close to 9.5oz in a men's size 9 seems super heavy for a race day shoe compared to other companies making their race day shoes below 8, hopefully the energy return makes up for it
They look so comfortable tho
I've always been more of a "feeling" guy than numbers - I know it's heavier but it hasn't felt significantly heavier to me yet. Will keep y'all posted when I do a long run in them

I just ordered the alpha fly 2 for races but had no idea hoka was releasing these. Which ones would you pick?
Hokas are my daily trainers and I have zero issues
If you're used to Hokas like myself use them, ive just purchased these shoes as i can't race in anything else
I haven't done a long run in them yet and haven't raced so I can't answer this one for you I'm sorry!

First thing I see when I look at those shoes!? I see doctors visits from my toes being forced into a point at the end of the shoe. Feet aren’t shaped like that. Toe shaped toe box only for me.

If weight was the biggest factor every company would push weight as the #1 selling point. It's $275 due to the new carbon fibre and the high energy return.

2 pretty fast runners, that have also done their first impressions.. have also said the laces are not good. ..and also as far as elite trainers go.., they are heavy.

Yeah the laces immediately stuck out to me. Heavier definitely - have yet to do a very long run in them so I'll keep y'all posted when I do!

They sound very clackity and don't look as fast, but the technology hidden inside does wonders.
I haven't worn these for a long run yet so I can't speak on the comfort for a race yet I'm sorry!

This shoe is absolutely insane! He’s not lying… had the opportunity to try a pair today at Gazelle sports and it definitely blows the Alphaflys and endorphin elite away, even I love the Endorphin elites.
