Do not use acetone on powder coated sheets! (10:16 is just for the smooth PEI sheet)
Prusa 3D by Josef Prusa I have a question I am considering buying one BUT does it have some filament?
@@chanelcat1041 one or two roll.
arturo pendejo thanks sooooo much
nathan villeneuve just one and sorry not getting back to you something is not working with my phone
So what kind of treatment do you recommend for powder coated sheets? I am ordering an MK3 next month and think I will go with the new sheets.
Nice job Prusa! I like how you showed the proper first layer using real pictures, which will be immensely helpful!
Hi Josef, this Video marks the end of an excellent Documentation! I finished the Build of the Mk3s 2hs ago. No problems, everything worked from the beginning. Thanks a lot!
I love that this is available as a kit or pre-build at different/affordable price points. REALLY AWESOME. open source; great for developers. OUTSTANDING!
Hi Jo! I just received my MK3 last week and I want to thank you for making such an amazing product. The Printer works absolutely perfect from the first print and I already ran it overnight without any problems.
This video will really help me setup my printer up ! Happy New Years
I hope this means your review will be coming soon. I bought one yesterday anyway based on your other reviews and your thoughts on this machine, I hope I made the right decision :-D
Because I don't know how to build a reprap and am a CZcams shill
After the selftest it said to me "Filament Sensor Wiring error" but I double checked the cable. I also used a multimeter and the wire is totally fine. What should i do now?

Thank you! Just completed building my new i3 mk3 worked, first time! printed Prusa logo looks good, now printing whistle. I can't wait for the MMU 2.0! Will be printing conductive and flexible for various projects. Another satisfied customer
Just bought my first printer. Very excited. Love the quality instructional video! Very much appreciated 🙏
Just test printed the first object. Thank you for the instructions. It was a joy to assemble the printer myself, over the weekend.
Finished assembling my MK3 a week ago, apart from fiddling with Z-level to get proper bed adhesion, it has been working perfectly! cheers
Finished the build of my prusa a few minutes ago and am already printing! Great machine!!!
The live Z calibration is an awesome feature! Very impressive machine.
The mk2 had that already
This video saved my ***. I got the fully assembled version and thought I needed to do calibration but it erases the already configured calibration. I really didn't know what to look for in the first layer and giving me the reference point of "about 1mm" was exactly what I needed to know to start. Thank you!!!
Nice video Josef. @9:38 is a good photo for how the first layer calibration should look.
I will never the money for this printer but seeing it being set up and printing brings joy to me !! Nice one Josef.
I just placed an order for the Prusa i3 MK3s. This makes me happy that, after 3 weeks of watching videos, I decided to buy the Prusa
There's something very gratifying in seeing people focus on innovation and quality. Not following everyone else and doing things their own way often finding far better ways.
I'm looking into 3D printers for a moment now. After a lot of research I got so hyped for a MK3s! Can't wait to get my wife around so I can actually buy one.
Just got my assembled MK3 today, first print was perfect. Thanks for everything!
Josef, great video!! These videos will help a 3D printing novice such as myself get up and running quickly with the Prusa MK3. Thanks again!!
Just ordered my MK3S yesterday. Super excited to start printing.
I have only been printing for about 7 months now. I've been bitten by the bug. I have 4 printers already and this is definitely gonna be my fifth. I hear a lot of good things about your printers. I cant wait to get mine. 🤗
Bye bye K8200, hello i3.. keen to start putting ours to use!
Never would of took you guys for 3D printing people, but I’m a great fan and can’t wait for you to incorporate 3D printed parts into a future build even if it is just for a dashboard switch cover or something tiny
Moog and Marty! Great to see you guys here!
Great video! I always follow your instructions and rarely have any problems with my mk2s. I look forward to the same experiences with my soon to arrive Mk3 upgrade kit.
Just bought your MK3 Printer for my son for Christmas, really looking forward to get into 3D printing! 👌🏻
Thanks Josef and team! Still waiting for mine to ship, but this will be incredibly helpful come February! :)
Also, I just purchased that intro music track for a client based video I’m editing and I’ve heard nothing but that audio track for two days, so I laughed pretty hard when the first thing I hear after getting back from the office is that same darn track. 😂😂😂
what is music's name ?
I just finish building it!!! A Piece of art! ... will spend more time building things instead of adjusting/fixing the freaking printer.... Thank you Prusa Team!
Dude shout out Joe for putting up a video so I don’t have to read the handbook and can just follow along after assembly. Dudes a real G
This video did not helped me in setting up my printer, assembly guide and user manual was enough. What this video did was accompanying me for 25 minute calibration process so I did not felt alone. Thanks Josef :)
Great video Josef, Crystal Clear Instructions ! Happy Printing.........
Just bought Prusa Mk3 thank you for your video the setup was super easy
I couldn't figure out why my prints were so wonky after calibration, this video showing the -1.1mm really rung the bells and I just finished the badge without errors. Thank you!
Wow, you have spent a long time programming that wizard to be so easy to use.
Adam Bryant I'd guess it to be one of the easier parts, however I see it's immensely valuable.
Hi, I am Hong Maker. I am glad that the Korean subtitles I made are reflected in this video.
Thank you for the subtitles!
First print is running. Took me like 10 hours to build the printer.Great quality! What I needed, just fire and forget until it‘s done! :-)
I finished building my mk3 in prox. 6 h and calibration / 1. layer hight in prox. 30 min. I have printed some things from SD. Everthing works perfekt from the beginning on. Thanks Prusa Team !!!!
The "Adjusting Z" calibration to dial in the initial layer until it is "Nice and squished" *as it prints* is incredible. Great idea.
Well, if you have an old-fashioned bed with thumbscrews for levelling, that's what you do all the time.
Outstanding guide ! No wonder why Prusa is the best !
Great idea to make such a series of Videos , cant wait my MK3 arrives.
Thanks for the video, looking forward to my new printer in Feb :)
I am sooo excited!! (Typing this with one hand while holding a white sheet of paper as the printer is calibrating the 4 corners :) )
Glad to be a proud owner of a Prusa Mk3s since today!😁
I moded some Prusa i3 MK3S and printed also PEEK. They work great. I also built an professional enclosure. There are great working machines with enough space for improvements.
Excellent and informative video, thanks a lot. Can’t wait to receive my printer.
Man I want one of these! Good job Joe!
can't wait for mine to arrive in on thursday. At the uni lab i have dmls sls sla and fdm by stratasys, haas and such major brands to play with, but this is my first very own 3d printer and i am excited like a child:) It took me 3 weeks to decide. I really can't wait even paid eur20 more to have guaranteed 2 day delivery:) I know the result will be far from what i've experienced with the big machines, but now i can wake up at 2am with some idea , draft it and have it ready in the morning. The choice was between Zortrax 3 and the Prusa mk3s and Prusa won by the waaay lower price , the great community built around it and the great vibe it has. And now it is miiiine!
Loved the MK2 so much I had to get the MK3! Great support, great printer, I wish I could manage everything as good as you! Did it right! BTW - just got my MK3 up and running, prints awesome! Awaiting an MK4...
Costs more but worth every cent. Brilliant company.
Josef thanks i finally got a working 3d printer and man its quiet!! Assembled in a afternoon printing in the evening. NO more Chinese crap only prusa original from now on!!! Thanks a lot!!!!
I received my Prusa yesterday, I have not unpacked it yet. Will do so next week, I am truly excited
Why wait a week
Hello Josef.
Thank you for the really great product! And your presentation! I am excited for laying my hands on this machine. First few prints work as designed!!
Vladimir.
I still can’t believe how nice or a release that print bed is.
Definitely better than exploding glass.
Just got my printer ordered! I can't wait for it to arrive. Though I'll have to indeed wait.
Every company should do this kind of videos.
Got a mk3 coming mid February!!!! Can wait!!! 😆😆
Hi Josef, Thanks for the information videos, I'm waiting for the delivery of mine
Thank you so much for that video Josef!
Thank you for including troubleshooting for this. I hate it when other tutorials just assume everything goes well without a single problem.
Superb quality video Joe, just like your printers.
OMG cant wait! thanks Josef!
There printers are top quality, simple and easy to use. but that's not why they are the best in my opinion. There easy to understand software and guides are what makes them great! And who cant love this guy :,D
I love my mk2 and I am so getting the mk3 :D
Looks as a good and improved version!
Great product...cannot wait to either buy one or build one
Couldn't it be doing the heater tests at the same time as some of the other tests to save time?
Thank you Josef I wish other Companies follow your lead
Very nice! ... i have to wait till february getting my i3 MK3 hard time to wait
I have a Prusa i3, love it. Actually considering a second for the sake of speed
Nice checking procedure! Here still extruding plastic with older i3.
I can't wait to get one of these
Thanks for this, just built my mks3s and was having adhesion issues, and thankfully the vid showed nozzle was still too high! 👍😁
Great job as always
Thanks setting my new mk3 right now :)
I just bought this so I can build a Tesla turbopump which means I'm going to test if my concept* works AND I get to use my awesome new Prusa i3 MK 3 to replace my broken dishwasher nozzle at the same time!
Huzzah! Thanks so much Josef and the rest at Prusa 3D! You're a good eggs and I hope history has a page for your folks cuz you deserve it!
*Tesla turbo-pump will have a vacuum compressor intake before and after a Tesla turbine to suck the heat out of the water and hot air inside the dish washer resulting in faster drying/cooling without having to expend any extra energy besides what's already used to wash the dishes.
I mean I wanted to start with a (what might be a self-powering) turbofan instead but the wife told me it was either I fix the dishwasher or I'm on exclusive hand-washing dish duty for the house until I get that nozzle fixed so it's that while doing turbofan or put the tasks together.
Nice promo vid there Josef. I've heard a lot about the Prusa but never seen one. Looks like a good printer.
Ich habe seit zwei Jahren einen MK3s, ich liebe diesen Drucker. Der funktioniert super, würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen .
Perfect explanation. Thank you
Josef you are a legend among men! so very glad you are making such world beating progress
i cant wait to order one possibly next month
As always such a good and professional job !! carry on!
Josef Prusa is a brave, brave man tipping his IPA bottle towards his laptop... salute to you.
I just bought my first Prusa last week and already i cant wait for it to get here... 3-4 weeks to go...
Awesome!
After five years this machine comes with the same screen panel. Wow!
Should be getting my MK3 today in the mail. Super stoked.
Ordered a MK3 last month and waiting for my April 9th shipping notice. Unfortunately i keep watching all the videos and looking at STL files i want to print which is making the wait excruciating... I can't wait to get mine!
Just purchased one today
Thank you very much for what you do - the manual was extremely well done and I built my Mk3 kit which came out perfectly (according to the self test everything was perfect) and I printed the logo just like on this video. The only problem I have is, what do I do with all the extra screws that you supplied with the kit! :-) Thanks Joe!
"super dzięki za pomoc" will go for mk3s next week ))
Josef - Thanks for this great video! You seem like a really straight-up guy and I love the way you are continuously striving for top quality! I'm a few clicks away from purchasing not only your newest printer (pre-ordering) but also the multi-material upgrade as well. Are there any discounts in the works for purchasing both at the same time? I've watched countless videos from all the key players that support your product, but before I go back searching for any discounts you might have running, I thought I ask you personally? Please advise and thanks for all of your work in this industry. I'm pretty good at building things, so plan to pre-order the kit rather than the built model to save as much money as I can.
Love this guy!
Great Job,Nice Video..
Thank you for your video 😊
Will try to get one 👍
I am having issues with Calibration. Built it ourselves, and I keep getting an X Axis error when it goes all the way left. It stops, then gives me the error. Tried a few things and not sure what’s going on.
Thank you for the video. I am considering your "Original Prusa i3 MK3S kit" as my very first 3D printer. You mention in the video to use isopropyl alcohol of at least 90% concentration to clean the bed. Most of the isopropyl alcohol we find in the US is only 70% concentration. However, denatured alcohol (almost pure ethyl alcohol, ethanol) is readily available at hardware stores. Can I use denatured alcohol instead of isopropyl alcohol to clean the bed?
Very interested in this product 😃👍
CONGRATS!!
Thanks for this Josef, very interesting to know how to set up correctly. I was given a Prusa i3 (I think it may be one of the very first models. I’ve been replacing parts which were broken etc and it seems to be okay, except for an issue with the software. It is a 200mm cube print area, and I wanted to know how do I get the software to reinstall on the machine. I think it’s got a glitch in it. Any and all assistance is appreciated 😊
