warhammer 2 is probably my favourite tw to watch now as i’ve played and watched m2 and r1 to death
My god, R1 and M2 are legendary strategy/4x games. The LOTR mod for M2 is out of this world amazing. Playing as the Rohirrim, slowly building your army, kicking Sarumans ass, and then invading Mordor is very satisfying.
Those Fireleech bolas’ tactics really impressed me. Didn’t think the AI was capable of such things in succession

This is the easiest sorting out the disaster yet tomb kings are very strong even in a pinch, specially khalida. Tomb kings can pull a rabbit from a skull in emergencies. People forget khalidas whole force has poison attacks.

Warpedlogical If you press space bar I think you can firing arcs and other valuable info. I think by pressing alt and clicking is how he moves his unit. If you go to the total war page and look at their academy videos they have a video on army placement and a host of other things. I think Zerkovich does the video and he’s pretty good. Check it. Also lock groups are hella helpful. Oh and you don’t need DLC. It’s just basic controls that the game should really teach. I remember how when I first started out how hard it was to be aggressive because I could get my army to move in formation. Then I learned about lock groups. 😉
I think Vanilla Carnosaurs have a base movespeed of something like 82 or 90 - which puts them on par with v.fast skirmisher cav
What saved you was the poison, which probably slowed them down to about 74
I thought it was 75.
Khalida's poison bonus only applies to melee. It is bugged on ranged, which CA has ignored despite reported ages ago.
Love Tomb Kings so much, especially Khalida. She has a tough start, but not as hard as what you had to deal with! Thanks for the content.

Loved this one. Struggeled with Khalida in ME her start position is just so difficult, espescially because it was my first time playing TK.
Thanks for more saving disaster campaigns! Btw I'm on an early game campaign with settra and I like to mix both spears and swords so spears take the damage and swords kill a few on the frontline

have to say this kind of "only if i find it interesting" SYDC is a much better format; previous format felt stale as a lot of the disaster campaigns seemed to have a cut and paste kind of approach to getting it back in shape

Still better than that one where you pressed end turn and instantly lost. That was funny and a real demonstration for how outright stupid agent actions are for the computer. Although to be fair... if not for the ability to outright cheat the computer wouldn't stand a chance. Although... it would be fun seeing a massive multiplayer mod for total war. It would force the computer to take longer on each turn and give a time limit for human actions. That way there would be no way of knowing who's a computer and who's not with no more auto resolve. The game would slow to a crawl but imagine being able to play where literally every faction on the map is a human player and it's all working.
@@LyricalStarr Probably, but there is something to be said about playing a total war game where your enemy doesn't endlessly derp out for exploitation. Where you don't know if you're dealing with a twerp that can be toyed with or someone who can actually adapt and think. Granted a single turn would take about a half hour to get through everything, but at the same time... it could be interesting.

@@HeavenoverhelI Which one was what? In the end the thing I'm advocating for is a mod so that the campaign map is human controlled. Yes, it would take forever and a day to finish a game. But the amount of strategy and skill that would show up at the end of it? Not to mention the cheats that computers get wouldn't show up in the game at all. No agent or hero spam. Tactical use of spells left right and center. Sieges broken up by cavalry charging out to screw with the archers, ram or towers forcing you to get a battalion of spears in the way. Yes, it would take forever to finish the game, but what a game!

Khalida's start is so brutal in ME. Lahamia seems to always go for a garrasion right away making it a nightmare to capture. Even if you do Kroq-Gar is gonna be on you by turn 21-22 usually with a full stack of sheilded saurus and dino's. Some times the other lizard fraction down south joins him to beat on you as well. If that isn't the roughest start in the game i am not sure what is.
Your campaigns always look really nice visually. What are you settings and gpu/cpu?
You can get negative money because when enemy armies raid they actually deduct that money from your treasury - this is only noticeable as Tomb Kings.
They got added in the most recent patch. They start left of Karak Zorn dwarfs, right at the bottom of the map.
Is there a reason you don't use the faction ability to summon? Just curious

Teotiqua just sits there declaring war on random factions but they are incredibly passive unless you as a player form an alliance with them and unleash them, they will basically do what Kroq-Gar tells them to. Playing as Kroq now and have them as allies but havn´t used them yet, don´t really need them to mess things up and capture settlements I need.
Don´t actually know if you are playing against them whether they become aggressive, didn´t watch the whole video ... just about half of it. In both my games where they were known to me they did the summoning ritual but actually never used the summoned dinos.

I never knew that raiding was based on your treasury not income. He goes from negative income to positive at 8:11 to 9:30
I find it weird that this particular campaign doesn't look like a disaster in fact its looks like playing a Hard Total war Shogun start.
Hey mate, fellow aussie here. Just a quick question, with our Internet quality how long does it typically take you to upload a video of this length? I'm thinking of starting up some content but with my Internet speed and the tests I've run it would be a nightmare to actually upload any content as it would take hours. Wondering if this is a fixable issue or just a part of #LifeDownUnder
I've now got nbn and this video was about 12gb. It took about 4-6 hours to upload. It is 1440p though so you can totally get away with a 1080p or even 720p for starters which will reduce upload times

How does he do that army drag and place at 21:50? As well as seeing the lines of fire and such? Is it the TW2 UI mod or does it come in game? I currently only have TW1 so I assume it's not available to me?

I'm surprised how excellent the game is now, the tomb kings distinct mechanics make them very unique and different to play than other empires, the same goes for dark elf slavery mechanic, dwarf forge mechanic etc. My problem is all my friends hate the game because they still think its Warhammer1 which was very dumbed down from Rome 2/Medieval 2/Shogun 2 and had spells that basically did nothing. The game is perfected now with Steel Faith mod+Brutal Battles but I have no one to play with :'(
A dumbed down version of Rome 2? Mate, I dropped Rome 2 like a hot mess and if I want to play a Rome game it's still Rome 1. Rome 2 has felt like the lowest for me, although I haven't played Attila or Thrones yet.

Flock of Djaf are OP tho XD, armor piercing, fire-bombing ability, 130 speed, good melee stats etc etc, why no flock of djaaaaf?!
Right? The firebombs are worth it on their own, IMO.

I think you forgot to put Khalida in the middle of the archers for her short range aura for extra damage with archers, also lowering enemy leadership spell is not that usefull on very hard/legendary difficulty tbh lowering armor and attack damage spell was better, nice gameplay thou.

Man at Legendary the AI „Tactics“ are merely to throw enough shit at the wall so maybe some will stick.
You defeated 2 armies, then they get a blessed doomstack and recruit 3 new armies in as many turns.
I like challenges, but legendary is just too stupid imho.
This series is great work though!
How do you end up at war with Kroq Gar. So many common enemies it's almost impossible for him to turn on you o.O

Kroq Gar declares war on my wife every time she plays as Khalida. Same for another of my friends. His AI is stupid aggressive.

why no sword skeletons?
spear skeletons have better melee defence and they have decent bonus versus large. Sword skeletons are marginally better against conventional infantry, but spears hold the line longer, which is the basic skeletons' main function anyways, since the actual casualties are caused by archers. Holding the line longer means more time for the archers to pepper the enemy.

tbh, after tw:rome2, I lost all my respect for this series,and even with the fantastic warhammer setting,I had no interest in this game. But it seems the setting allowed them to expand game in so many areas. Maybe I'll give it a shot.
