What a great video!!! I have the same sled and the same problem. In fact I know at least a dozen friends with the switches popping off!! Ski-doo, WTF wanting $379.00 for that module. I figured the housing was exactly the same but they changed the male/female connections. Thank you so much for confirming this!!
Hey I found you can use the broken switch!!! Under the “button” looking things that don’t move, the switch mechanism shifts left-right, using a small screwdriver it can be shifted so you don’t freeze your hands
Can you do a video on where the red kill switch hooks up to? I got the same sled and it didn't have a kill switch on the handle bar when it bought it and can't find any info on it and it want to put one on so it don't have to solely rely on the tether
@@mudbrats thanks for the response, and quick too, sick! What exactly does the top yellow switch do, right to left? Also is there a chance my sled doesn't engage the heat until I'm actually moving?
@@mudbrats thank you. So I can just cut off the old and new connectors, reconnect the old connector to the new wires but in the color code you mentioned. No need to swap harness from the actual switch correct? Thanks again
So mainly just the plug for the kill switch will be the different one correct? The others just pull out of old control and put in the new controller right?
Mode/Set button - Use it for changing whaty is displayed on the dash (rpm, elevation, spd, top spd, avg speed etc) - Also use to set Summer Oil mode - I have a video on that

Yes all the XP have this issue.... Ours hasnt come off again so I wonder if they addressed that problem on newer machines
I bought just the face for 150.

unfortunately i dont have the 2009 skidoo snowmobile anymore
What do the switches do??????? Can't find any diagram of how to use and control the heated grips. Please and thanks
One is for controlling heated Grip temp and one is for heated thumb temp

So any left handed switch housing should be similar that you know of? Big spread in costs between years. Thanks
yes the newer ones are the same.... and i know some people have out the Gen4 switch which is really cool

So was the new switch from a newer sled?? I have a 2009 1200 and just bought one from a 2012 and will probably have to do some switching around.
Yes it was newer, but I think it was only the 600 that had the different plug on it
Ok yeah mine is a 2009 1200 and I got one from a 2012 600 coming. The plug does look different on the new one
So mainly just the plug for the kill switch will be the different one correct? The others just pull out of old control and put in the new controller right?
i would love to buy the m/s button from the old switch!
email me at fanphoto@mudbrats.com and we can work it out
@@mudbrats perfect email should be coming
There are replacement switches for sale on ebay.
yes and any wrecker has them
I meant the individual buttons. So you don't have to spend $300 on the entire assembly.
@@markmaciejewski9081 the buttons won’t stay on if the controller has broken mounts
@@mudbrats It includes a new mount

@@mudbrats ohh okay lol I don’t have the premium gauge so that was the first I’ve ever seen that lol
I still can't figure out how to even use them buttons !!
i hear ya!
