    Does this technique work for patients with advanced periodontal disease? What would happen if while doing this technique, you inserted that gel used to regrow bone in the pocket cavity? Although I have all my teeth a few are getting loose and I am not willing to undergo extractions and implants. looking for alternatives to that.

      I paid 6500€ for pinhole surgery in Austria and lost all my money and have a worse situation than before. I didn't find many comments on CZcams maybe they get deleted. But i searched the Internet and found a thread where many people write they lost thousands of dollars or euros and for nothing. They all regret it. I only found two comments from ppl who said it has slightly improved but hundrets who regret it. I shouldn't have done it, it's one of the biggest regrets of my life and i cry everyday because it's so much worse than before. The dentist said it's a bad result but didn't really care. The surgery itself was very brutal and painful torture. I also found comments from professionals on the Internet who warn people, one doctor had it done on himself and ist warning people not to do it.
      My Front lower teeth got lose from the surgery and i found a comment from another person who wrote the same. The pinhole dentist said they might have been lose before but my main dentist doesn't believe it. No matter how much you wish to find Help: Stay away from this surgery

    • @carinaekstrom1
      @carinaekstrom1 Před rokem

      I think clenching and grinding would affect the teeth, not the gums.

    • @DNSMLT
      @DNSMLT Před rokem +1

      Brushing the wrong way and using a hard toothbrush affect the gums. Don't brush back and forth. "Use circular motions at a 90% angle". I taught oral hygiene years ago.
      For reference put your hand in a fist. Take your toothbrush and practice where your fingers meet the top of your hand. You'll see how the bristles go between your closed fingers. Brush gently after every meal. Don't use harsh, abrasive, whitening, toothpaste.
      I also use peroxide. It kills bad bacteria while keeping good bacteria.

      The term “long in the tooth “ actually comes from horses. You can estimate an adult horse’s age by looking at the teeth length (also the grooves and angle).
      This was in use long (no pun intended) before there were dentists.

    My teeth have shifted over the course of 16 years and I have had some gum recession. One part is particularly in the molars. I feel the problem is uneven loading of my bite. If I had the gum recession corrected, is it advised to have braces again or invisalign to correct the bite distribution? Would bite correction help prevent gum line issues in the future? Would there be concerns over the loss of mandibular bone mass?

    • @DNSMLT
      @DNSMLT Před rokem +1

      Don't get bite correction before speaking to a periodontist. It can ruin your TMJ.

    • @aznboy131
      @aznboy131 Před 9 měsíci

      Usually, you want to do periodontal grafting before orthodontic treatment. However, in a case wherein the periodontal issues are *caused* by hyperocclusion (traumatic bite forces), you want to try to address the traumatic bite first, whether that be with orthodontics (if the problem is due to misalignment of the teeth) or a splint/botox (if the problem is related to a clenching habit). Otherwise, any benefit gained from the periodontal grafting may be eliminated by the persistent bite problem.

    • @josephrnemeth
      @josephrnemeth  Před 4 lety +3

      In some cases the pinhole technique will cover up the black triangles. However, it heavily depends on your gum tissue and the size of the black triangles. The vast majority of patients who come into my office for recession are good candidates for the pinhole technique.

    this doesn't work. because the gum recession is due to recession of bone.
    move gum down is not going to make the bone to grow back. It may look ok for a while, but will not last.
    so you end up with deep pockets, which will be prone to food getting in there and cause infection,
    and gum will recede again.
    it's reverse procedure of normal gum surgery, where they reduce the pocket depth, but expose more teeth.

      I responded to your comment on my other video. However, just to make sure you and others know, the price of the Pinhole Technique is based on how many teeth need to be treated. Sometimes, it costs less than what your graft would have been. I've seen it cost more too... it all depends on what you need!
