Even their hairstyles are synchronized
or lack thereof
They can't have hair, it's a fire hazard with so much shred around.
Lmao
Metal guys and Action Heroes are bald nowadays =)
I laughed too hard at this comment
This has truly inspired me to sell all of my gear and never play again.
Perfect!
😅
Never give up dude 🤘
JAJAJA fuck bro no
LOL
Dean scans the area for challengers. Maybe some voluntary doppelgängers
I don't know why, exactly, but this just got a stupid choke/gasp laugh out of me - thank you for that.
I fucking giggled like a school girl at this.
they need another bald guy to complete the trilogy
@@augustopenaspalmeira471 I laughed so hard at THIS comment man... Then I remembered that their singer is also bald and I laughed even HARDER LOL
He bud, can you breakdown what you're doing with your right hand at around 1:19? Never seen that technique before, very impressive! :)
@@higler. Oh, I'm just checking my knobs and switch because I'm a lunatic. I'm just doing that whole section with legato.
@@DeanLamb It's the best part of the video, easily. I was laughing my ass off!
@@DeanLamb Doodling with your knob in public... :p
Are you grimacing through the video due to pain or is it just your natural expression while performing? Lol love your videos, especially the memes with Claire, keep up the amazing work
Them: Playing 8,000 notes per second, still finds time to flick pickup switch
Me: Playing 8 notes a minute, unable to remember my own name
Hahahaha! 😂🤣
Relatable af
Same 😂
*unable to walk
Bro I get so into playing sometimes I forget what I’m doing a loose track of where I am
The lack of hair makes them more aerodynamic
You're absolutely correct
They look like Budhists Monks meditating on guitars, living in the moment , centered
Just like a dolphin..... bearded and goateed dolphins playing death metal.
Built for S P E E D
You might even say....h-hairodynamic?
" Guys, you're not going to believe this but I forgot to press record "
"But heres the good part. I'm sorry."
(strained whisper-scream)
Dead 😂😂😂
Honestly they'd probably just be like "okay let's go again"
You really think they cant play them again!? :P :D
DEAN ATTEMPTS TO LEARN GANG REPRESENT!!!
Yesssssss thank you!
@@DeanLamb Where TF is CLAIRE!
On the next episode of Dean And Claire Argue...
tehe
Love those videos!
We o u t here
Such a cool video to see
Best part is the die-hard fan in the background feeling every part of the riffs :D
Best part was when the guitar player looked over so he just acted cool for a second lol
Best part was PLAYING! :P
Kinda looks like the bassist of Unleash the Archers tbh
Isn’t it Trevor from tbdh?
@@boiwatcher1247 the black dahlia herder ?
Love archspire. Dean and Tobi are currently some of the best guitarists in terms of technicality and creativity
thanks dude! :)
Damn, here I am, listening to Beyond Creation and Obscura. Then there's these guys
Absolutely! Love Rings of Saturn, Origin and Tosin too. To mention few. Awesome players all.
They are talented for sure, but I wouldnt consider them top tier guitarists.
@@TheCkhutton12 26401 people would disagree
Pinnacle of tech death metal at the moment. Every member of Archspire is incredible.
You've obviously never heard of drowning pool.
@@dungeonmasterblaster5600 or smthing more heavy like lostprophets
Homer Dj0nt wait. I thought we all agreed to never mention that name again?
RedLikeWater 16 years and waiting. Band is dead as him. He isn’t anything without Christian or Hannes apparently. Plus he didn’t give credit to Christian for his leads and contributions? Yeah fuck that guy and while I love Epitaph as an album that guy is arrogant
I just love how Dean plays an 8 string, Tobi a 7. It seems to force them to come up with more creative parts and layers and you never notice that Tobi can't go as low as Dean.
It really just started because I bought an 8 string that was better than my 7. It was a bonus that it had an extra string. Tobi never wanted to switch because he had so many awesome 7's, so we just stuck that way. Keep an eye out for the next album though... ;)
@@DeanLamb Well, it works great for you guys. 6 string bass, 7 string guitar, 8 string guitar. Also, gotta say you guys killed it. Gotta imagine just you two has gotta feel more awkward than you guys playing live as a full band. Only complaint is the person recording seemed to be directly in front of Tobi's speakers and not so much yours, lol.
@@DeanLamb When? Dear god when???
@@DeanLamb Every album so far has been significantly better than the one before it, so it's frightening to imagine you guys topping Relentless Mutilation...errrr, I mean Mutation. ;^) It's perhaps most impressive that Relentless is not only the most technically impressive of the three, but it also has the most memorable songs/riffs. That's what made Necrophagist so awesome to me (I can hum along to just about every song!), and is similarly why Archspire has risen to the top of the heap. Very much looking forward to album #4!
@@metal_ernest i like their first one more than the second.
Second one is almost too much technicality mixed with brutality imo. It's exausting to listen to.
Dean always looks so serious and angry when he plays you'd never expect him to be such a goofball
I'm furious
@@DeanLamb Working through the forearm burn.
Dean's head on a swivel like he's tryna not get caught by someone asking his string gauge
Lol u know ittttttt
Probably looking to see where Claire went off to lol
i got exhausted watching this, big respect to Dean and Tobi.
Thank you!!! :)
It's good to see Dean looking at people now
I do my best ;)
My sentiments exactly! Make me carry the fucking bass stack up that narrow staircase every gig, just don't make me look at people while we play...
6:40 god that tapping is insane! No wrong notes played live... bravo !
Holy effing shit
Dang its like a mathematics 😭
seriously most impressive part. really shows their skills
This is the kind of music that pushes you to keep practicing.
🙏

The guitar books for this album and Bleed the Future are honestly the best workout I've had on guitar in years. Like, if you stick with trying to learn any of these songs, you *will* improve, it's awesome.
Indeed
Dean switchin between pickups so fast while playing is incredible
Hey thanks!
I tried to do the same thing and I think I broke the Switch from the inside lmfao
Does he always switch though? Sometimes it just looks like he's involuntarily (hehe) checking that the knob and the switch are in the right positions by trying to slam them into one (even though they're already there)
dude also talks while playing that stuff on stream. never got my head around that
This was an emotionally exhausting piece of shreddary
Thats an awesome compliment! Thank you!
@@DeanLamb that was meant as complement. Became a fan ;-)
It's crazy to me how much if I ignore all the gain and tonal difference this really reminds me of classical music. In pushing heavy music further and further there's incredible complex works of technical artistry likes this.
We've finally accomplished chamber music you can murder to
Bruh you can go apeshit to in the hall of the mountain King or für Elise, idgaf what u say
A pretty wide chunk of metal is hella influenced by classical music - Muhammed Suicmez might as well have been a baroque-era composer. It would garner a lot more widespread acclaim were it not for the vocals, but, hey, it's not problem if some folks can't dig on it.
xxLumian if you played classical music through a guitar with more distortion, overdrive and gain with some drums behind it, your result would be closer to technical death metal than you’d imagine. Which in my opinion is awesome, kinda links to how when classical music such as lizt and beathoven etc starting coming round, people referred to it as “the devils music” and now metal has taken its place as “the devils music”
The band is hugely influenced by classical music, yeah. While we were writing this album, a few of us were listening to lots of Mozart and other romantic era concert music. My personal favorite composers are Bach, Mozart, Ravel and Debussy.
Dean Lamb That’s awesome! It’s crazy to see how all music links, and it just goes to show how big the possibilities are when it comes to music. I saw you guys on your last tour, and I have to say definitely the best band I’ve seen live, I’ll defo be seeing you again! Thankyou for producing the artwork you do!
I wish Jared was playing these with them, that dude is nuts
Nah, he's just chilling in the back
"What notes are in this song?"
Dean and Tobi: "All of them"
👌
YES
Lies, they used all of them and THEN INVENTED NEW ONES
… TWICE! … per bar! :D
The synchrony is incredible. What a difficult playing, great technique
Thanks!
Holy shit 👍 they play so well together. They’re like a government cloning experiment 🤘
Fucking Canada...
Hahahah thanks! We don't even hear eachother when we play, we just listen to tracks, a metronome and our own signal. Thanks for watching!
I love their overall musical chemistry. They both compliment each other's parts so well.
They are involuntarily doppleganging each other
@@DeanLamb waynament, dats something a clone would say🤔
GOD Archspire deserves much more than they get

I love how Jared can't help himself playing air bass in the background even when interacting with people. Archspire is definitely one of my favorite bands for sure!
Poor Jared

08:00 Remote Tumour Seeker
Bara rabi yehdik thank you
I was today years old when I first discovered these guys.
wow. best day of your life, isn't it? 😂
I definitely listen to more deathcore than tech metal, but my childhood best friend turned me on to them a couple days after "Relentless Mutation" dropped. So thankful...
2:08 I love Dean for his expressiveness, while Tobi is like a machine. Highly talented dudes, fantastic works, phenomenal project.
Thanks!
Human Murmuration is still one of the sickest songs. The intro creates this insane atmosphere I can't escape.
Thanks!
In order to become god-level, Saitama-sama has trained so hard until he went bald. Guess who else has trained so hard as well?
Jared Smith must be using a wig then, or he’s an alien..
I feel that blonde dude in the back left. That was tight.
Thanks!
Is that Mickey from American Chopper?
Well, that melted my face.
Oh no! I hope you're ok!!!!
Dean Lamb thanks! I’ll be ok but it was worth it 😍
The noise gate is strong with these two masters.
Indeed.
Starting at about 3:02, anyone else notice how frequently Dean checks his pickup selector and volume & tone knobs? It's wild! I wonder if his signature Kiesel guitar was built to address this.
I'm an old school metal dude, but Archspire sounds amazing to my death metal battered ears!!! And they are killing it live too!!! Hats off!
Thanks! If we wore hats they'd cover our shiny bald heads!
Dean Lamb has a CZcams channel where he and his wife (Claire Lamb of The Hallowed Catharsis) learn riffs from other bands.
This is a true statement
Bar none the absolute worst channel to ever curse this website I definitely don’t watch it and I for sure wouldn’t encourage anyone else to

Oh I guarantee we have, but we play so fast that you forget immediately! :) Thanks for watching!
Dapper deannnnn!!!!! \m/
EVERY band messes up live so that’s not true especially playing technical music like this. Also, great video guys! I can’t wait for the new album!!!
Playing their set live with absolutely no mistakes is like pitching a perfect game in baseball. It happens but not every night. you know thats what they strive for
I've seen them 8x and on point every single time!
Dean lamb is such an interesting character. His music is heavy and hardcore but the entire time he looks SO nice and happy playing it hahaha
😡
You guys are such an inspiration as to what you can achieve in technical death metal. The level of class that you exude in all of your songwriting is palpable and I just can't get enough of your material. I can't wait to hear what the next album sounds like and Dean I love watching your channel!
Thanks Joe! :)
Wow, I totally forgot about the food i was eating and it went cold as i watched this performance in awe :o totally worth it!

That wave should be incorporated into the shows from now on
I'll try next time 👋👋👋
Glad to see one dude actually enjoying this.
Whys dean look like he's trying to see if his parents have arrived and trying to see if there in the crowed
lol
Dean is such an amazing musician. Love his learn videos!
Thanks Jim!
Jeeeeeeezus. I am blown away. Every portion of this...melody, emotion, brutality, technicality...simply amazing!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
No lie.. I was staring at the woman half the time
But it’s so badass to see them play these side by side.. one of my favorite bands and it still blows my mind when I hear it let alone watch it being played
I know it's far from the most difficult thing they're playing, but I'm still consistently blown away by just how clean Dean does that crazy fast sweep near the beginning of Doppelganger. Unreal.
Вы монстры ребята, низкий поклон как и строй ваших гитар... 💪

Love Archspire, and also love how chill these guys are, not just while performing, but in person. Got to meet them a few years back when they did a local show, just all round great bunch of guys.
After the whole "fake guitar" debacle on CZcams this brings tears of joy to my eyes! ❤️ Archspire
Hahaha yes this is very real. Glad you enjoyed!
@@DeanLamb After seeing you guys live last December in the Netherlands and watching your Dean Attempts videos, there is no doubt in my mind. You're awesome!

This is beyond awesome, so precise, tight and creative ! I never seen people switch pickups so fast and deans hybrid picking is flawless...

What's sad (?) is I almost always play like that. I dunno, I like being grounded.... or maybe it just helps with the fuzz from my Orange.
These dudes would be the most effective tandum kayaking duo the world has ever seen
This is legitimately awe inspiring to watch. Great stuff.
Archspire!! The gods
Thank you!!! :)
Dean Lamb I listen to you guys every single day, you don't know what it means for you have left a message. I am so happy to death...
I am so happy to technical death lol.
The level of articulation that these guys achieve is insane. Tech death at such a high level.

These guys are bonkers and play incredibly tight. I love it all.
It’s funny to watch Tobi constantly tweaking the volume knobs. I also do it non-stop even though I’ve just checked it 😂
nothing will ever top Dean @ 1:19.. like wtf he is having a mini panic attack over his knobs and switch. Dean's the man!

Also Dean, lovin the Dean Attempts content my man keep up the great work!
Dean's pickup-selector-switch-game is next-level

This is a great performance! No guitar fakery here!
No guitar fakery is correct, except that we're playing through amps running in my laptop. Some people still don't like that... ;)
Well, looks like the word ridiculous has been redefined.
Kiesel is one of those guitars that I think I'm just not good enough to own one.
I know what you mean, when I see people like dean I feel like I am unworthy of intruments like a kiesel until I reach their level.
The speed, technicality, tone, and the musicality is so fucking nuts with these two, and they definitely deserve more popularity, Dean has a hilarious youtube channel, seems super down to earth and relatable which is somewhat rare in music, people like that, like Matt Pike inspires me to just pick up my guitar and play.
