I Got a 1530 on the SAT Without Studying, and You Can Too. How I Got A 1530 on the SAT Without Studying (Part 2). I got a good score on the SAT (1500+) without even studying for the SAT exam. I had already taken the ACT so I didn't think I needed to take another standardized test by CollegeBoard. But I took the SAT School Day with Essay and I ended up scoring pretty well. These are some SAT prep tips that I have, SAT advice, SAT tips, SAT help to help you get a good score on your SAT test. SAT without studying. Good SAT score.

1. Figures are usually to scale (eyeball it)
2. If your answer isn’t an option, don’t pick the one closest to your answer
3. A lot of the questions in the calculator section don’t need a calculator (save time)

Ok so I don’t know about other states but in Georgia, one of the things you have to do to get the Zell Miller scholarship is to score a 1200 on the SAT. What Zell Miller does is that it pays for college tuition but some private schools won’t take it but most colleges in Georgia will.

@@yashvipatel7521 I got an 1190. I was so angry that I had to take it again just because I was off by 10 points. I am taking it again tomorrow and I am really confident because on all my practice tests I have been getting 1280s and 1260s. Just make sure not to run out of time on the reading and writing sections.
Another thing guys, if you are studying for the SAT, it's more about PRACTICE than staying the material. That way you learn what YOU need to work on or learn. Kahn Academy is great for practicing too, but those SAT Prep. books are totally worth it.

Don’t pick closest numerical number
Don’t waste time using Calc if not needed
Trust your first instinct (reading)
Read through all answers
Eliminate answers
For me, it helped to give questions a 30 second-ish about of time, and if you can't solve it by then, move on and come back. And also a stupid test doesn't rep your self worth. It's necessary, yes, so try your best, but don't let it connect to you self-image. And good luck guys.
I got a 1070 on the SAT and I’m retaking it tomorrow! I’m excited and nervous but I’m hoping to just get a better score hopefully a 1200! I believe in myself :)

I was told that my 1270 score on the psat wasn’t good enough.

@@jd.customs anything north of 1400 is good enough for mid tier colleges. I was able to make do with that so if you just get above that you'll be fine
My english teacher just told us that my class of 2022 is the last class to do the essay, they will be taking it off the SAT next next year.

Geometric questions are to scale, (eyeball it)
dont't approximate unless stated in the question
don't use a calculator on a question that doesn't require it
nobody cares about the essay; try your best but don't stress
trust your first instinct; don't second guess your self unless you know you made an error
contrary to the last tip, double check your bubble sheet
READ ALL THE ANSWERS, then pick the answer
don't pick what you think is the right answer, just read the choices and pick which one makes the most sense

@@blackflag4387 Just finished taking it too, I don’t think I did too hot on the math section in general but specifically the no calculator section. I’m the most confident about the reading section, and the writing section was kinda “eh.” Overall, don’t think I did too bad for not studying lol! There was so many things about system of equations though…how’d you do?

I don't quite agree with the 1st instinct strategy. In mathematics, there are plenty of situations where instinct can lead you into a wrong answer. The people who really know how people make mistakes in math can set up a trap for you.

@Aboodi Sadiq you definitely can. I started of at 1060 and I am at 1380 on my latest practice test. I'm aiming for a 1500+ , you can get any score you want as long as you put in the effort.

I took the PSAT last year and got a 1030. Im not proud of that at all😂. Therefore, this past summer, I cracked open the PSAT study book (like the very THICK book) and read it.
I got like a 900 on that 💀
