This is a great video! I’ve been intimidated by this tool for years but you just explained it so well. Maybe now I will be able to diagnose any electrical issues with my vintage sleds in the future. Thank you!
Hey Al. Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
These things were a mystery to me until I got my ATV and sleds. Since I posted my ATV winch video I've had a couple of requests for a video on how to use the multimeter. I'm not an electrician, but here's what I understand about how to use them in solving electrical issues.
This video was great! I sort of understand how to use one but this cleared all doubts and I'm confident in my troubleshooting abilities now. I was looking for a video exactly like this and you provided it
Great tutorial on a tool that can save time and money for everyone. Saves guessing and unnecessary parts changing. Thx
Thanks farmark. (Is it Mark?) Glad you liked it
This was very helpful
Great video refreshes me on meters thanks
You’re welcome Mark. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Great video explaining multi testers.
Hey Jeffrey! Thanks very much. Glad you liked it.
A multimeter should be in everyone's toolkit. Even if you only check to see if your battery is charging, or continuity tests on relays, great to have a meter.
I agree. Thanks for watching Craig.
Yes finally thank you! Been waiting for this video to drop ever since you said you’d make one last year.
Thanks for waiting!
Great video Dave. I don't currently own a sled but really enjoyed the lesson on using a multimeter.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great information on how to read others meters and what they indicate well done.
Hi Scott. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.
Oh no thank you I didn't really know now they worked that well . Love your show that you do great information keep doing what your doing .
Reading AC current on my old Skidoo kind of threw me as I expected to see DC current going to the headlight. So no rectifier circuit on 1997 Skidoo.
Correct i installed a rectifier in my 97 to power an accessory outlet. You could also probably install a regulator regulator from a sled with estart
@@MyOldSled yes...I could see that could be easily accomplished in order to get some DC voltage if necessary. My AC voltage level was OK...but I have burnt out headlight and tail light. So something caused that.
You know you wanted to make a joke when talking about rectifiers, just admit it. Nice job explaining how to solve one of our least favorite problems with a sled.
:) once or twice..l
