍
That’s debatable.
still no infinitey reverse 3 pack or infinity reverse 140mms…
Good luck finding it at this price, in white or black. Just found a good deal on one on Amazon yesterday, which was the cheapest I've seen. Was still $260. It's $300+ everywhere else.
I'm impressed by how much this case can be customized, even small things like air gapping next to the fans.
The only downsides for this case are minor, at least for me:
1. The bottom dust cover is not removal from the front (still better than only removable from the back);
2. If you mount the GPU the traditional way, and want to remove it for whatever reason, you need to move the case to have access to the back of the case to remove the screw holding the GPU.
Versatile for sure with good upgrades in regard to the regular model 👍
Buuuut 🤣 in it's defence, semi-defence:
1. It's side removable, better than from the back but would have been better if it was from the front, totally agree on that 🙌 soooo much easier...
2. Mmmmm yes and no, and no and yes 🤣 You do not need to screw the doors behind, as they are held by magnets in place and that is totally enough to hold the GPU, on the other note they are thumbscrews so if you screwed them in, easily removable by hand without moving the case.
3. Bonus: If you mount it sideways, the GPU, and want to swap it quickly, yeah good luck 🤣 See that normal mount was a good option then 🤪 even with 2.
Also appreciate the feedback a lot, you seem to point all the correct things that would bother a fellow techie and this is what this community we have here is all about, helping fellow techies 🙌
Thank you kind sir 🫡
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! I've been trying to decide between this and the HYTE Y60, and this video just sold me on the Lian Li case. This video answered every single question I had, and then some. THANK YHOU!
Thank you man 🙏 I am trying to cover as much as I can about every product that I review, thank you once again for the kind words 😊
question that might be dumb but ikm new to pc building
how do i use ports on that mount are the hdmi ports accessible in that position?
Assuming you somehow is able to print a 2.5 to 3.5 inch holder in the middle column to host 3x additional 3.5hdd. Will the thickness of the 3.5 foul the middle column cover when you close it?
can u pls do a verticle mount guide with this case or point me to one. All other guides r with 011D Evo normal that use screws for the gpu side cover brackets. The 011D Evo xl use non-screw latches so i cant for the life if me figure out how to secure the mount since theres no screws to secure it with.
Ty for review ,I was wondering what is the riser your using
Lian Li's own upright GPu mounting kit with their 90cm long cable
Do you think it would be feasible to fit a 4070 and a 4080 in this case with air cooling? I was thinking about putting one upright and one vertically, but I'm worried about the space and airflow.
And like you predicted they have mesh kit for front panel which I will probably get if case fits my needs.
Perfect video and great guide for the case i love it!!! I wanted to know if i mount the GPU on the right of the motherboard and put 3 extra fans behind the GPU is better to Push air to the GPU or pull air from the GPU?
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
Regarding the GPU in that way and actually any other way I would recommend to check @ChristopherFlannigan as he did a video on best possible fan placement, GPU placement and such 👍 czcams.com/video/SqozuPWzUII/video.html
Thank you very much this will help me a lot
hello nice video, what is your PCI extension cable? dimensions? Thank you!
So vertical mounting GPU had better temperatures? Hmm does GPU push air out mounting that orientation on video did you test later? I mean there is a backplate on almost all GPU's with some air going through heatsink.
Good review Vlad.Although l own 2 Lian Li pc builds,l have to say l am not enthusiastic about this case 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Colin, and I agree with you, this is a very specific case, to be honest I was skeptical too but coming from Lancool III in to this one, I must say that I have lot more air and my PC is much more quiet now, I transferred my build in it, not this one on the video since Lancool III was still behind on my desk. I will publish that build soon, more room, much cooler components, everything is nicely visible, idk I kind of like it and finally it was time to change from Lancool III, although still remains my top case 😉
Btw, in 3-4 days another banger case review is coming and trust me that one is epic on so many levels 👍
nice videos I wanted this box and I'm thinking of taking it.. question what brand and model for the risen gpu cable
Lian Li extension cable, 90 cm long
Very interesting case, some unique features, offering additional dlcs. potential Coty aka Case of the year :D
COTY 😂😂😁😁 Nice one, we shall see, in the next video there is a pretty dope contender for COTY title 😉
Where can I buy a riser this long or where can I buy such an assembly kit?
well work Broo ... I think this type of cases adopted for water cooling build, for me I prefer the original evo. it is convenient and everything is in the right place. that why i don't align with XL version it's drive me crazy.
The white color is amazing, but l like the black one it gives a luxury of touch
thanks for your great review ... keep it up 👍
I think completely different, for me EVO original was too small, no place to put cables and hide everything the way I like it 😁
And thanks of course 🙏
Can you also removed the front column from the original? or that option is only for the xl?
is the airflow good enough for a non watercooled 4090/threadripper 64core build? 🙂
🎉amazing Video😮thank you for the awesome Quality . I own the the 011 XL..but this is really great Upgrade. I like the Dlcs😂i mean upgrades coming.
The Price is little too high i think. Ps: wenn du Eintrittskarten verkaufst...ich komm gerne rum um es mal zu bestauen
Glad you like it dude! Thanks for the kind words also, regarding the upgrade, from the regular one it is quite the upgrade as I own that one too, and it has too little space, this one is complete opposite of that, my main rig is in it now, different build coming soon on the channel. Managed to pack everything in without any issues 😉
Regarding tickets heheheh interesting option 😂😂😂 (ps. I understand German but I do not speak it that fluently, long story...)
It's a shame they didn't make the PSU and drive cages modular to be moved around for better options. No 480 rad support either. :(
I’m looking for a mesh kit for O11 Dynamic XL.
Me podrias regalar el link del soporte ?,Estoy pensando comprar este case y me gustaria montar de esta manera la Gpu para que quede visible la tarjeta de audio y la capturadora .
I was wondering the Lan Li 011 EVO XL, How Heavy is it in pounds?
you could make a video to show us how you mount the motherboard and the gpu as you do in this case. I am French and I plan to take this box thank you 🙏
There will be another build in it, but I think I do have a build time lapse video in it, so you can see how I did it...Check on the channel 😀
@@LevelUPGamingTechthank 😊
Esta en todo carajo
Great video! I'm considering using two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPUs in a horizontal configuration with air cooling. With the motherboard positioned at the top, I believe this setup could optimize airflow and heat dissipation for both GPUs. Any advice or insights on this configuration would be greatly appreciated. Thank yo
Sure you can as there is plenty of space that way and airflow will not be any problem at all 👌
@@LevelUPGamingTech thank you so much
you need the neo g9 57
Where can I get the mounting bracket you used for the video card, and does it come with the necessary cable to connect to the PCI-E slot??
Newegg or Amazon, it comes with the upright bracket, I mean the cable
the cable alone is 130 euro its a very long one😆
When you mount the GPU vertically, where is the dport to plug in your monitor(s) located?
Upside, you route cables through a hole on the back of the case, you can see the cable on top of the GPU in the first second of the video 👍
@@LevelUPGamingTech Thanks, yes, that was more to the point of my question, what does the back panel look like? i.e. Where are the GPU's port interface moved to?
It is not moved anywhere it stays on the GPU, you just route cables through the case to the GPU, whole HDMI or DP cable goes through the back hole on the case directly to the GPU. I agree that a solution to have the panel at the back, like a passthroughs from the GPU to the panel would have been a better option, but it would also be more expensive one to make...
Хороший обзор, лучше бы они сделали еще глухие стенки, а спереди панель для вентиляторов и пылевую сетку
How long was the raiser used in the assembly?
Same question here.😢
i feel that 120 on back is such a oversight which killed it for me... so i have to use one single stupid different fan with extra curve and optic... soo im sticking on my luxe2.. no big case competitor for that so far
Yup I agree, if you have 140 spaces everywhere, why not at the back to be honest it already has some extra space, it would need like 10mm more to be wider overall, not a biggie, would be perfect...Regarding 120s, at least you can add 2 of them 😂😂😁😁
what are the fans called. i like the rgb on the sides of them!
either UNI FAN SL-INF or UNI FAN SL-INF REVERSE BLADE
Best airflow between
COOLERMASTER H500P mesh
or
LIANLI DYNAMIC Evo
or
EVO XL
PLEASE HELP ME
Which One?
Even though H500P has large front fans, EVO XL Can fit more 140mm fans thus having a better airflow, plus it's a chimney style cooling as well, so it will be a better choice in the end. Regular O11D could be the same or even worse than H500P since it's mostly small and crammed so it might affect cooling potential in the end. Overall XL is the beat choice, aesthetically and with the performance
Can you please help me out? I'm in the process of building a new PC.
I have a Gigabyte 3090ti, which is huge.
Being a freelance 3D artist, I need more cards, so I bought a used Asus 4090 for cheap.
However, I'm wondering if I can fit both cards in the "Dynamic Evo XL" case.
Additionally, in the future, I plan to add a third AIO 4090 card. Will it be possible to accommodate it?
Also, can I close the case without bending the power connector? I can't trust Cablemod's angled cables anymore :D
The issue is that where I live (Eastern Europe), there are very limited choices for large cases,
and I only found the "Dynamic Evo XL" for a good price.
If I order it from the US, I'll have to deal with huge shipping costs.
Thank you in advance! btw, this video was so beautifully made!
Yes you can fit them inside, BUT, you will need angled cables, Cablemod has good bent cables, which are ok, only the adapters are faulty.... Since the case supports motherboard tray movement, you can easily fit 2 cards in there for sure, but 3 might be a challenge, due to their thickness casue they maybe won't fit on the motherboard itself
@@LevelUPGamingTech Thanks for replay man! Is there even larger/wider case than " EVO XL" for an adequate price?
@@3D_TUTS Unfortunately there are no wide cases on the market, the only one that I can think of being enough large and wide for something like a 4090 is the BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 901, monster of a case 😀😀
@@LevelUPGamingTech Haha, that's awesome looking case, but I can't order it.
The shipping costs will hit +1000$
I'll go with "Dynamic Evo XL" and
"be quiet! 12VHPWR 90°" angled cables. I've ordered "be quiet! Dark Power PRO 13 1600W" PSU.
So with 90 degree angled cables I can fit 4090 without any issues, right?
Thanks for the conversation man and have a great day, cheers!
@@3D_TUTS Yup no issues with 90 degree cables, I am using Cablemod 90 degree cables for Seasonic Prime TX-1300 PSU with a 4090 ever since this review came out in the XL case of course, you can notice the case in the background of my videos as it is my main case 😁
What GPU is that? I want to put a 3080ti but want to get an idea for how it would look in this case. Is thar card about the size of one?
Pretty much that is the same size as this one, I even had a Gigabyte 3080Ti which was smaller than this, and this is 3070 😁
@@LevelUPGamingTechAh, I saw it on sale and was really considering buying it but I was too late, maybe it'll come up again soon. I already own the original evo thats in box but I want to mod it which seemed to be about as much as buying this lol. Something about the case in some builds just seems to not look as good as the original EVO to me but I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it is some builds I see not hiding wires, maybe it's 120 fans and things feeling dwarfed. The case seems to be one of the best engineered cases I've ever seen though.
@@LevelUPGamingTechMy card is actually the EVGA RTX 3080TI FTW3 btw. This will be my first build as well lol
does 60cm riser enough to upright mount the gpu?
Should be enough, I used the 90cm and still has plenty of spare left, but maybe for better organization of cables and bends needed for upright, research this better as I do not have 60cm riser to check only the 90cm and shorter ones for the classic vertical mount.
where did you get that 24pin cable ? 🤩
Lian Li Strimer Plus v2
are you sure !!?@@LevelUPGamingTech
Hahaha sorry this is a Cablemod custom cable mixed it up, cause I have Strimer now in this case 🤣 But yeah those are Cablemod custom made ones in that build 🤘
What riser did you use for this case and gpu?
Lian Li Upright GPU kit and 90cm cable also from them
@@LevelUPGamingTech Wow, its $100?!! I was not expecting it to be that expensive. Do you think a 600mm riser would work still or does it have to be that large?
It's enough but might me insufficient if you need to route it in a specific way
i cant seem to find a gen5 riser cable is that a gen 5 for 4?
It's a Gen4 cable
@@LevelUPGamingTechits a 600mm or a 900mm?
900mm
180mm fan yay
Hopefully they will release the front mesh kit soon, for now it is not available, but judging by the holes and positions, 120-140-160 (from Lancool 216) and also 180mm are possible, 2x 180mm would be awesome for cooling, not so for visuals... but vertical GPU mounting would benefit from that mostly
Is it bigger from Lian li 011 dynamic xl?
yes i've measured it now on mine, it's most bigger in depth but still not too much
Is it not for air cooling?
Can be used for air cooling too, plenty of airflow 👌
But how's the noise?
Which noise? 😉 I ain't hearing it 😁
How heavy is it? I can't find anything concerning the weight.
Lighter than the regular model since aluminum was used a lot, but yeah no info on that anywhere 😕
@@LevelUPGamingTech If you still have it, can you please put it on a scale?
I do it's my main case now, my PC is in it, hmmm scale, let's say when all is in there, back hurts, but not due to the case itself, I installed bunch of stuff in it 😂
@@LevelUPGamingTech Alright, thanks for the review. 👍🏻
@@albedo9127 Thank you for watching, and if it was empty I would scale it, but this way hard to say honestly 😉😉
How many hdd hard drives can I fit?
4 x 3.5 or 4 x 2.5, or mix of those...
@@LevelUPGamingTech Right. Thanks brah!!!
4 hdds and I'll just glue my ssds somewhere to the wall.
@@MWcrazyhorseThis is for the hdd cages, you can put SSDs on that middle bracket, 3-4 of them, I showed this as well 👍
@@LevelUPGamingTech Right, where the fans would go otherwise.
Isn't there a DLC for more hard drive cages for the case? I'd like to stack half a dozen or more hard drives inside the "show room" aswell.
Is that possible?
I'm looking more to have a nice case for a NAS type system.
I don't need 9 RGB fans and water coolers.
Does Li have a DLC for me?
@@MWcrazyhorse Not where the fans go, on that little door that says Lian Li & DerBauer on that... No DLC cages for you, nor hdd mounting on rails where the fans go as before, this time it's all about fans and performance of those. I suggest you check my review of BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 901, since you want storage layout, perfect case for that with similar config as LianLI
How many 3,5 drives can i put in?
4 in total, 2 at each hdd cage, so 2 x 2 👍👍
@@LevelUPGamingTech thanks for answering. In the older Lian Li O11D EVO i found the Information that i can put 6 3,5 drives, is that right?
@@janw1982Yes you could use rails on the side and on the bottom where fans go, not anymore... In fact 3.5 inch drives are getting replaced by NVME drives a lot, you need to take that in to account as well
@@LevelUPGamingTech i am a videomaker for 4k Material and i need a lot of hard drive space. So the mechanical big drives are still necessary for me. Maybe i then buy the older one. But if i install 6 drives it van be hard to install water cooling too?
@@janw1982NAS is for you, not a case with lot of 3.5 inch hdd spaces, trust me on this one, I shoot all in 4K even in 6K something, I do use hdds as well, but not in my PC, I like to edit in quiet, not while 10 drives are launching a rocket beside me 😁😁😂😂
How many 120mm fans can this thing hold?
10, 3 side, 3 top, 3 bottom, 1 rear
@@LevelUPGamingTech 2 rear 120mm if you have motherboard low mode setting.
В Lian Li O11D EVO от пыли даже не посатвили сетки((
I know that you’re much younger than me but your statement on the “Lian Li started the dual chamber “ thing is not true. There used to be a brand called Mountain Mods that made dual chamber cases decades ago. THAT is when dual chamber became mainstream.
Honestly I am in this "PC stuff" from my 6th year, 39 yrs old now, never heard about Mountain Mods up until now. Maybe they did invent it, but again haven't heard of it. If they did, well kudos to them, anyhow Lian Li "popularized" it, let's say it like that 😉
I don’t think you understand what “mainstream” means . O11d is what made dual chamber mainstream.
ill take the hyte y40
Your loss….
Y40 is a good looking case but poorly designed airflow especially for the GPU, Y60 is a much better choice, even with GPU sitting closer to the glass. I covered this in both reviews for Y40 and Y60.
