I'm calling it right now: Marie will be able to actually puppeteer people using their blood just like how Katara's blood mentor could do in the Avatar anime. She'll basically have Cate's powers that allows her to make people do what she wants, but on a physical level, rather than psychological. Maybe it will only work on certain people and supes, but I think she can do it.

The creators of gen v said that the scene with Rufus was directly inspired by women in college facing constant sexual violence/harassment, and never getting justice. So according to the creators, when Rufus said “it’s not what it looks like” it was just him lying, it was what it looked like, that’s it.

Marie can sense V in blood. What if she could remove it from blood too? Essentially depower supes. Similar to Soldier Boys chest blast "frying the V" out of the blood.
Neumann could have done that to homelander when he threatened to kill her daughter.
Or hear me out, what if she can put the virus in Homelanders blood with her powers?
she can feel the V but she cant take it out since its not blood, but at the same time, she was able to take out the tracker they had implanted, so this theory can be true

Black Noir's actor is still playing him, though this time also playing the character outside the suit too
@@dreamwclker Eric Kripke confirmed that Nathan Mitchell is still the physical actor and stunt double for noir but it’s no longer the same character. We know for a fact it’s no longer the same Noir he’s confirmed to be dead by Kripke himself in an entertainment weekly article.

Yes. Her whole storyline is being able to not have any physical touch and she was denied thag as a child. Mindstorm can use his powers without physical touch and he is the strongest telepath we’ve seen. Maybe Cate can as well but is hindered because she doesn’t know the full scope of her powers.
If she can do that she'll be a lot harder to deal with and would likely only be able to be taken out by a sneak attack. So far I think cate and marie have some of the most hax powers we've seen besides mindstorm.

That makes sense. Just like how when we found out Emma can shrink or grow just by psychologically feeling "small" or "big" without having to eat. Once she gets over that, she will become very VERY powerful.

Except for Rufus (did his penis grow back or what?) everything has been pretty straight-forward connecting-the-dots wise and would be bad form for writing Cate.

If Emma’s feelings are what truly decide if she’s big or small then she is simultaneously the luckiest person and the unluckiest person in the world for never having felt small and pathetic her whole life but also never having felt big and strong/confident her WHOLE life lol. Aren't the supes just humans juiced up on compound V? The human versus supe story line is weird, because they're human and have human families.
I guess it’s the fact that they’ve been superpowered longer than they’ve been non-superpowered, I agree with you though.
There childs dont need the compound V to have power... Translucent son for example.

Did anyone notice how at the end it cut abruptly like cate had wiped them all.
Then again Jordan remembered she got blasted by homelander so I think neuman has hid them in a facility and is gonna use Marie to enhance their powers together and use the virus on homelander.
Another theory is that ashley has saved them to be the anti supe uprising team and the start of the second generation of the seven
Why would Neuman use the virus on Homelander? There is no reason for her to be against him.
another one is how Emma got caught: she was tiny and she was alone in a dark, empty classroom, the perfect situation for her to hide and escape and try to help her friends from outside...

She doesn’t have very good control of her powers yet so she can’t maintain that size indefinitely. She probably returned to normal shortly after the massacre. It is weird that she was captured considering that Vought didn’t know what she was doing at the time. Maybe Cate snitched idk 🤷♂️

My take away from this episode is Marie exploding Cates hand to prevent her from touching Jordan, thats true love right there. So often in fiction it's about some guy risking life and limb for a lady which is fine but it feels so one sided. Just the thought of cate touching they/them was enough to wake up maries abilities. Was nice to see a lady putting her neck on the line for a love interest. Marie's a real one, a true ride or die right there.👍
When I saw her going for Jordan I was pissed. I had a feeling that Marie was gonna explode her hands from the trailer..,just didn't know why. Also Sam siding with Cate made no sense. He knows she kinda killed his brother.
I also think the desperation of that moment and potentially losing Jordan is why she "went overboard" by exploding her arm rather than being more methodical. That and it was just an iconic moment lol.
@@deannas2778Sam along with the rest of the supes from the woods probably just wants to stick with her because their interests are aligned. We also see that Sam is very gulable in the show, and is willing to make relationships with anyone he can trust so he can feel secure. I wouldn't be suprised if homelander became a new rolemodel for him in the boys season 4 or gen v season 2

2:06 Emma? Cate. Great video. Cate will most likely develop her powers into using them without touch but it's a slippery slope because characters such as these (Professor X/Jean Grey/Emma Frost) are always overpowered and thus removed from storylines. If they define her powers with detail they can avoid issues: being able to hear thoughts or reliving memories without touch is fine, but being able to bend someone's will and "push" them simply by thought might become silly. I'm pretty sure she'll get a cybernetic arm like Winter Soldier, it would be great to see strength become part of her repertoire through that arm too

I could be definitely be wrong but wasn’t there a plot point that Supes are either sterile or cannot pass on their powers until Homelander was able to do it?
Homelander threatened to harvest Maeve's eggs suggesting they're not necessarily sterile. Powers could likely be passed on but Homelander doing that was the first time actually shown.
The only one who said to be sterile was homelander because he was created with compound v thats it. Its just most supes dont naturally pass on their powers.
Only homelander was supposed to be sterile the others can have kids but their kids need to be injected with compound V to gain powers

1. Trackers were only put on the group that was at the doctors house when Sam tried to kill him. Cate wiped their memories and the only reason they knew about the trackers was due to Marie sensing it with her power.
2. Cate's arm will be explained in Season 2. Her powers don't last forever, Rufus did eventually stop doing the Jumanji trance.
3. Homelanders plan will be explained in Season 2.
4. They really weren't going to add someone to the Seven in Gen V.
Rufus definitely grew his junk back, as there's no way he could be so casual in subsequent episodes if he remained as a Ken doll.
I already posted this in a sub-comment, but I think Rufus power are related to plants.
- Jordan said to Marie that Rufus used pheromones when he "hypnotized" her.
- His apparent "clairvoyance" is him being able to feel other people's pheromones. That's why he asked Marie to present him something belonging to Emma when she was looking for her.
- Plants use pheromones and have some kind of regenerative powers
Finally, he presents most of his powers as "telepathy" since it sounds way cooler than saying : "Hey ! I'm a half-plant supe !"

In boys season 2, Homelander heats milk without damaged the bottle. Same formula he applied on Marie to made her unconscious instead of death
I like to think that they will try to spend time trying to learn more about their powers, like figuring out how she got small without purging or taking time to reflect on their powers and other ways to use them like MM during the fight. It seems like the best idea to see what they can really do.

I find it hard to believe Homelander doesn't have hundreds, if not thousands, of offspring all around the world. Wouldn't be surprised if Cate was his daughter. Would also explain why he immediately descended the moment she was injured.

I would like them to answer a question about Andre, Was he a naturally born Supe or was he injected with V as a child. I would assume natural as he has the same powers as his father. SO theoretically he should have more power than his father right as Ryan displayed a stronger lazers sight than Homelander
No, he just injected with V, that's what makes Ryan so special
My first thought at the end was that Billy wants something down there, and how did he get there as they go through the school to get it the forest so maybe GodU is closed now as it’s all dark. And I had a weird feeling that maybe Luke’s telling the truth the whole time when he was talking to Sam about how he could stop this all now if he ends Cate but instead she makes him forget Luke, and her and Sam will team up with Homelander as why you can see both of them on his tv screen at the end. But then that also makes me wonder if Cate will do the same thing to Homelander as she did to Goldenboy (at the start by driving him to insanity to kill brink n kill himself)

Helpful hint from the source material:: all supes have accelerated healing and above human level strength to some varying degrees. This has been shown in the show too, it’s how Black Noir survived and why Frienche had to be so creative in Season 1
Is it me or do the characters seem to conveniently disregard the revelation at the end of The Boys S4 that Supes aren’t born with their powers but drugged by Vought while young…like no one investigated Vought?? Yet they still act like Supes are another “race” of people instead of just normal humans experimented on with an OP performance enhancer?
Because they see themselves as a master race, they aren't a new species, they just want to justify thinking they're superior
I think Emma shrinking is an egg that the GU supes may be able to access their powers by more ways than they were taught. This also happened to Marie and I suspect Cate doesn’t need to touch a person to manipulate them. Maybe the drugs limited her abilities.
I can see the rest of the 7 being filled by Sam, Cate, Maverick and Rufus though. But i admit that would feel lackluster

Cate will become a combination of the Dark Phoenix and The Scarlett Witch. She will do bad things, go nuts, then recognize what she’s done is wrong, and will do the right thing while sacrificing herself. Hopefully getting rid of Homelander in the process.

If Marie’s powers are gonna develop, so is that of her new nemesis/enemy AKA Cate. Season 2 is probably gonna reveal to us that she doesn’t need physical touch in order to control ppl.
I don’t think Kates power is gonna develop that rapidly. They’ll probably give more glimpses but to make her like professor X is game over. She’s be too OP. Even for Marie.

I think the problem with promoting anyone from the main cast to the Seven is that it leaves out a lot of info for people who haven't watched Gen V. Something as important as adding a member to the Seven should get a good amount of focus in The Boys. Adding a character that some of your audience is already familiar with is leaving out the rest.

I was surprised by this season finale... but I confess that I was very naive while watching I was sure that Marie would be promoted to seven and would be in the season 4. 😂😂😂 (and I think Gen V will always be about the school.. that's the "theme". And I like that.)
I saw a theory somewhere that without the medication limiting Cate, she can use her powers without touching now, and that her actual "final push" she needed to do for the dean was to trick Marie and co into thinking that everything we saw after that scene happened, since they pointed out that it was a huge tonal shift with Cate between the two scenes where she knows now that Indira's telling the truth about how much she loves her to being furious at her and ruthlessly killing her. Maybe part of that push illusion was also Cate making some of them actually kill some people. Idk, I don't know if I actually believe this theory but it would definitely be wild if season 2 of gen v shows Indira still alive and Cate working as her loyal follower/adopted daughter, and maybe that's why they're also not in a prison or anything, this being Indira's plan of getting them out of her way in order to go ahead with her virus without their meddling but also Cate making a deal with her for them to be put aside where they are and spared. I guess this could also explain why Marie had literally 0 damage from Homelander's laser blast. Idk lol
my theory is that everything after the main cast found Cate and Shati was all in their heads from cate pushing them into her mind or their own minds like she did earlier in the seaon when they got stuck in her head/dreams. i think now that shes not on the pills shes MUCH stronger and after she met with Sheti and cried with her Sheti said "she just needs one more push and its over" then the next scene Cate kills Shetti??
I think Sheti used Cate to fake her death and possibly trap the main cast in their own minds since theyre the only ones that really know about the woods.
Cate created either a simulation in their minds or altered their minds so that THEY where the ones killing innocent people at the school thinking they were fighting "escaped supes from the woods" but really they were just regular students. Which would make more sense in the context of what Homelander told Marie about being animals attacking their own kind. Its implied that its because she blew Cates hand off but it also has to do with them fighting other supes
Finally. I have no clue why no one is talking about how off the last episode feels. Nothing is right from the start to the end .
Well at Shetty's house she did tell cate to "do one final thing and everything will be fine". Keeping in mind that Shetty is a great manipulator I sense something fishy here. Remember that guy in the beginning of the show who changed his shape into that of Rufus for 50 bucks... There can be a possibility that cate told him to turn into Shetty and it was him who was at the house when that slice thing happened.... Another point i noticed is that the conversation between cate and Shetty in front of everyone looked very staged to me.
At the end I predict they may be in Kate’s head or something the whole no doors made me think that they where never moved there they are just in Kate’s mind
Did the finale even happen? I think episodes 7 and 8 are still part of the dream sequence from episode 6.

Calling it right now. Cate taking Sam's feelings away will be a MAJOR plot point. Cate will be the new member of the 7, Sam will replace old Black noire. The unhinged and crazy BlackNoire from the comics will be depicted through Sam, using Cates push and taking away his feelings as a segway for all the atrocities he commits. Seems to be going in that direction

How did marie survive a homelander laser beam when she van easily be cut with a regular knife?
Queen Maeve has Butchers baby and at the end of season 4 Butcher will sacrifice himself to stop the virus from killing Ryan and his new child, who will also be a sup.
