  • If you're trying to prep your 2003 to 2017 Expedition for some off-road adventures, you're going to need a way to fit on larger and more aggressive tires, and ReadyLift's 3" Front/2" Rear SST Spacer Lift Kit is a great way to get your off-road Expedition build off to a great start. This kit comes with a pair of 3" strut spacers for the front of your Expedition and 2" spacers for the rear shock towers so that your Expedition gets a taller and aggressive stance, as well as the ability to fit on 33" tires with ease, and up to 35" tires with the right combination of wheel offsets, backspacing, and tire width. The ReadyLift SST 3/2" lift kit is easy to install and is one of the most effective ways to get your Expedition ready to tackle off-road applications.

    The Upper Control Arm should be tensioned with the suspension at ride height by using a jack under the knuckle compressing the spring and bringing the suspension under load. As you have it demonstrated in the video, the UCA isn't under tension. This will lead to premature bushing wear and failure much sooner than normal.

    Took me 6 hours, Im a noob. Just remember the sway bar end-links have to be disconnected on both sides at the same time. I tried to just take off one wheel at a time and that doesnt work in the front because of the sway bar. In the rear you can do them individually. Im running 22x12 -44 on 33's with a 3/2 on my 2014 Expedition and I rubbed hard on the step-boards, and a little on the front air dam, and rear brake lines are not stretched but the level kit does take away all the extra slack.

      Nope! The tires look big but they stuck with the 18" rim and only went wider on the tire. Original tires where probably 255/65r18 like my limited. The expedition already has 18x8.5 rims. You aren't dramatically going bigger. 16 to 18" wheel is the biggest you want to go. The smaller the rim the more rubber you can go. Off roading is all about grip and clearance.

    • @scottcarden8236
      @scottcarden8236 Před 2 lety

      Personally I won’t use wheel spacers. They have a tendency to break. Buy offset wheels, much safer.

    It looks great but make sure to tell the people about that front upper control arm ball joint angle and how you can expect to replace them frequently if you do not buy a custom control arm with a uniball

    If you were to buy 2 and use both for extra height, would that work? on a stock 2003 ford expedition? Not gonna do it just curious, it seems dangerous.

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  Před 6 lety

      Definitely do not do that. That is way too much lift for a spacer kit without having the appropriate drop brackets. Not to mention stacking spacers is a no no
