    I said it on my previous comment on one of the other recent videos: We underestimated the impact RLC had on the team and it showed when he couldnt play due to injury. It doesnt matter who subs in for him, neither Krunic, nor Musah, Adli or Pobega are near this player... I can only dream of when Bennacer comes back and we can have a midfield of RLC, Bennacer and Reijnders

    • @footballkush

      My concern with RLC was always about injury and I honestly never saw these performances coming from him, he's been my surprise player!

      If Reijnders didn't improve his shooting and tackling ability, our Musah might steal the starting 11 spot from him

      @@footballkushi believe that their recent Performances also might have filled them with their rage that became a motivation for the entire team to show the naysayers and Milan skeptics of who they are, they bloody showed everyone who they are. Still I am not that satisfied with pioli, his substitution strategy and his gameplan still has some loopholes. The presence of Ruben Loftus cheek aided in filling those loopholes. Also there is the issue of players getting injured in the training ground, what is pioli even doing in the training ground that players are getting frequently injured? I understand with the case Ruben but what about the others? Palegerino just came off the bench against Napoli and he gets injured, pierer kalalu was not even fit and he required operations why was he not operated earlier? On that basis i beleive pioli needs to go for the squad to reach the next level.

      Once Benecere is back I would put him, RLC and Musah. Rjeinders will be good coming in as a sub in He needs to earn his position. That should be good for Milan as well

    It is clear this team performs at another level when RLC is healthy and playing. He was a monster at winning the ball back in the midfield and carrying it forward.

    Like you said it was a team win. I was a bit surprised my man Musah didn't get a mention. He was absolutely disruptive of any attack through the center. Defended all over the box. Pressed up high and had good darting runs.

  • @hevanli13
    @hevanli13 Před 6 měsíci +3

    I have been defending Calabria since say one. He needed to grow into his new role physically and mentally, and has been doing so over time. Him and Pulisic are very dynamic in the offense, but also work great together in defense. RLC without injuries has to be top 5 midfielders in the world, that physicality with speed and technique! He single handily slapped PSG around. Musah is 20 what a steal of a signing, and if Tiju could finish he would be a top midfielder as well, he has technique and his cardio is ridiculous. Overall what a team performance it was something we fans desperately needed, but how taxing was that on the players, that was a brutal game PSG got away with a lot of nasty fouls. I think the international break and Lecce games will give us some good needed rest, in the intensity aspect of things.

  • @ivanernestomujicarios8647
    @ivanernestomujicarios8647 Před 6 měsíci +13

    I think Pioli waits too long to make the substitutions.. Leao and Pulisic had to fall to be replaced, then we wonder why we have so many injuries. Keep having this feeling that Pioli is overloading the players.

      @aaroncollymore5982 Před 6 měsíci +3

    Why didn't Milan play like this in the previous game against PSG?? THIS is HOW Milan WAS SUPPOSED TO PLAY! Mbappe, Kolo Muani, and Dembele could basically do nothing the entire evening. And I was glad to see Leao tracking back and helping Theo out in defence. He should stop being so lazy and help out. And what a STRONG performance by Loftus-Cheek (Mount Loftus 🏔). Shrugging off his opponent everytime with such physicality and strength and making those powerful driving runs forward. He was an absolute beast last night. By sitting back and allowing PSG to have the ball, Milan could effectively utilise Leao's trickery and pace, Theo could make better supporting runs forward, Calabria could offer more in attack and I noticed Reijnders also helping Calabria out. This is how Milan should play against Inter as well next time. This was a beautiful defensive display as an Italian team should play. I hope Pioli realizes that going forward now. Forza Milan ❤️🖤.

    So proud of Milan today! They played with so much heart, so much soul. The embodied what it means to be Rossoneri, grit, teamwork, determination. For the first time I am seeing a proper geling of the team. I must commend Pioli for playing Musah behind Loftus Cheek and Rejinders. It unlocked Loftus Cheek in a way that we have not seen in his career, this is what Chelsea needed him to be and injuries and coaches maligned that

    I have been waiting for a long time to see another mountain on the pitch that has almost the same style and attributes as YaYa Touré. If they could just capture in a bottle the first half against Napoli and this game against PSG and really become that team, they could win any trophy they want. Forza Milan! Ps Calabria's main problem was the formation, 433 in that ultra attacking style was changing the attack angles teams run at our defense with but they played 4231 yesterday and you could see the difference. Plus it's easier to get that midfield help with the double pivot.

    Tbh, and im really glad we managed to get a win, still think that we are sinking ship with Pioli. Yes, we miss a lot of players, but we saw against Inter and Udine recently that this man hasnt got any tactics up his sleeve and if we watch yesterdays game the amount of times Psg left 3 of our guys behind and multiple psg players were left unmarked is absurd. So i really hope that managament are seeing this and Pioli get kicked out, for our sake. He hit his ceiling of coaching abilities.

    Takeaway in three words: They showed up.
    Little bit of Trivia: the man holding the gun is Jean-Paul Belmondo, a French actor who was huge from the 70s onwards, playing in mostly action movies, performing his own stunts, a French Tom Cruise. He is also one of the founding members of PSG when Stade Saint Germain merged with Paris FC (club that would later reform and currently plays in the French second division).
    The Neo was pretty good. As a music buff, I would have gone with a Rolling stones reference "Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name!" A gentle reminder of who we are.

    Bend don’t break and defense wins championships are hallmarks in American sports. That was the mentality against psg and the mentality we should have when we go against high possession teams and counter attacking in the league games. We essentially have destiny in our hands in the champions league, all we really need is to win out.

    In all fairness, i think Pioli should just cut the crap and stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation, that's the line up and tactical scheme that made this team champions in 2021 and it's the one that works the most, instead of doing crazy experiments with new formations of 3-4-3, 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. Just stick with what works and build from there.

    Theo Hernandez is a riddle for me.
    There is no question about his quality, he easily could be a masterclass. His speed is incredible, he can serve his teammates with marvellous balls also.
    On the other hand, he is a bad actor and he simulates too much. He makes child’s mistakes. Sometimes unwary, lazy, arrogant.
    PSG recieved the corner kick from the counter attact after Theo lost the ball…
    I think he has the same issue as Leao, bad mentality.

Tactically piolo didn’t do anything different to get these players to play well. Rafa just decided to go out and get it! That’s on Rafa and why I said piolo doesn’t have galacticos. If Piolo had this level from his players every game and then they lost or tied because of bad player selection, setup formation, tactics etc then it’s on Piolo

Our fullback will play much better in their traditional role : overlap and cross the ball. please don't use complicated tactics. Transitional play and high pressing is our identity over past year under Pioli. I think he needs to revert back tactic to the old one. Which today's work against PSG

    Was the line up a 4231 or a 433? If it is the former then maybe. Milan should stick with that.

    Great performance for real, Loftus was a literal tank and leao did bring around all psg players like they was kids, imo calabria weak points are the speed and the physique but yesterday almost pocketed mbappe fantastic game by all the team this is the Milan we would like to see in every game, by the way sacchi talk a bit too much he said if he was Milan coach then he would bench leao immediatly and said Milan's problem is becouse all the players are foreigners which imo is a stupid statement for a big old coach like him, like every team buy foreign players and big teams in particolar steal all the best foreign players around so is a non sense, also english exist so i think he in his head still in the 90' where in italy was not common to speak english and still applicating this thinking process on modern days which is totally wrong, i would say when sacchi talk just take his words not too much seriously becouse he starting to become old and the age sometimes do bad jokes

    Dude didnt silence anyone with half a brain... so what if he managed to finally halfways who up for thr first time in ghe champions league odds are next gamr he will go bsck to his usual self which is walking 95% of thr game and lightly jog for 4% of the game and maybe run for 1%... also the bicycle kick had to be the laziest thing i have ever seen was basically what you do when training a 6yr old on how to do a bicycle kick when starting out also was 100% unmecessary all he had to do was back up and shoot because was zero pressure or reason to bicycle it also thr kick was horrific snd he sent it straight into the ground only thing that caused it to go in was #1 how close he was #2 the defenders backs were turned #3 the keeper was shielded from seeing the ball from all the players directly in front of him

    Sorry you got it wrong Calabria got help from the midfielders, Reijnders to double mark Mbappe that was the gameplan.
    One one Mbappe was show him his heels as always. Calabria is not good enough. Maybe for Serie A but in Europe defensively he is not up to the task especially one on one.
    About the gameplan the same was on the opposite site to neutralize Dembele a midflielder (musahl would help the Theo.
    Still a good but unexpected win and still think Pioli has to go.
