In my opinion they should've gotten the publicity polyphia got too. They are more talented and just better players in general. Dont get me wrong Polyphia is my second favorite band but oh well.

Stick with it, you'll get it. just takes time especially if youre not used to this style of play. Also takes time if you're used to playing on a completely distorted tone, with a crunchy tone you have to work for some notes that would have otherwise sounded great if it was full distortion.

@@xanderfilms8820 I get it but at the very least if you're playing clean chon (like petal, If, rosewood etc) using a compressor I wouldn't consider cheap or anything. Pretty sure their rig has a compressor at the very least
erick always has really cool solos. technically impressive with a lot of soul injected. also love mario's skill, he's so technically sound its crazy

@@Blob.fishmusic It literally looks like--from the way this video is color corrected--a black guitar with a black pick-gaurd, what looks to be a roasted maple neck, and gold covered pickups and a gold bridge. It's not just that the pickups are covered. I know it is silver and not gold but to someone who isn't looking to closely, I don't think you can blame them for seeing them to be gold and everything else that I mentioned would really steer someone towards the conclusion they stated. Your comment just seems to be an elitist, snide, unnecessary remark.

@@nunolance23 I mean, User Not Available was also expressing an opinion, like Torn Horizon did. Not sure why Torn Horizon's opinion is ok while User Not Available's is mean. Sure, you can decide to take it as an attack, but you could do the same for Torn Horizon. You can choose to be offended that Torn Horizon has rejected this song (the "sorry" at the beginning indicates a kind of rejection), or you could choose to be offended that User Not Available is making a point about what they like about the performance, that it doesn't feature a lot of stuff you might expect in more mainstream rock/guitar songs.
Or, we could simply see that Torn Horizon and User Not Available disagree about this performance, as well as some general disagreement about what makes music good. They feel differently about it. That's ok. And it's ok that they are expressing such differing views that they have. Different feelings don't need to be interpreted as opposition. We're all still breathing the same air, we can be different from each other while doing so, and so discovering a difference we have need not stop us from living and enjoying our lives, and helping others do the same. If a mere difference of opinion does that, even a strong difference of opinion, I think it's up to the individual to not be too bothered by that, because people have different opinions about just about anything, and the only efficient solution is to not evaluate yourself based on those being the same or different from someone else's, but just take it as an observation, and recognize that there are many things you can't control, what most people think being one of them, but by recognizing what you can control (in this case, how another person's opinion affects you), you can still live life your way, by making your choices shape you, and, by simply finding ways to enjoy it.
I didn't intend my train of thought to get into a more general philosophy about how to live life, but, I guess that's what happened, haha. Oh well. No harm done, I think.
This is of course regarding the opinion itself. If you are attacking a person, you're going beyond just observing a difference. But, User Not Available didn't say anything about Torn Horizon; they made a counterargument to Torn Horizon's position. Clearly, in doing so we see that they like different things, one man's treasure being another's trash, but that's humans being humans, not humans attacking each other. Humans will like and dislike some things :)
I don't like hostility. However, I want to keep myself from seeing hostility when it's not there. It only makes sense to get worried about genuine hostility. I think there is quite a bit of genuine hostility, but there are also many things we mistake for hostility because it involves a mere difference of some kind. We don't like something that breaks the harmony and instinctively want to label it as bad or hostile to our lives.
