*Sorry this video is such low quality. The file on my computer is fine and is 1440p but youtube just refuses to render it beyond 360p for some reason*
What was the file size after rendering? Perhaps something went wrong when rendering and it's come out as some ungodly filesize? That would make youtube take longer to process the video regardless of resolution. If it's something over a few GBs then something is probably wrong with how it was rendered.

@Matthew Beattie with all the buffs you can get clanrats to be pretty good and they're super cheap and you can use the menace below. Then you can have massive clanrat armies with rat orges flanking
@@tomfurstyfield Not to mention that since they're garbage already and easily replaceable, you can be indiscriminate with your spells and artillery.

Everything you did in that first battle was 100% was Skaven is all about. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at this point if you turned out to be a real life Skaven wearing a human disguise.

You can hate the rats, but you have to admit - they make all battles look extra epic. They come in ridiculous numbers, their artillery is brutal, and when cavalry charges into their ranks they're the best at flying in all directions :D

@@AFCbailey Well you gotta take into account leadership and the lord because unlike scrolk you send queek in with the frontline giving that extra leadership plus stormvermin have good melee defence and alot of models. Also skaven have strenght in numbers which gives them a buff

I just discover your Channel some days ago and I love your "saving your disaster campaing" on warhammer 2. It's great, I watch pretty all the warhammer ones already

skaven are about numbers and underhanded tactics. A good tactic to maintain is a skavenslave army to buffer your good one like a meat shield. They can always turn the odds in a fight with just pure numbers, especially with the food rats. I find always recruiting another warlord to follow your main one around a good idea. You can also use them as bait and set your stronger army as an ambush in front of the bait army.
Not too bothered about quality tbh, thanks for the content. Personally relaxing to just sit back and watch your vids so thanks for doing what you do.
Easy way to make sure your empire doesn't fall? BUILD WALLS. Get smaller settlements to Tier 3 first, you dont want to waste time regaining the growth to upgrade a recaptured settlement.
Also walls will allow you to abuse skaven sneak attacks as all enemy ai will waste at least 1 turn to build siege equipment, except for maybe someone like Vlad with the siege expert trait. Campaign skaven for me is basically abusing as much out of the ambush mechanic as skavenly possible.
Walls do diddly-squat later in the game when you spawn intervention armies for example. 2 elite chaos stacks give 0 fux about your tier 5 walls, they will assault immediately and weather you lead the defence or not they will destroy your city.
The game shows you when the armies spawn for the ritual, you should be ready for an attack at that point anyway. You can always do the tactic of placing an ambush army in front of your city to at least catch a stack off guard with your own elites and Garrison which should be enough to catch out any single stack without too much trouble.
@@pakornwattanavrangkul2550 yes they do show, AFTER they already spawn, not before and the game deliberately spawns them as far away from your armies as possible. You cannot prepare for them because the game is rigged in such a way that you're not supposed to.
I won legendary last defenders some months ago, never playing eye of vortex again. Shitty troll mode designed to piss you off
Also, abuse the fuck out of rebellion by spawn camping them with armies of slaves. You'll get free cash, free food, free xp. They're also damn effective as fodder to take weaker cities during campaign. Let Queek and another lord do the heavy lifting while they rampage and take control of the map.

Yeah, he's a great lord-sniper with his Skavenbrew, and with 35 bonus vs infantry he would have eaten that Loremaster alive. Sitting there getting shot by his magic missiles was a waste of Queek's talents.
@Josh Tinsley Especially once you have Trophy Heads and whatnot. Coupled with a spellcasting Lord and you have a rather scary army right there that'll wreck plenty of armies if you play it right.

Off topic from the video but i just watched Havoc's review on the steel and statecraft update and man i love how even tho you got out of touch with CA, i could almost swear they still watch your videos and try to fix everything you criticize (i'm not praising the update as i haven't tried it and wouldn't know if it's actually a step in the right direction). IMO you're one of, if not the most influential total war veteran that i ever saw and i'm glad to know that we have you to represent the players' interest in the quality of these games! Keep fighting till we get the best strategy game ever made! LEGEND INVICTA

if you click on the gear icon to the right of 69 you turn of notifications for things like the vortex
There is something up with this video, I've never watched anything like this (the closest is a sponsored video Robbaz did a couple of years ago) and it popped up in my recommended just now in 1440p. This video is as broken and infected as the Skaven

I never knew about the 'Control Large Army' untick difference. This changes everything :o
I thought it was like in Rome and Med2, where if you untick, the AI controls your second army.

@@sernoddicusthegallant6986 SFO makes skaven pretty good imo, you got some nice unit mods balanced for it as well, including our favorite missing weapon team.
Skaven campaign is objectively worse than any other faction. Their economy is garbage, they get punished for having multiple armies DESPITE them needing multiple armies more than any other faction. The only reason you'd play Skaven is you want to add +1 to the difficulty of your campaign.

There is nothing good about them. Both their settlements and armies are inferior and artificially limited in numbers, despite being a quantity faction.
They have shitty loyalty mechanics, low leadership, inferior unit quality, useless tier 1-2 AND YOU CAN'T BRING THE NUMBERS YOUR SUPPOSED TO BECAUSE FOOD.
Yes, Skaven is OBJECTIVELY, QUANTIFYABLY AND UNDENYABLY inferior to every other race in the campaign. They are a challenge mode.

Why dont you utilize the ambushes for quickly surrounding the opponent? They should get morale mali for being surrounded and you could attack them more easily. At least thats what I take from those battles. Is it just your personal preference?
I think that at his state he couldnt do that properly, since he needs to protect those long range artillery (his main source of damage)
You need good range/angles to put them to good use, and in surround ambushes it doesnt work
If he lost any piece of artillery in those battles, it surely would hurt
Enemy hero standing right infront of your cannons at the pointblank distance... - proceeds to shoot half-dead archers. Kinda get why you don't like playing skaven - you just don't know how cook 'em.
ennemy troops get a buff in very hard :o wat, that's why my craven rats get demolished. also 46:26 why did you completely brushed aside the advantage the ambush gives you? I feel you would have lost way less troops if you rushed them on two fronts in the middle while shooting the blob of them with the arti. (But them im not as skilled as you definetly)
I guess it's because he doesn't like ambushing? I mean, I love sandwiching my enemies and then shoot the blob in the middle with artillery and magic, but maybe he likes just straight-up battles.
At 1:14:25 the ambush map is clearly a phallus.

Am I missing something or could Legend have used the ambush stance? There were a few times that I saw where he could've used it to great effect to murder one of the enemy armies. Not only does ambush allow you to surround the enemy (and negate their range like the elves had), but it also gives a massive buff to the balance of power on the campaign map. At least all that is my experience. (Not trying to say Legend played badly though, he played quite well, I just haven't seen him really use ambush in TWW2)
When he said he couldnt take the city, i expected him to lay an ambush and hope the Elves tried moving north

2 bodies? As in 2 pieces of artillery? if so you might need to change your unit size settings. most have 4.
