I was alive, and she was my idol. I was just 13 years old when JFK was assassinated, and my father was exactly the same age as JFK. Coincidentally, my name is also Jacqueline - I am known as Jackie. Hence another reason why I thought the lady so wonderful.

Her daughter put back the release date and I bet the next generation put it back again. Some things should stay out of public view. It sat in her mothers attic for years..in a box simply marked Novermber 22, 1963. It is now held in climate controlled area of the museum. It is more delicate as Jackie never allowed it to be cleaned. It is as it was that tragic day. I doubt it will ever be on display
Her style epitomizes how she wore the clothes, not the clothes wearing her. Her clothing was simple, clean lines and colors that accentuated her so well. She is the definition of class and glamour, where less is definitely more.

I like the story of jackie putting a fancy dish towel over her head for mass one time and no one said shit about it...she told her sister lee how funny it was that she got away with it...the story was something about how rose and jack were making her go when she didn't feel like it..that's what a cool sense of humor jackie had.
Mrs Kennedy's clothes were the Haught Culture end of the sixties style, and of course very expensive. Jacky spent enormous amounts of money on clothes and jewellery, reputedly running to hundreds of thousands of $ in the first year of the White House alone.
a lot of the people who colorize the black and white videos and images of JFK's inauguration miscolor her coat and hat as a powder or baby blue, when in reality it was a beige coat with a matching hat paired with a detachable dark brown sabel collar and hand-muff :)
I visited the JFK Museum and Library in Boston two years ago. Jackie’s Chanel dresses were on display they were absolutely amazing. What simple style.

Her name is Jackie Onassis not Kennedy. She change her name after her second marriage. Poor americans don't be jealous. Greeks do it better...
Jack Kennedy also donated his presidential salary. Jackie spent more than he would have earned on clothes every year...all funded by Joe Kennedy.
