TRANSFORMERS CHROMEDOME DX9-mini 02 “Michael Murphy” Review
Transformers introduced the Headmasters in 1987 and Chromedome was one of the four Autobot heroes from the sky that bore that title. While the original toys were actually larger than they were supposed to be, this third-party DX9-mini 02 “Michael Murphy” version is quite a bit smaller. But still a great homage to the original and Captain Kyle reviews it to see if it would make a fine addition to your collection.
Chromedome was one of the four deluxe-class Autobots that were converted into Headmasters and his partner was named Stylor. The comic book and the cartoon had very different stories, but in both continuities, the Decepticons found the Autobot Headmasters to be quite the challenge and had to create Headmasters of their own. Though Stylor could also point out the fashion faux pas of their enemies. Captain Kyle examines this toy thoroughly and also provides a full guide to transforming it since the video that is linked on the packaging is a little fast.
To get this toy, try:
• Ali Express: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DmJ0LMF (This link is for a $35 toy at the time of publishing with free shipping. You can likely use a coupon code as well.)
• eBay: ebay.us/fYAAkK (most are a little more expensive than from Ali Express)

TRANSFORMERS G1 TRAILBREAKER “Reissue” KO Review
zhlédnutí 699Před 16 hodinami
Transformers Generation 1 Series 1 introduced Trailbreaker, an Autobot who sounded very mellow and had a forcefield. This G1 counterfeit reissue is a great replica of the original and Captain Kyle reviews it to see if it’s good enough for your collection. Trailbreaker’s forcefield has saved the Autobots many a time, and apparently works better than Defensor’s. The Decepticons have run into it a...
TRANSFORMERS Target OPTIMUS PRIME & BULLSEYE 2-Pack Review

In Transformers, Optimus Prime is one of the most recognized Autobots in the world. So, it was easy for him to get a job at Target. This exclusive 2-pack has the legendary Optimus Prime as a Target truck and he has an Autobot dog named Bullseye. Who becomes… something. Captain Kyle reviews this two-pack to see if it’s right for you. The days of Optimus Prime fighting Megatron and his Decepticon...

Transformers Masterpiece unleashes the primal fury (pun intended) of Optimus Primal, a.k.a. Convoy, in this MP-38 Legendary Leader Version. Except this on is a knockoff and Captain Kyle reviews it to see if the quality is as legendary as we hope. Optimus Primal, or Convoy as he is known is Japan, is the leader of the Maximals and is trying to stop the Predacons from starting a new Great War. In...
EVOLUTION OF ARCEE: Transformers Botcon to Studio Series 86

Transformers the Movie gave us Arcee, a bold and heroic female Autobot who could go toe-to-toe with Decepticons. However, it was years before we received a transforming toy version of this character. But since then, there have been a lot. Captain Kyle reviews many of them in showing the Evolution of Arcee. In 2001, Botcon released Arcee's first transforming toy version, though it was a repaint ...
TRANSFORMERS Metrotitan NEW KO (Lower Price!) Review

Transformers in Japan introduced an evil version of Metroplex named Metrotitan. And previously we have shown a counterfeit reissue to get it for much less than an original. But now we present an even cheaper knockoff version of Metrotitan and Captain Kyle reviews it thoroughly! Metrotitan was supposed to be an Autobot, but the Decepticons reprogrammed him for evil. Which is rude. The original t...
TRANSFORMERS “SUPERION” KO Combination of Fighter Jets Review

Transformers, being a popular toy line, has inspired companies to make a lot of knockoffs. The Combination of Fighter Jets is an Aerialbots knockoff set that combines into Superion, though at a slightly smaller scale. Captain Kyle reviews this cheap set to see if it’s any good. The Aerialbots were created by the Autobots to offset the new Decepticon subgroup known as the Stunticons. Made up of ...

Transformers the Movie may have seen the death of Starscream, but he proved harder to finish off than that. With appearances in Season 3 of the cartoon as a ghost, he also entered the Beast Wars and possessed Waspinator. Transformers the Movie featured one of the most epic battles ever seen in a cartoon. And of course, Transformer fans wanted to recreate it as much as possible. 3 TRANSFORMERS World’s Smallest Dinobots Review

Transformers suddenly had a new size in the early 2000s with the release of the World’s Smallest Transformers, but Justitoys filled in some gaps in those releases with the World’s Smallest Dinobots. Transformers introduced Smokescreen in 1985 along with a bunch of other Autobots, plus a few Decepticons. Part of Generation One Series 2, this diversionary tactician had weapons and a similar form to two Series One bots but was definitely a distinct personality. And should be kept out of Vegas. Captain Kyle reviews this G1 “Reissue” knockoff to see if it might fill a hole in your collection. S...

TRANSFORMERS G1 HOUND “Reissue” KO Review
I'm sure EmGo would appreciate the nod
Then why isn't he green like Chromedrome?
Are you thinking Hardhead?
@@ToySpotlite Yes I meant to say that. It was my intention but I wrote it wrong.
i just hate when Kyle goes skipping on details because it's an old mold and we are ALL SUPPOSED to had them all when we were kids. That's fkn lazy and if you gonna do a review.. do it in it's entirery!
Didn't know they were oversize back in the day. I didn't remember different heads changing the spec, totally forgot about that meter lol. I loved Chromedome and this one is very nice tribute to the character. Never understood the name when he has no chrome anywhere, or even a dome. I'm not sure which transformer should have had that name instead lol. It feels like they owned the name and just decided to use it here after a redesign or a rename elsewhere in the line. Maybe the name they had picked out was already assigned or trademarked elsewhere. Pity the windshield isn't smokey transparent like the original cause the seating inside is well done. He still has a bit of a Mad Max/future tech feel to the car mode it's great.
If Dx9 puts out the rest of The Headmasters I will definitely be on board.

☘️
Should be great for every video
It’s a KO of NewAge Megatron
Did you know transformers distributed in Japan actually have windows on the core class figures as well as all the other figures and sometimes it’s just the box with print on it and no window
Awesome, that's why I love watching your videos so I don't open my KO's! XD_ _ _
He seems a little floppy captain
They have pills for that. Oh wait! Yeah, but the original was as well.
It is a 4 wd toyota hilux like Hoist.
I feel bad he messed up "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" 😢
He used poetic license to change it to "peace."
@@ToySpotlite Oh I see..... understood. Thank you 👍🏻😊
Glad it's not just my reissue/ko that says Bobot on the box! 😂
Was considering but managed to get the encore version
wheeljack is one of the coolest autobots. my favorite is the war for Cybertron
ah yeah, from just the box itself you would know it is a counterfeit coz it says "Transforms from camper to bobot and back!" Not robot.
I may get one nice figure
Ahhh this is my absolute favourite as a kid. Looked so good in vehicle mode and I love the stubby robot mode and the black with red and chrome accents and the stickers. I been so tempted to get another one and I no longer have it. Or maybe one of those MP style ones but it needs the g1 face like this. I put the missles in his back pack slots like the artwork on the box has it. I always used the dual cannon attachment in one side and the fist in the other. If I was to get a knock off I think I'd want to get a diaclone sticker set to get that gold side panel deco like his box art has. My original was typical Hasbro black stickers with the white pinstripe and the yellow and black colour bars. If I ever get lured back into this hobby I'll have every colour variation. I love this design so much as well as the Hoist version. Had him too back in the day. The masterpeice Hoist looks more like these guys in body and I prefer that to the animation lanky tall style.
He’s a Toyota Hilux w/campershell
Good to know. I'm not a car guy.
I know, just incase you wanted to know. Learn something new everyday Yada yada 😁
Think Marty Mcfly's pick up from back to the future@ToySpotlite
I LOVED this toy as a G1 kid!! Nice , honest review!
I thought he was a Toyota pickup with camper?
He was, lol
Toyota Hilux to be exact
Yeah, I'm not a car guy. Lol
@@ToySpotlite that’s ok…tbh for years I also thought it was a Ford Bronco 2 …I think probably stems to when my grade school teacher had a black Ford Bronco 2 when I first got my Trailbreaker…I sure loved that toy! lol
@ToySpotlite I'm not saying that you were mistaken sir. Rather I was attempting to inquire whether or not I was mistaken. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and totally understand why you may have assumed that I was doing the ( erruhhmm actually...etc) 😁
i love trailbreaker
Yeah, same here with mine... fist and missles won't stay
Is yours a counterfeit or the real deal?

Thanks for comparing both. Excellent review
I'd buy Bullseye if it pops up loose for sale but I am so sick of the mess that is the Legacy G2 Laser Prime mold that I don't care to own it again... I sold 2 of them off & only kept Toxitron because that guy has no better toy options. Come on, Fans Hobby, make Toxitron! The Volvo Prime was probably off-limits for being a truck used by a competing store.
very fun. Sadly doesn't look like its coming to Canada. Since Target is no longer in Canada. Usually those exclusives from Target or Walgreens go to Toysrus, or gamestop here. But I have a feeling... that won't happen because of branding. but fun review. The colours are really nice!
I have the RID Scourge repaint of Legacy Laser Prime. I like the mold. But, not enough to buy it more than once.
UPC Scanner-trailer bit, Spot-shipping package.
Hi, I'm sure Hasbro said bullseye turns into a postage package. And the weapon from the trailer is a package scanner and Optimus prime is a delivery man.
I like this figure but target isn't in my region. And the ebay asking price for it is a bit much
You should be able to order from Target directly. There should be a shopping link when you watch the video.
All the fucking twist ties
This review is no 'bull'! 😂🎉
Care to do a review on the KO G1 Scorponok? Saw it online, wonder how the quality is..
That toy isn't in the budget right now. Maybe someday...
Tbh, it’s really ex for a KO 😮
I cant wait for hasbro to do a walmart megatron
Well... crap. Now I have to get this guy somehow... Normally, I'd just skip on by such an exclusive, but the damn dog, man... Gotta add this fella to Blaster's cassette team now, probably going to be Howlback's nemesis 😂 Prime isn't bad looking at all, really, and kind of reminds me of the alternate Cybertron Optimus Prime deco, but with a G2 truck style and G1 trailer, instead of futuristic fire truck... I do feel like they could have at least painted the inside of the trailer black though, to create SOME kind of contrast to that stark white... Eh, something I can take care of myself, I suppose. 😅 Really enjoyed the review of this set.
There should be a shopping link in the video to order it from Target directly.
Maybe some stickers might do the trick?
@@bcluett1697 Yeah, I have some Toyhax sheets with extra sticker material that I use for stuff like that, but a nice coat of matte black paint and a clear seal over it, for the base coat, then add the decals and other detailing to that...
@ToySpotlite Yeah, I saw that, unfortunately the issue is that I recently had to take a lesser paying job, so I'm without the extra disposable income for things like this, that pop up out of the blue at $60 a pop... So, I have to figure out some way to work it in before they disappear or become impossible to get at a retail price or close to it... but it is what is, so if I'm meant to have it, I'll get it somehow, and if not, then I'll just have to be without, I suppose...🤷
I got this guy too! I feel bad for the people who missed out on this guy, you know how much scalpers LOVE Target exclusives...
It’s still available
I’m look Like Peter Cullen because my voice is Optimus
@2:15 Hey, I’m that Reddit user! Thanks for the shoutout, you just made my son’s whole week!
Awesome! Smart kid!
Well hopefully Target will now have transformers in stock.😅😅😅😅
I think the dog's alt mode is supposedly a Target gift card.
You're likely correct! Didn't think of that.
@ToySpotlite, nah, he's a target shipment box
Awesome review and comparisons of these guys! Like you, I have both G1 and Dr. Wu sets (all 3 of them)... I managed to finally find the G1's at Heroes Con in Charlotte a few years ago, as well as Overkill & Slugfest, and the Autobot Cassette duo of Grandslam and Raindance, and 3 of the 4 Technobots I needed (Still need Lightspeed)... I think I still need a G1 Ratbat to complete the 10 mainstream Decepticon Cassette releases (unless I can find a decent KO to fill the spot...?). Anyway, I was glad to finally get these guys in my G1 collection with my original G1 Soundwave. When we started getting the modern versions of these guys, I never expected Hasbro to produce them, nor Overkill and Slugfest, and so far, they've unfortunately proven me right (I'm still hoping they'll get around to them, but so far, not, obviously...). Thankfully, Dr.Wu took up the gauntlet and did them for us... well, a VERSION of them anyway... (as well as the Autobot Cassette combiner team), which made me pretty happy to be able to have them in my collection. I really like them, myself... not necessarily more or less than the G1 versions, but equally in their own way... If I had a complaint about them at all, it's just how overly blocky Raindance looks with his wings. It would have been so nice if they could have included a hinge to allow them to fold open more like bird wings instead of clunky looking "robot leg wings", and have them thinner... Nonetheless, I still love the set, and I'm hoping that they'll tackle Overkill and Slugfest sometime soon, as well as Enemy & Flipsides, and possibly the two combining Dino-cassete teams, to get us closer to getting all 30-ish or so Autobot AND Decepticon Cassettes... Dr.Wu has also done a couple of drone type cassettes in this scale previously, which I also have... I'm thinking they were supposed to be Decepticon drones, but I use them as Autobot drone cassettes, since Blaster ALWAYS gets shortchanged and $#!t on where the Cassettes are concerned... we're only just now getting a proper Eject, and a Steeljaw, but no sign of a Ramhorn, Stripes, Sundor, Flipsides, or the black version of Steeljaw, (though with Steeljaw incoming, they might capitalize on the repaint, but who knows when?!)... Either way, the drones are pretty cool, even though they are just little vehicles, like Grandslam and Raindance, but don't combine into a bot. I was able to get all 3 sets of these guys, and the Autobot sets, so I've renamed 2 sets to use with Blaster originally, BUT now, there's Twincast and Soundblaster to consider, as well, so I'm not sure which way to divvy them up in my collection now... 🤔 Same with the other 2 Autobot sets. Additionally, since Blaster always gets shorted with Autobot Cassettes, I've actually used an extra Laserbeak and Ravage to make a couple of custom Autobot Cassettes for his team, painting the red on Laserbeak purple and calling him NIGHTRAVEN, and painting the Ravage mold brown with black spots and calling him JAG-WAR. If I have an extra Siege Ratbat mold, I'll probably create another custom Autobot Cassette using that one too, maybecall him FREAQ(UINCY) or FEEDBACK, or something like that, as I have a few other cassette type names for bots and cons... I'll give Hasbro a little more time to put together a couple of sets to get us a Sundor, Nightstalker(?), Stripes, and Flipsides for Blaster, and a set with Enemy, Howlback, Glit, and and maybe reissue Wingthing for the Decepticon Cassettes team, before I start customizing those guys... I'm hoping Hasbro's greed and love of repaints will make those a thing, since they did the 4pk with Rumble, Wingthing, and the Knok and Skarr (PowerMasters) for Doubledealer's chest plate a few years back... Always enjoy your videos, Kyle! Hopefully, you enjoy my feedback and ramblings somewhat, as well, lol 😆.
COOL!
If i can find him ill pick him up i really like the colors. I have a Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus and his sword never felt like it belonged with him. The red sword wil fit him nicely.
I picked that up. Keeping it in the box.
Dunno why, but the head repaint makes him look evil to me, well, either that or he’s very, very angry
If you worked retail, you might be angry too.
@@ToySpotlite very true!
Got mine yesterday lol so goofy 🤪 I love it tho
This almost makes me think of those KayBee toys or Walmart exclusive repaints from the 90s. We don't get these store branded decos nearly as often. It's a cool throwback.
