I think the caller is icky. Do I get to curtail that caller's freedoms now?
Yes
No, don't be silly.
You have to invent a religion first, then you're good to go. I happen to be legally recognized as clergy in the united states and- OMG! Look! A seagull!
Bam! You're a priest now. Nothing you can do about it either (or maybe there is, the law is on meth when it comes to religions, just for example, all of the above is true, except the seagull. I did lie about that.)
100%
Sure.
I vote yes
The only thing Brojo taught me is how aggressively unlikeable he is.
right... LMAO
He's indoctrinated, what do you expect
I bet he's gay and mad that no man will love him 😂
Ain't no hate like christian love.
Religion has completely broken his brain. There's nothing left😢😢😢
His brain is now 💩
He always hated homosexuality. Religion was simply the vehicle that allowed him to justify it.
Gay gen z here, 25 and happily married to the man of my dreams. I do not have aids, neither does he, nor does any gay person I've ever met or am currently friends with. Also the number of HIV infections among gay men in the west has been steadily declining for decades, with a cure literally on the horizon.
Straight GenX here, 54, and I’m grateful you and your partner can live happily together. I’d be your friend way before I’d want to hang out with Brother Brojo.
@@A-WallfromALthat would be husband, partner is so vague, what if i think you meant partner at work? Now if you say husband as the legal contract literally says husband lmfao it wouldnt and couldnt be misinterpreted lmfao rofl say what you mean, and mean what you say..... Or dont and be misinterpreted
@@themanwithnoname1839 I used a generic term because the OP did not use a specific term, mkay? Not everyone uses the traditional “husband” or “wife.” And I think from the context I was obviously referring to the OP’s spouse. If he prefers I use “husband,” fine. This was not an attempt to downgrade the legitimacy of his marriage.
@@themanwithnoname1839 If you are confused, you can ask, or you can infer based on the context of their comment. Saying "...I’m grateful you and your partner can *live happily together* " implies living together. Sure you can have roommates or friends who live together, but it's rare you'd refer to them as a partner. "Partner" is just a partner, partner ;)
Victimless behaviour between two consenting adults is no ones business but their own. indoctrinating children into a religious ideology that convinces them to judge people based on arbitrary and archaic ideas, is `icky.`

@@LordOfThePancakes I agree! It's one thing to indoctrinate your own children into a depraved religious ideology, but when you try to indoctrinate other people's children, then yeah, that's a problem.
The idea for a homosexual of being with somebody of the opposite sex is icky to them, too.
I'm straight, and if someone forced me to be with another man, I'd feel icky.
Forcing homosexual people to be straight is icky because we're forcing them to be something they're not, which is uncomfortable and icky for them.
That was an amazing way to put it.
@@faelheavymetal That's how I've always thought about it. Thank you for your comment.
And people think that what's icky for them is icky for everyone, and they don't realize that everyone has different thoughts and preferences.
I don't know how many times I've heard Christians say, "they can just marry the opposite sex" .. like you're not getting it .. they don't FALL IN LOVE with the opposite sex, they aren't attracted to the opposite sex .. to ask someone to live with a spouse in a platonic only relationship where both partners are frustrated is a big ask..
@johnathanstevens8436 I've also heard that "being gay is a choice."
Nobody chooses to be gay. Especially back in times when gay people were stoned to death.
But, there's nothing wrong with being gay. It's a completely natural part of some people's identity.
Never got to understand why religious people are so obsessed with sex. It seems to me it all boils down to a problem of resentment towards other people's enjoyment.
I place the blame in the text obviously pushing for ppl to raise kids in the faith, since it’s harder to get someone out of faith the sooner you start them in it, and the early stages of the faith they were taking the over other places, so of course they needed soldiers for that
Some of the earliest mythological beliefs in human history revolved around fertility, so being obsessed with sex and reproduction is something that goes back all the way to the beginning of religion
Sex is very personal. And if religion can control your sexual thoughts and activity, they can control everything else too.
Not even that, their mind just races with sexual thoughts, a reault of a strict upbringing or a self lost somewhere on the road, resulting in believing that anyone can keep on living like them swallowing and burying anything deep in them. So in a sense, is lack of sympathy for one that is not the same as them
I think coffee is "icky" but I don't want to stop anyone else from drinking it.
I dont remember him saying he wanted to stop anyone else from being gay..

If thought crimes were enforced, we'd all be in jail, weirdo 😂😂
Reminded me of the movie Minority Report. 😂
It's amazing how guys like this say shit with such confidence, like they really think they are smart lol
And the irony is their claims and assertions are not their own. They're copied or reread from other toxic bigots. Case in point, "Brojo" is a well known Darth Dawkins sycophant, a person that is the textbook definition of the Dunning Kruger Effect.
@@MooseMaunuAnd with a handle like “Brojo” … am I wrong in my assumptions? Apparently not.

It is if someone's a pedophile and acts on their urges.
No Harm no foul - be free to love who you want. Bigots are not living in the accepted world, I love and recieve love for being lovely.
Excuse my English spelling from being UK English - One Love.
Freedom exists for everyone, whether you like it or not. People are free to love who they want, and people are allowed to think that's gross. This is the biggest problem with the left... opinions and freedom are only permitted if they perfectly align with YOUR ideologies. That's not freedom. That's tyranny.
I generally agree with you, but lately colleges have been cranking out some pretty nutso teachers who are imposing their very far left agendas and ideologies onto children, discussing seggsual topics that they have no business talking to kids about. In that case, it becomes our business.
BS! One is entitled to an opinion about anything and should be allowed to express that opinion. Leftism is pretty disgusting when you actually think about it..
I am not now nor have I ever been a homosexual but what other people do, or, rather, who other people do, is no concern of mine.
Unless they do it to you without your permission. I would presume.
Then again, maybe not? Maybe that's what you want? Not for me to say.

I think the vast majority of us have fucked up intrusive thoughts regularly. we just passively dismiss them because we know that acting on them would be harmful to ourselves or others.

@@Rusticrogue17 I would wholeheartedly agree with this
The magic word with sex or even anything that involves other people is "consent".
Consent isn't quite as simple as you seem to think. The line between informed enthusiastic consent and uninformed grudging consent is a blurry one - how many drinks is too many for consent to be valid? - as is the age between adult and minor (which varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction).
@MrChiddler You're correct, but it's the best place to start.
Right wing religious people don't care about consent

Great comment! Truly funny. 😂
They always think they have a new flex.
They're always pathetically wrong.
How so give some examples. Just because somebody desires to do something in society it doesn't mean they have the right to do so. If homosexual sex between two men do too much harm to society how can it be morally justified and if it can't be morally justified why should it be legal

I think onions are disgusting so let me get in power and legislate that for everybody else. 🙄
I hate pickles, so everybody should hate pickles too.
I don't have any problems with onions personally, but why can't they just act like apples in public?
If I were president of the world, pickles would be illegal because I don't like them, haha.
@@Thedrunkape96 Don't hate the pickle hate the brine.
Homosexuality shouldn't be illegal simply because people find it repulsive. I find many things repulsive that I don't think should be illegal.
I believe homosexual sex is immoral. I can make an argument from a legal standpoint because homosexual sex does too much harm to society.
If onions offered no nourishment and because people to become severely sick get a virus and it was extremely expensive to the taxpayer to pay for that medicine there's an argument to be made that eating onions shouldn't be legal.
My favorite kind of argument, honestly. 'Homosexuality CAN'T be rationally justified if I just constantly compare it to things that aren't analogous.' The Beastiality and pedophile comparisons are always a clear indicator that the person making the comparison themselves doesn't know *why* they have an issue with gay relationships, only that they intuitively think of them as 'icky'.
Not to mention over 95% of pedophilias are straight men related to the victim.
And they think that somehow "gayness" usually leads to pederasty, or in some formulations, WILL lead to pederasty (under the assumption that gays want to create more gays, so the only way to do that is psychosexually)-scary stuff.
Analogous?
@seekeroftruth6728 woops! Thanks for the correction. Hadn't even noticed the mistake.
Yeah, when they hung up I was kind of wondering whether they could have gotten to the root of why the caller had that position eventually if they had somehow kept digging, but even if that would have worked as a conversation (which I doubt), there probably IS no core, as you say. The only reason why something that has nothing to do with someone affects them so much as to say it gives them the ick, and provokes them to even legislate accordingly, is if in the back of their minds it *does* affect them because they are in an eternal struggle with themselves against it, all the while the shame and resentment causes them to lash out.

Generally agree, and certainly agree that we don’t choose our thoughts, but whether or not you choose to act on them is also a thought. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take issue with the action, and not the thought as you say the action is what causes harm. The absence of free will does not argue for the absence of consequences.
The caller clearly has never thought to question what his Unconscious (see Dual Process Theory) tells him to think to get to their own ends.
The teachings of Jesus made him believe all of this. If looking at a woman with lust = commiting adultery then its no surprise that he thinks thinking about a child with lust means youre commiting child rape. In reality the two can never be the same.

I suspect the caller isn't going to call heterosexuals morally wrong for mostly neing responsible for HIV transmission, however.
I'd like to rob a bank, but I will not act on this. Why is this so difficult? I think it has to do that with many brands of Christianity, the thought of committing "evil things" is just as bad-that verse about desiring my neighbor's spouse and all that.
Ya, I think in one of the gospels, Jesus says something like, “if you lust for your neighbour’s wife, you have already committed the sin”. I’ve always had a problem with thought crime. If that's the caller's opinion, then by all means and with my blessing don't do any homosexual acts. But then you must also afford the same to every.body.else.
Something I learned a LOOONG time ago sitting waiting for my turn in traffic court (where I won, BTW) is that MOST people have no idea what argumentation is, what constitutes a legitimate argument, what constitutes a rebuttal, and in that context what counts as a legal argument. Idiot after idiot showed up to demand their tickets be discharged because they had kids that had to go to school or because they were late for something or their car was malfunctioning etc essentially throwing themselves on the mercy of the court with excuses stemming from their own poor choices. It was utterly pathetic and I watched person after person receive charges and fines. Morons.
The court, and the world at large, doesn't care about your feelings or problems. When I was called, I explained to the judge why the ticket itself was illegitimate because the camera that issued it was placed in a location that is illegal for the state to place it not just according to the official county maps and the maps issued to me directly by the city engineering department but also according to the specific wording in the state revised statutes. Essentially I took the path of showing that every piece of evidence that comes from that camera is void because their video and photos were illegally taken. THIS is a legal argument. Ticket dismissed. I saw multiple people behind me looking at each other for their tickets going "what just happened, should we steal her argument??"
The vast majority of Christians are not even close to equipped to defend their dumb "faith" and there's not going to be a path for them to take to rhetorically or logically justify the bigotries that it requires of them. Most of the time I can't even listen to these people and have to switch to listening to failsons like William Lane Craig get pwned because at least HE understands what argumentation is and watching him get wrecked brings a certain level of satisfaction. From the rest? Expect stupid.
The very least these people could do for themselves is to read legal jurisprudence to get an idea of how argumentation works (or even go to community college to learn basic argumentation and philosophy) but apparently that's too much effort most of the time from losers who don't even read the book they claim is the supposed word of god.
I laugh when they have to pay all their traffic fines and I get to walk. LOL.
They have phones in Arkansas?? Who knew? Lol!

@@jasonbower7763 What if they don't want children?
@@Jafiveon Irrelevant to the point.
The statement is simply true that "straight relationships DO have a rational justification; procreation"
Whether people want children or not is irrelevant.
@@jasonbower7763well then so does homosexuality...happiness.
"Because 2 people want to and nobody is being harmed" is an applicable justification to either situation.
@@zachrichardson5581 True. I agree. Happiness is a rational justification.
I was simply responding to the foolish initial statement about straight relationships.
Where is my man, Holger? We need to talk.

He could move to Afghanistan.
Homosexuality in a Heterosexual species of course cannot be rationally justified, but that does not mean its wrong or immoral.
I think human sexuality is somewhat irrational. People are into lots of different things that don't necessarily make sense. That's okay though.
What do you mean heterosexual species? Humans aren't a heterosexual species per se. That is how the species creates progeny but we are a combination of hetero, homo, pan, asexual, etc. A species must have some form of reproduction to continue into the next generations but as a species we are very diverse sexually and it's possible that it can be beneficial to have non reproducing members of the population that don't need to focus on child rearing or to prevent overpopulation etc. Point being that while heterosexual is the majority of INDIVIDUALS in the species we are not as a COLLECTIVE a heterosexual species.
@@Jafiveon By and large, all species are inherently heterosexual. This is proven in nature by the simple necessity to procreate. That being said - sexual preferences are a very diverse part of psychology and sexuality.
These two statements can be true at the same time - We are primarily a heterosexual species... AND it's totally natural and okay to have other kinds of sexuality within the species.
@@Jafiveon OMG! You have just said that homo sapiens sapiens is not a heterosexual species!
One sex has a penis and one sex has a vagina. The mechanics are, one sex places the penis inside the vagina of the other sex and that is how the species is designed to produce the next generation.
Whatever choices you care to make after that simple biological fact come secondary and are irrelevant to it.
It is a system of reproduction that is over 3 billion years old, the leftists may be a little late to the party.

Right right.

Brojo(b) must not be getting any hits on Grindr and this is his tantrum.
I always found it so odd that thiests care about how others live their lives but then get butthurt when you question the delusions they hold.
Really getting tired of people equating being gay to liking kids. Part of what was so hard about accepting myself was believing I was an actual danger to children and had mentally berated myself at every opportunity into disliking kids just to prove I wasn’t. Saying “I’m so far from being attracted to kids, I hate them and think they’re stupid, gross and terrible.” Which I mean….is not *completely* untrue but that’s beside the point. I’m a queerio cheerio and I work well with children because I am patient, empathetic and compassionate. I’m the same with animals. Being lgbtq+ does not automatically mean I want to or will ever want to sleep with kids. And as a child having to grow up hating myself for something that didn’t even apply to me is part of why I’ll prolly need lifelong therapy. *STOP IT!*
Hey Brojo, the 1980s called and they want their homophobia back.
I've heard or read somewhere that Leviticus 18:22 has a mistranslation in it and the original text is against pedos or same-sex rape.
That's not weird.
A lot of Homosexuals think Heterosexual sex is icky.
Anything that isn't natural for you can seem icky.
Love in a nutshell: "Genes: Dooo eeeet!"
Lust in a nutshell: "Genes: DOO EET NAO!"
Why do these theist callers always say ‘right’ when they clearly don’t agree? Why is ‘right’ a signifier for ‘I’m gonna move on’?
As a Christian, this has been the most counter-intuitive issue to me. I couldn't understand what's wrong with two other people loving each other, having a relationship, etc. I thought, "how does that affect me or anyone else in a negative way?"
And what I've come to realize is: This certainly isn't a priority in the Bible, by any means. It's mentioned in the Bible, what, twice I think? Briefly, too.
There are more verses in the Bible entailing that Earth is flat than there are verses against homosexuality.
But ultimately, I've come to understand that the reason why the Bible is opposed to homosexuality at all is because it isn't teleological. In other words, it means people aren't using things for the purpose they were designed for.
I don't think homosexuality is as big of a sin as many Christians think. I mean, many Christians are drinking alcohol regularly while being extremely opposed to homosexuality. The Bible promotes sobriety far more often.
So, really, a lot of mainstream Christians are just cherry picking and placing emphasis on what they want to believe. Or sins that dont apply to them. Over sins that don't.
At the end of the day, the Bible says we all sin. None of us are sin-less, so Christians who attack homosexuals as if it's this HORRIBLE sin are going to be held accountable for hypocrisy on Judgment Day.
We all sin and we all have different demons that tempt us. Its prideful to over-emphasize other people's sins while reducing the importance of one's own. But many mainstream Christians are doing exactly that. Just because their church taught them to.
