I arrive in Wellington on the North Island, by sheer chance meet unicyclist Grant out on the streets with his unicycle, tackle the Rimutaka mountain range and my fantastic parents come out see me. Woah, a lot's crammed into this one!

My name's Ed and for the last 2.5 years I've been riding my unicycle around the globe. With over 15,900miles already ridden, 'Ed Unicycles New Zealand' is the video series documenting my 1500mile self-supported unicycle tour across Kiwi-land.

Drones are godsend, modern technologies in general. Enables everyone of us to record to notch video and drones put quite an extra pack of epicness into that stuff. Back in the day, you needed helicopters and planes for aerial footage, was expensive and elaborate. Today, a guy surrounding the planet with a few hands ful of stuff can spice up his video presentations quite a lot with that tech. It's awesome.
And there is no need to apologize for that footage. When used as an elegant filler between closer shots, there can't be enough drone shots. I am looking forward to even more of them!

ahh, i always flinch when other people try out your unicycle and then crash *argh* ...come on guys! he's riding around the world with this, you can't just smash his one-wheeled instrument to the ground like that...! your youthful carelessness is inspirational. i had that once, but time and experience takes its toll..
