  • This is notch filtered pink noise, with the notch centered at 6 kHz (6000 Hz). Pink noise is white noise with a filter for the high frequencies. The notch filter is created by overlapping a low-pass filter and high-pass filter, so that 6 kHz is the center point between the two filters. All Tin-Ear videos are set to a continuous black background.
Many people enjoy listening to pink noise for the soothing effects that it can have. A frequency centered pink noise can help with 'tuning out' a particular external or internal sound at that frequency. The notched pink noise used here is the same pink noise used in my neuromodulator and notched noise video, but has the notch widened slightly for a more notable effect.
Tin-Ear videos are for entertainment purposes and should not be used to replace any medical advice and is not a medical treatment. Listening to these audio recordings is done at the listener’s discretion as well as at the sound level of their own discretion. Always begin by listening at low levels and only increasing sound after learning about your reaction to the audio.
