- In today's video i will show you helpful techniques for mastering slipping the clutch. Everything is based on clutch engagement point, because that feeling is most important to learn for enduro riding. I am sure most of you guys know how clutch control is important for hard enduro riding. So this is right video to learn few ways how you can improve your clutch control on next level what will make huge impact on your dirtbike riding.
You can use one finger on clutch lever or two if you have really hard clutch pull (there are ways to make clutch pull lighter). Also i know some guys use middle finger for clutch but i cant because its feeling really strange to me.
When i get in really hard terrain when i need do a lot of clutch work i use two fingers, but for best clutch feeling and control i use just one.
Releasing the clutch quickly is important when you need cross logs in forest or bigger rocks. Also same technique is used when you are doing slow wheelies, pivot turns, double blip technique and other similar tricks.
The best exercise to get feeling for clutch slipping is to find small uphill and ride slightly uphill then pull your clutch in. When your dirtbike is starting to roll backwards then apply small amount of throttle and release your clutch to engage and go forward. Also use as little throttle as possible in this way you will keep low RPM what will improve your traction on rear wheel. Its better to stall the engine than making the wheel to spin and lose grip. This is great exercise to get comfortable to use your clutch.

@@TheDirtbikeRider I'm going through Suspension DR here in WA state. They are an hour away and deal primarily with Race Tech parts. I'm about 80+ pounds heavier than what the stock springs can handle. The bike suspension was actually tuned for a 180 pound rider before I purchased it.

@@TheDirtbikeRider now I'm working on wheelie and I watched some of you videos that might help me with it 😊
Просто так. Спасибо
Cool
Is that a stock lever? It looks shorter than normal. Also, thank you for the tips on how to use a hill to help learn how to control a wheelie. This is something I’ve been having a very hard time with, and I think this will help!
Looks like a stock lever that was broken (or cut). I’ve done the same thing - accidentally broken the lever and left it that way because it’s better.
What gear do you recommend doing the pop-up clutch in? 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear?
i suggest 1st gear, you will need more control when you go really slow.
@@TheDirtbikeRider thanks!
I like your bar ends where did you get them?
its from ebay, few dollars.
Mantab...
👍👍👍👍👍
👍👍
Lovely terrain. Where is this?
It's an interesting terrain, I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. You can visit me for ride
What bike do you have? 125? Or 300?
in this video 150cc
It’s just annoying with stock levers, I hate it hitting my other fingers
👍 but... Tip zero is the strong enough finger on clutch lever)))
That KTM has a very easy clutch pull but even with a stiff pull one finger is the way to do it especially doing wheelies. You have more control
Ktm has hydraulic clutch so it's easy to use one finger. In my yamaha it isn't so easy but I will try it :-)
Any more tips on popping the clutch
Do you think its good idea to make another video just about popping the clutch ?
@@TheDirtbikeRider maybe try and set a camera up focusing on the clutch. I've watched lots of videos on this but none showing the clutch action.
I'm quite new to the sport and need this in my arsenal 👍
One problem i'm short, i can barely reach the ground. How can i make these drills easier?
How tall are you?
@@Visualswitch5 5'7" 😭
@@owend_8 you should be alright I know guys shorter than you who are sick at riding
@@Visualswitch5 guess just need to practice cause i've only had the bike for about a year

Get a beta xtrainer 300 and install a low confort seat so, you’ll have a seat high of 88-89 Cm. It will be a life changing! I’m 169 Cm ! Greetings from Italy 🇮🇹
Yeah I say lol I am 5"0 and I'm on an XR250
Step 1. Take dirtbike to secluded location.
Step 2. Make sure you can be alone.
Step 3. Proceed to hump your dirtbike.
Tip: don't forget to play with the clutch. ;)

Your English is better than some Americans, at least you're trying trying to express coherent thoughts.
The real thing is. I'm good at clutch and technique, but i never had a chance ride those bike. Cus i can't afford it..
Power that bike?
Is that a 250 bike?
Its either a 125 or 150 sx

Saya minta bekasanya bos hehehe

Harus nya kasih teks
Дядя Жора по любаста его уделает.
I think your bike feels violated!
