I have a pair of Sansui SPZ9II's that were given to me that had been in his son's storage for years. For me, they are the most awesome sounding speakers I've owned in my 70 years. The treble, midrange and bass combine into ultra detailed sound and can handle high power amps no problem. I only wish I had four more, just can't seem to find any. If offered 2K for them I would NEVER let them go.
I'm a Pioneer guy but Sanusi on the same level ! If I do another vintage system Sanusi the way I'll go nice set up ! What made these brands great was competition wars !!
I have collected a lot of vintage receivers over the decades, I have both Pioneer and Sansui receivers. Personally I like the sound of the preamp of my Kenwood Model Eleven running through some crown amplifiers the best

Ogólnie to mogę powiedzieć, że sansui 881 nigdy nie był w czołówce sansui, teraz trochę zyskał, ponieważ brakuje na rynku konkretów,i niektórzy sansui 881 przedstawiają teraz jako jakiś wyjątkowy model, a tak nie jest. To moje zdanie. Pozdrawiam
Typical Sansui speakers. Oversized woofer with mostly mid-bass emphasis and otherwise clean prominent midrange with a somewhat but not very detailed or overly detailed top end. Monster Sansuis and mostly a good mid-range speaker. They do mids well, the rest could use a bit more extension. This is just the problem of the design, too many drivers in a cabinet that is not quite big enough. Nonetheless they can sound good with some kinds of music, like what we hear here-vocals and instumentals with less prominent low ends. Some people, though very much enjoy this sound signature. My advice? Add a Subwoofer and you're good!
