Thanks for this video. Appreciate you taking the time to make these vids. I dont have a tester (can you link that one you have?) but hope you can help with my issue. '15 800r etec is new to me and has been starting fine. It's been below zero fahrenheit the last couple days and this issue just started in that time so wondering if its related to temps. Anyway the screwdriver trick (thanks for that) started the sled. Whats interesting is that if I run it, then turn it off to do a gas fill up or something it will start after. However if I let it sit for more time (30 mins or moreish) it wont start and I'll have to jump it again. It sits on a trickle charger most of the time so battery is full. Any thoughts? I swapped both fuses too and issue persists.

HELP! I'm new to sledding and bought a used Ski Doo 2008 MXZ X 800r. Having issues with hand grip warmers....at idle, I turn the switch on and the grips heat up right away (shows on the display) then shuts off approx 15-30 seconds but still showing ON on the display. Took it out Friday and ran it up and down the trail at high RMP with same result. If I flip the switch off then back on, it does the same thing. Also, the thumb warmer does the same thing. Thanks!

    Hey Bobby, and ohters
I have a 2012 GSX SE 1200 with the same exact symptoms.
It has been to the dealer 2X where they changed out the battery and then the battery ground wires do to corrosion
IF I do the solenoid screwdriver post connections, It will try to fire but fuel pump etc is not operational by doing this so it will not start but turns over.
I have swapped the 2 relays with known working ones (identical sled) as well as start button fuse and main fuse with same result.
***The only way I have had any success in getting it to run is tipping on its side and letting it fall, or picking it up from rear bumper and dropping it a few times.***
Once started, it will run as normal (even go into reverse) until you shut it down again.
Looking to see what your thoughts are.
My next task I think is to look at the wiring at the starter motor itself (Thinking something is loose where it starts if you beat it up)
    Thoughts??
Thanks for your time. And keep up the great videos

man I wish it were this easy on this 2013 rev xu 600. I did the screw driver trick on the solenoid but no spark, used the handle bar start button but there's a super weak connectivity and barely spits out the starter. a few other wrench savy guys had looked at it and tried adding a ground wire to see if any change. nada. all new fuses, a new solenoid, new electric starter, no spark. what else could this mean? any input would be greatly appreciated.

@Bobby Rebussini hi there I'm having the same issue, only starts when I bypass the solenoid with a screwdriver. I bought a new solenoid and still doesn't start. I have power coming from the plug that goes into the solenoid. My button works though because it goes into reverse no problem. What did you do at the end when you took the fuse out? Did you just replace it and that was it?

Similar problem with my 2012 TNT 600 Etec, but it’s the 30A that keeps blowing. Seems to be related to the combination of accessories that I’m using. Hand grips heat ok, but with hand, thumb, and shield all on, fuse will blow. Seems like a 12v short somewhere...any ideas?

All at once or can you isolate it? Assuming you can’t isolate it I would imagine stator related. If you’re not putting out enough power the current draw increases which will blow the fuse
