Whilst everyone else is focusing on the buses down at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, I thought I'd take a look at what the Stagecoach divisions have drafted in to cover the missing buses...in the case of Teesside this been a lot of ALX300s! In this video we explore Middlesbrough by ALX300, looking at the vehicles on loan, why they are there and what is significant about their return.

I was the person on the 17 hahaha, I believe I've talked to you briefly before at the bus station a while back. Excellent video showcasing some of the gems in Teesside, great to see some light shown on my local depot!
The 14.220's where i live could do over 60mph but snapped fanbelts every week on long distance routes so they were restricted to town routes so they could be easily recovered. They were E Lancs Myllenium bodied ones and long gone now.
Great video, AMC! I'm in Newcastle and those ALX300s were the best buses we had in the Toon! That bus used to do the X82 Eldon Square - Throckley in Newcastle 👍

Around this time I was riding around on an 04 plate Transbus E300 27598! Now withdrawn but we still have 27599 in Fife and 27600 at Arbroath both MX57’s
Nice old Alx 300s red rose travel in Aylesbury still have Y359LCK Elc Spryte. Surprisingly in service!

Where I live in Middlesbrough, stagecoach North East doesn't always use their newer buses. Although they do have a bunch of MMCs and new buses, we usually get the Dennis Darts and the MAN 10.8s, Stagecoach Doesn't use their Double Decker services throughout Middlesbrough and mainly in Sunderland now.
I had this yesterday painfully slow from Scarborough on the hills
Stagecoach Perth still have quite a few E300s still in use mostly on the 7 and st Andrews also have some as well which are now appearing on the 99 St. Andrews to Dundee route due to the 200mmc being away in Birmingham and Dundee local 73 is normally ADL E400mmc fitted with Volvo hybrid engines and their all away in Birmingham as well so due to that Arbroath depot mostly using 57 plate e400s on the 73 at the moment and fife has seen the return of Rennie’s ALX400 tridents due the E400mmc Fromm arberhill/Glenrothes/Dunfermline depot all being away in Dunfermline still some E200mmc kicking about but mostly older buses in fife until the newer buses return
I really miss those buses because our alx300 buses have been withdrawn from service in 2017.
22016 was scrapped, only 22018 22024 and 22026 remain in service out of the 03 plates.
Apparently an Irwell Line vehicle is now in Keighley Bus Company livery.
22444 is now based at Slatyford Depot for now until Withdrawal i guess.
Yep there is a lot of missing buses because of issues so these are temporary until the missing buses return to use.

If you like tridents, you should come down to the west midlands. NXWM have loads of them. We also have 3 streetlite WFs which are quite rare in the UK now and loads of voith B7RLEs, and Im gonna guess you haven't been on many voith.

Is nobody going to talk about the fact the bus at 3:11 has the old livery but the new logo?
That recieved a fresh repaint of full beachball, with the age specifically there's no point repainting the 03/54 plate transbus alx 300s as a lot of them have been withdrawn/are in the process of being withdrawn. So they decided to just do another coat of full beachball and stick new logos on it.
@@robinsbusvideos Ah, I see, we don't have any ALX 300's here in Exeter Devon. All Stagecoach Exeter have are just Optare Solo SR's, 2 WA04 reg Optare Solo's (WA04 TXU and TXF), E200 MMC's, a few YX63 reg E200's (YX63 LHN, LHO, and ZWA are all in the new livery), not that many E200's since most of them have been moved to Torquay/Torbay due to a shortage of Dennis Darts and MAN E300's, 3 MX06 reg E400's and 3 MX56 reg E400's, 2 KN04 reg E400's, Scania E400's, and E400 MMC's. I miss how Exeter used to have lots of E200's, Optare Solos, Dennis Darts, E400's, and ALX 400's.
22445 went for scrap a couple of months ago, although 22435 has just gone for scrap this week

Until recently greenslades had an Ex-First BofS transbus enviro 300
Alx 300's along with the transbus enviro 300's are very good buses
