There is an upgrade kit called SFM03 Shadow Fisher for MP27 to move the side panels from the hips .--> Shadow Fisher SFM-03 Upgrade Kit for MP-27 Ironhide but most places are sold-out.
The robot on studios 86 looks better. Especially the chest. While the van mode on the Mp looks better and the yellow stripe is included. I can't even tab properly the roof of the van on studios 86 Ironhide. Only one side tabs I also have trouble tabbing its sides. Not tabbing properly often. And the back of the van splitting on me.
That KO MP Fe -hide is sure wibbly-wobbly I don't think the OG MP was like that. The Mp Van is definitely better but I don't collect MP TFs. Give old Ironhide a hug.
Huh. I also got a MP27 Ironhide KO awhile back, and for the most part, it's been a pretty good experience. A few things... 1. You have the large cannon on the wrong spot, the instructions show where everything goes... 2. ...in that regard, the spare face goes on the underside of the display base. That's in the instructions as well. 3. WOW, talk about "your mileage may vary"...so your Ironhide's stoic face basically has unpainted eyes. On my copy, the open mouth face isn't exactly molded right and can fall apart, though when it's on his head, it can be situated just fine. 4. That radar dish that goes in the forearm...yeah, it was entirely too tight with my copy, unfortunately had to destroy the dish and open up the forearm to get the peg out. 5. A thing that I noticed about most MPs before MP36 Megatron is that a lot of'em SUCK at holding their weapons. It's either bad hand design (Sideswipe and his repaints), not enough clearance (Ratchet & Ironhide), or even both (regular Hot Rod and Targetmaster Hot Rod). And there's another problem that doesn't help Sideswipe or Hot Rod at all: the tabs on their guns are also too fat to properly fit the slots in the hands. You close the hand around the grip, it WILL be dislodged. 6. You're absosmurfinlutely right about that part that flips out from behind the front fender for robot mode being difficult to get out. On my copy, it's even harder to get the rear bumper to fold out (it becomes the heels for robot mode). This could be another case of "your mileage may vary", and to some degree - from what I've heard - this even plagues the legit Ironhide...though I haven't heard about it for either the legit or KO Ratchet. 🤷🏽♂️
I have the mp and ss 86 ironhide I don't hate the mp buy I know alot do I like the ss 86 but still think it's overpriced the transformation is cool but the top doesn't close together proper and 3 shades of red plus the back is plain it looks alit better after toyhax but for the price it should have come that way automatically

I like your reviews! I’ve never been a fan of the ironhide character design, but I bought the SS86 to display in box.
Thr SS86 Ironhide is the winnrer, IMO, and by a long shot.

Well, I will be reviewing the MP KO Ratchet. And yes, I saw where the face is supposed to go under the sled. But it doesn't stay. Sigh.

The hollow and red face was when he got killed....
SS86 Iron Hide is better and is a missing yellow stripe away from being a 10/ 10 for me.
