Peter is a top man - whilst he was at Liverpool I regularly did yoga classes with him and his wife is a fantastic yoga teacher - absolute die hard red and represented the club with honour, distinction and empathy, and also did some of the best commercial deals in the clubs history. Just a good human being on so many levels, proud to know him
Die hard football fan is nothing to be proud of
Well... it's finally happened. After 4 years of Talksport youtube clips... finally one worth watching. Instead of Goldstein and Gabby bickering over the usual mundane nothingness.
Easily the best thing I've seen on this channel
Fair play, a CEO that remembers goals from 20 years ago. He knows his football, and is obviously business savy. Seems a great guy
The man who announced GTA IV. Legend
yes epic times xbox 360 lol
And Halo 😂
Epic trivia that!!
How’d you mean?
@@124Clue he used to be the CEO for Xbox. Search 'Peter Moore GTA IV reveal'. It was iconic at the time
What an absolute gentleman.
What a great interview and conversation
This was a “DROP THE MIC MOMENT”
What a great man.
Thank you for what you’ve done at L. F. C. ⚽️👍
the first game I saw LIverpol play was against Chelsea 1948 (ok I'm old) when we had Billy Liddel, Fagan was playing.
Love Peter. The success he has had in his life is staggering. Very astute man.
This was the best interview I have ever seen at talkSPORT. The best!
You know Liverpool fans give FSG a hard time but their recruitment, while lacking in actually committing financially, is second to none. They've had a few flops but honestly about 80%-90% of the playing, backroom or boardroom appointments are usually absolute gems.
Ain't they!
I'd say they are the blueprint of how to run a club. They may have stepped out of line on occasion but react to the fans whilst leading us forward.
They have be amazing. Really good. People don't understand how difficult it is to get 90% things right
@@kaziarhab I wouldn't go so far as to call them "amazing" because the mistakes they have made were totally avoidable; the £77 ticket fiasco, the Super League saga and never listening to the fans concerns about ticket prices could easily be stopped at the source if they had an advisor on the board who understands the fans, the city and English football culture. Someone like Kenny Dalglish for instance. However you are right what they have done for the club in renovating Anfield (albeit slowly), building the training ground, the recruitment (both playing and backroom), the way they've built the club to finally financially rival the other top European powers in the modern era instead of constantly lagging behind them, they do deserve credit for this. I'd call FSG undoubtedly competent, organised and thorough, though in comparison to other Premier League owners they're a dream, which is why people would call them "amazing"
Fantastic man! Wonderful times! This is the way! Klopp leaves us the right way 😢 Sad as it is! No one has left a club better than Jürgen Klopp will.
Football started before the Premier League. How true!!!
Simon / Jim / Danny and talk sport team , simply the most beautiful, thoughtful , articulate interview ever on talk sport .the passion the history the love .WOW
Dude tried to save the Dreamcast and did amazing with the 360 then helped Liverpool be successful again... Top guy
im praying microsoft get him back. xbox need this man.
Unfortunately I think MS business model has changed so much as has that world even he'd struggle with this live service gaming and cloud gaming@@xNSHD
Seems like a genuinely good businessman. If the world needs corporate people to make things work, I hope more are like this guy.
Superb. Had the pleasure interviewing Peter myself about his time at Sega and he was fantastic. Such a genuine guy. Even had a bit of banter about me being a Man United supporter!
We only had Origi up-front....... Two years later, he said "hold my beer"....... rest is history
N. ,
😊
Loved this guy when he spearheaded Sega’s launch of the Dreamcast in the United States.
Great interview, really presented well, seen a video of Peter at the Oxford Union, some years ago, well worth a watch, just brilliant.
What a lovely man he is.
Best guest ever on talkSPORT.
16:03 that's a savage shout on boehly 😂😂😂
I LOVE what FSG have Done. Invigorating and Exciting the fans and supporters. Getting them involved and making them a part of it all. John henry VISIBLE in Cup Finals and League Games. Love it ALL.
Fans and supporters are the same thing
@@Thai.Farang No they are not, Supporters actually go to the games, Fans are people who don’t go to the games. 👍🏻
@DarthVader-xb8gd It's called a synonym mate.
@@chumbob8947 I'm a Season Ticket holder, and I'm certainly an LFC fan
@DarthVader-xb8gd Thanks for the English lesson, knobhead
Brilliant to see two Scouse CEO's at the club. YNWA.
The Dreamcast legend 🎉🎉
This man knows!
This is the comment I was looking for 👏🏻
Very down to earth fella given all he has achieved. Good for him👏
Amazing interview 👏. What a well spoken man. Great work guys. Come on the pool
I was at that game. I sat next to a guy who rode his pushbike from East London.
Fantastic listen thank you Peter Moore consummate professional.
Didnt hear any talk about man city charges.
Such an interesting interview. So much information about how clubs in different sports are linked now. A good insight to Chelsea and Arsenal as well as LFC..
I actually remember seeing him in Chertsey years ago. He had this incredible Aston Martin.
Great guy, Great guest
Fabulous interview, Peter Moore Liverpool legend!
Great and humble man ❤
Another good guy. Knows what's he's talking about.
I have known Peter Moore for years from his time at Microsoft and EA. EA was hated among gamers for being the big bad capitalist corporation milking their hobby, yet Moore kinda got a pass in the forums for being a funny guy.
I laughed my freaking ass off when I heard him in an interview talk about "socialist" Klopp who listens to 14th century history podcasts in the plane. I heard Klopp talking a bit about his politics in german before and would have loved to hear some of the conversations these two had about all that, lol.
Amazing insight. Thank you.
GREAT INTERVIEW 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Terrific CEO. Thanks for everything Peter.
Fantastic insight, proper talkSPORT
I agree that best thing I have seen too, on this channel
17:50 listen to the voice go up 82 octaves -- he knows it's Xabi Alonso
The steven gerard scream.
yeah course
He certainly knows more about it than he is letting on, without a doubt.
I know nostalgia can be deceptive. But the greatest time as a Liverpool supporter was when you could jump on a bus to the ground and pay at the turnstile. The working man could afford to go every game. No matter how you try to dress it up the owners are just businessmen in it for financial gain.
What a fantastic Guest…. Peter Moore 🎉
Finally, I can give Simon some respect for just listening.
He knows he has nothing to say when in the presence of a proper business man
Great to Listen to, love his passion for the club
J W Henry. Fair play he came In and got the best person to run whoever department at the club and only for injuries we could of won more. This year again we bought smart with Endo so I'm all for these guys they love to win like I do so thanks for looking after our club. Because it does mean more than the City way of breaking rules to win a league
He hasn’t invested a lot in the transfer market though, Liverpool could’ve won more premier leagues had he done so
@@jakehowie442 How can you know that for sure. Liverpool only buy a player in there wanted list and if not there not going to buy out of desperation. Look at our academy kids these boys could be like the class of 92 and help to win more. We just need a decent coach to do the same press game Klopp has done since 15
How can I know for sure, because Liverpool don’t have enough quality when there are injuries or subs to get over line in big games. We’ll see
@@DarthVader-xb8gd Excellent explanation. I was trying to say what you just said perfectly. We can't afford to get transfers wrong. City can
@@jakehowie442
That's down to klopp, Rodgers had bigger squads klopp works with minimal squads
This guy might have given us a clue. Klopp family building a house in Spain he said. He could end up at Barca I’m sure. My take though
I doubt it, but you'll be very lucky to have him if so. He isn't going to take a job for a while though imo, maybe an international job might suit. It's the politics and media stress that have worn him out so Barca might not be his ideal job tbh. Certainly won't be seen in premier league again, great loss to football and Liverpool, but he leaves a great squad and youth set up for new coach coming in. Edwards return is pivotal, he was a huge influence on the structure behind the headlines, on recruitment etc. Liverpool will be fine. Fsg might seem a bit tight with money to some but for me they have done an excellent job at the club, proven that they know exactly what they are doing and have best interests of the club and supporters in mind with every decision, as he said tjey could cash out anytime tjey like, they dont take fortunes out of the club or rack up debts like say the glazers have at man u, very well run club. We will miss Jürgen but I've no doubt about them making the right choices for the future. To anyone that doubts fsg I'd say be careful what you wish for. We don't want oil state ownership, we are in good hands. But I can't see him going to Barcelona with their issues at moment, man deserves a rest.
Thank you for inviting Peter Moore on! Legend!
Great interview
Thank you, great interview...
What a nice bloke .. I watched it live on You Tube..
What a great interview!
Great interview.
A gentleman!
We may not having been inside the ground to celebrate us winning the league, but we were all outside the ground for a few nights. The media didn’t show it much.
Seems like a Very Nice Bloke and has a great attitude towards Liverpool,🔥 YNWA 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such a great interview

Excellent interview, thoroughly enjoyed the whole piece. Well done Mr White.
Fsg done great things best thing is to get klopp also bring genius Michael Edwards 😊😊😊😊😊 and hopefully xabi and Richard Hughes the club know who they want
Brilliant guest
Jim White does an amazing job asking dumb questions for which he already knows fhe answers for.
Loved Peter when he was at Xbox
Peter was fantastic at liverpool
Wicked interview love peter Moore
What a brilliant interview.. what a great job Peter done and a real nice man … fsg have been fantastic owners there’s not a Liverpool fan who ain’t absolutely buzzing with everything they have done for us …. You will always get fans wanting to spend a little more and we all guilty of that .. but we would not want to swap our owners for anyone… we spend in the correct manner we look after the club and infrastructure so so well … thank you John Henry thank you to the fsg team … you gave us klopp and that was enough but you didn’t stop there new stands new training facilities brilliant… and gave us trophies 🏆 ❤
If Jurgen 'only needs a year off' then I wonder if FSG considered giving either Lijnders and Krawietz the job, or even as a duo perhaps, for one season and then allow Jurgen to come back in? This would have been the perfect solution. Now Jurgen is going to come back into football and manage someone else after maybe a year off (possibly less).
If Liverpool FC means as much as Klopp says it does to him, I do wonder if such a solution was considered, not to say the owners would automatically accept but it'll all come out one day. Maybe in Jurgen's autobiography.
Oh well, the Liverbird will fly on regardless...
Danny Murphy is not a Liverpool Legend
Is right👍
Great guest
Absolute disgrace at EA
Liverpool are now implementing Multi-Club Ownership with Michael Edwards at the helm. The game is well and truly gone. Too much money and greed has killed the game.
Money has always ruled football, rose tinted glasses just obscure that
@@philthornton1382I thought it was only money ruining football when Chelsea and city started winning?
Glad there’s someone out there with a realistic view and not one of bitterness/jealousy
04:49 no sky didn’t do a great job. They tried charging fans for each game through pay per view and went nearly everyone refused they sacked it off. Horrible lot them lot at sly sky. Apart from that Peter what a career you’ve had. Lucky guy. All the best.
His accent is crazy can hear a bit of scouse tryna come through the yank.
Great man
Fsg and john henry have been good owners.
And yet there are so many fans who bemoan the fact they're not oligarchs spending billions.
@@ubermod5564 i know plenty of people whove become disillusioned by this mentality.
John Henry and FSG have made a few blunders but overall they have been solid owners.

Danny Murphy is a legend for the goals he scored against Man U 👍

Did they?
Excellent insight.
